I’m a cat person. It is reported that the “musical” frequency of a cat’s purrs will stimulate healing. Kinda like the theory of good symphony music leading to good mental calmness. I do find a cat’s purrs to be very soothing and peaceful. Best to Liam and all.
Liam is so trusting. I think he knows you are trying to help him. He has such a beautiful spirit. I hope Liam responds to his treatment so he can have a happy retirement.
I just think it's fascinating that the cat is laying on the horse's tail and that the cat is already so fond of this horse and the horse does not mind the cat. Amazing animals. Both of them.

As a child I saw the Anheiser-Busch Clydesdales so I have a special place in my heart for the draft horses. I am so impressed with what you are doing. He is a gentle giant. Edit for spelling
His injuries seem to co-inside with the weight pulling contests. The possible injuries I see happen just by watching the legs/hooves. Thank you for taking him in and making his life better.❤🐴
I despise weight pulling contest. Owners don't seem to get it . Just because a horse is huge in size doesn't mean you have them pulling heavy loads. Often time I see these horses attempting to pull load and end up struggling.
When Cory was cleaning Liam’s hooves and you were comforting him, Liam was taking every second of that in. I do believe that was the most pure and potent medicine for his soul. He took that in like no other. I think that is most healing. Awesome stuff.

1800+ lbs, 18+ hands = a whole lotta beautiful horse! His size was well demonstrated when he was being led into the vets barn...and then seeing how tiny the vets hands looked next to Liams hoofs! Bet this handsome guy puts off some serious warmth during snuggle time!❤️🐴

What die you do to him? He has much more pain in his frontlegs, than at the beginning. He has to much and to good food, if he has that thickness in his hoofs. Maybee you gave him also some medication that makes it worse and he needs to cool his hoofs with water.

Grumpy Nanny, most all draft horses are gentle. Our 8 year old Shire mare is like a giant puppy. We've had her since she was 4 months old. She's 2200 pounds and 17 hands tall. It's weird that our 8 years old Morgan mare eats more than our 8 years old Shire mare. We've had both since they were 4 months old.

He is gorgeous ❤ you are both Saints sent to this world to help these gentle giants. My horse, a 27 year old heavy and large Irish Cob has arthritis and bone cysts. He has been on previcox for a few years now and it has really helped his pain and he moves a lot which also helps preventing them becoming stiff. He has days where its uncomfortable for him but he is never lame. It is certainly worth trying different things out and for them to still enjoy a life as a pasture pet. ❤

I thank y'all for giving Liam a dignified retirement, he's earned it 😊. As an elderly person myself with a little more than the average pain m'gmt. issues I certainly understand the importance of adequate pain relief and I'm sure it will be the same deal for Liam too. People and animals will have a similar reaction to chronic pain which is that one tends to avoid activities that cause pain, which is why some GENTLE physio is a vital component of well-being. You guys deserve a medal for your excellent work and I really admire y'all and the invaluable work you do 😊.

I don’t know how the farriers are that you use, but the Idaho Horseshoeing School does fabulous work on horses with serious foot issues. It seems that they take care of a lot of neglected horses. If you need special help maybe you could talk to them? Thanks for saving these big guys and girls!!
I'm not a horse person, but I was under the impression that horses don't like you fiddling with their feet. I thought they tolerate the farrier, but they're not crazy about it. This big boy just sprauled out & made himself comfortable while you cleaned out his feet! 😂 Also, Liam dunking his hay in water before eating it reminds me of a little kid dunking a cookie in his chocolate milk before eating it! 😂 Liam is a beautiful boy. I'm so glad he's in your care.
It is easier to eat for an old horse they loose their back teeth an hard to chew so we all soak their hay an grain to a mash an shld just be on mash and feed three to four times a day and about 2 to 3 lbs each serving I had one line to 35 he looked great but he got old an just died. He was beautiful. God blessed me with the time an the love to care for cate dogs horses even oylther people's children I have raised. I am a giver God Bless you all for you being a giver too. This is a lot of hard work but God has given me things all that I said I would NEVER even get a year they were so bad off ?!!well I have soaked feed an hay for years an those really badchorescall lived to be close to being 40

The cats are brave! They rub on the horses legs and I’m always so scared they are going to get stomped.
My horse has a cat that hangs out with him and sleeps on his hay when he eats. He does not tolerate cats around his legs.

He's a Belguim horse - its their build - they are draft horses. Not like our small (by comparison) saddle horses.

I don’t know how the farriers are that you use, but the Idaho Horseshoeing School does fabulous work on horses with serious foot issues. It seems that they take care of a lot of neglected horses. If you need special help maybe you could talk to them? Thanks for saving these big guys and girls!!

I'm not a horse person, but I was under the impression that horses don't like you fiddling with their feet. I thought they tolerate the farrier, but they're not crazy about it. This big boy just sprauled out & made himself comfortable while you cleaned out his feet! 😂 Also, Liam dunking his hay in water before eating it reminds me of a little kid dunking a cookie in his chocolate milk before eating it! 😂 Liam is a beautiful boy. I'm so glad he's in your care.
It is easier to eat for an old horse they loose their back teeth an hard to chew so we all soak their hay an grain to a mash an shld just be on mash and feed three to four times a day and about 2 to 3 lbs each serving I had one line to 35 he looked great but he got old an just died. He was beautiful. God blessed me with the time an the love to care for cate dogs horses even oylther people's children I have raised. I am a giver God Bless you all for you being a giver too. This is a lot of hard work but God has given me things all that I said I would NEVER even get a year they were so bad off ?!!well I have soaked feed an hay for years an those really badchorescall lived to be close to being 40
