@mamadubalde5739 Great question! The sensor is made to hold up to hot and cold. You may need to add air to your tires due to contaction of the air in the cold but the sensor should be fine. They do have an internal battery that will fail eventually but a BMW sensor can last 5 to 7 years or more. My sensors in my x5 are 14 years old and still good :)
@@AskTheCarExperts my 2017 BMW 330i recently started showing that TPMS malfunction warning eventhough I had put air in my tires last week I checked my tires again to make sure there is no leak and there wasn’t but the warning light still came on
I use beamer code advance just to remove Rdc because I really didn't need it I used to own an E46 and it never had it and plus I'm not using the required tires front flats so why bother with it so I have disable it I'm no longer have the light on but I have a 2010 328i
Great information. Thanks 😊!
Does cold weather affect the sensor? As my car been covered in snow for 4 days

@@AskTheCarExpertsmuch appreciated
Guess I’ll have to put some air and thank you 🙏🏽
@@mamadubalde5739 Happy to help!
did the special bmw scan tool that you got a few month ago could program the rdc?
thanks
It is supposed to be able to code, but not program. I have to do one on a friend car, so I will have to try it out.
@@AskTheCarExperts please let me know if it does. thanks

@jeovanniperez3949 Sorry to hear that. A malfunction warning is usually not air pressure but a failure of a sensor or module

@isrealperez9069 That is a great solution as a workaround. I do like having tire pressure monitoring myself.
@AskTheCarExperts is that a nice way of saying that he's cheap and should have fixed it properly?
