When the weather gets cold, the pressure in your tires drops. Maintaining a proper tire pressure ensures optimum handling, maximum fuel economy, and prevents premature tire wear. After inflating your tires to the recommended pressure, your BMW requires you to perform a tire pressure reset. After completing the reset, simply drive off, and the Tire Pressure Monitoring System will recalibrate. This recalibration may take 10 minutes or more of driving.
