They just announced and released a brand new Bethesda game called Hi-Fi Rush today. It’s got such a cool style! The main character attacks to the beat of the music with a magnetized scrap-metal guitar! Maybe would’ve made for a good dlc character for your vid has it been public knowledge earlier.
That'd be sick, if he actually worked like he does in the game and attacks to the beat they could add a rock remix for every song to keep the BPM the same for all of them so its fair.

Honestly. If this video was made just a month later Chai would totally be in this Build the Roster. Heck, I’d even put Korsica as DLC for it.
Little bit late. But imagine if he could summons his friends for specials. Making him summon fighter. Also we totally need to make half of his colours reference to his friends.
I was fully expecting the Vault Boy. He's in Smash as a Mii costume, and he is the mascot of the franchise. And there's stuff you could use for his moveset: Zap guns, have him summon Dogmeat, pull out his jetpack or set a landmine. Oh, for his Final Smash, maybe have it so a nuke straight up drops on the stage, with VB cowering in a nearby Vault as the other fighters get hit by the Big One.

I know this is about games, but I would unironically enjoy seeing Clippy as a playable character in Microsoft Smash. He would be the ultimate WTF character. He has a decent amount of moveset potential too. He transformed into various objects for his animations, which could be moves. He could also use features from Microsoft office programs. For example, his up special could be a teleport where he cuts and pasts himself
Or even better/funnier make him the ultimate villain like in PlayStation All-star Battle Royale

As a bonus for the SoT pirates, Have them not only bring their pirates from the game, But as their ships for the "Final Smash".
The idea of the ship you designed, And have spent hours on during your time on the seas, Showing up at such a climactic moment is TOO GOOD to pass up.
Sounds sort of like what Sakurai was planning to have for Smash Ultimate before Steve was put into the game; The original concept was to allow players to create their own Minecraft worlds and then they would be transferred into Ultimate. However, as you can imagine, the idea ran into way too many roadblocks, so it was scrapped in favor of preset stages.
I'm an hour and a half before the premiere, and I just wanna say that Blinx the Cat BETTER not get snubbed or I will.... probably still smash that like button and enjoy the video, but I'll leave a reply to this comment where I will delicately RAZZ you, good sir!

@@Nathan-rb3qp That's because everyone's trying to ape Smash Bros. instead of trying their own things. Tbf the Smash format is such an easy way to cross over multiple iconic properties (and thus get that $$$ flowing)...

Team Pride Lands with Simba, Timon and Pumba
Team Fantasia with Ben Ali Gator and two other random Fantasia characters (maybe a magic broom)
Team Mythos with Aladdin, Hércules and Arthur
@@dougtheghoul2845 That channel seems to limit only to things directly under the Disney license rather than everything Disney owns. Personally, I think a Disney platform fighter would actually be better off copying MultiVersus. I realize that channel also made a Disney MultiVerusus video, but I think Thorgi could make a more extensive one and explore more with the concept. Especially since they didn't really include any wierd picks imo and limited it to only characters that could fight in their own franchises (even though MultiVersus has Velma in it).
For a hypothetical 3rd Season I'd love to see the protagonist of Sunset Overdrive and Shu from Blue Dragon. Actually, you could probably include all the party members from Blue Dragon as alternate colors for the same character, since they'd all probably just be puppet fighters except the puppet is a giant blue monster that comes from their shadow
Not many games get third seasons. A sequel would be more likely. But if one were to happen? Voodoo Vince, Yuri Lowell and Rita Mordio (Fighting Game Roster Announcement as the first Video Game Character Coming Out Party? A guy can hope.) for the cartoon side and The Blazkowicz Daughters, Sabrewulf and Sebastian Castellanos for the realistic/gritty side.

NEITHER company is going to want to remind people "Oh, yeah, our partnership killed Jet Set Radio AND Panzer Dragoon, which should have gone to Nintendo and Sony respectively." The, also ultimately a failure, if not as much of one, JRPG market push, at least, was a story that spanned most of the Xbox 360 console?

Small problem, SSOD belongs to Insomniac, Who is now owned by Play Station.
Hell, Even in the newest Ratchet & Clank game there's a weapon called the RYNO, It shows up in a new form each game and is the game's super powerful post game nuke. In Rift Apart, It opens a wormhole that drops something before it explodes, Some of these things are cameos to other PS IPs, This includes Sly Cooper, Jak & Daxter and... Fizzy from Sunset Overdrive. Basically cementing that, Unless Xbox can cut a deal with Play Station in a similar vain to Banjo and Kazooie for Smash, It's not happening.
For the Dhovakiin you could make the alternate skins some of the other races, let the base skin be a nord and some other be a khajiit, argonian, red guard, dark elve, imperial.
And for the ultimate you could make it a bit more cinematic if you had the Dovahkiin absorbing a dragon soul before performing the attack (purely cosmetic).

One character that I’d absolutely LOVE to see in an Xbox platform fighter is the protagonist of Phantom Dust
Phantom Dust is a fighting/card hybrid game with similar gameplay to Dissidia Final Fantasy, a major part of the gameplay revolves around building a deck of moves which could be equipped to each of the 4 face buttons during the match. I could see that being implemented by giving each special their own small deck which shuffles to a different move every time you use it.

When you brought up BJ and Doom Guy's connection, my mind went to Commander Keen, who is also supposed to be somewhere in that family tree. And from there I thought about that Commander Keen Mobile game, and from there I thought "Hmm, Mobile Game Smash"

Edit: Also Twisted Pixel was pretty big for XBLA service in the 360 era, I think if they were to get any rep in a game like this it would be either 'Splosion Man, or my personal pic Captain Smiley from Comic Jumper, the stage possibilities alone would be fun
Funny that this comes out before Hi-Fi came out, which gave us a very unique Bethesda character that would make for a perfect platform fighter.

While the game did not sell well, I feel Kameo would be a perfect pick for a fighter in this kind of a game, maybe as a weird pick for the end of a DLC season. Her specials oculd be different elemental transformations
For Rash, I’d say to give Zitz and Pimple the Color Swap treatment and make their body alterations look different. It’d be really cool!

I do agree that the Psychonauts stage being the Milkman Conspiracy would be epic, but there are so many different minds to visit in the series that the Collective Unconscious should be the representing stage, I think.
To those that don’t know, there is a machine in the series called the Brain Tumbler, and using it lets you access the Collective Unconscious. This is how you replay earlier levels.
So have the stage begin fighting on a giant brain, with various doors in the background. After some time, a door opens, transforming into a different stage.
Looking at the other stages and characters in the roster, the best most unique minds would have to be the aforementioned Milkman Conspiracy, the Meat Circus, Hollis’ Hot Streak, and and Psi-King’s Sensorium.
And I think Lily could work as a Razputin echo fighter, just make sure her pyrokinesis is utterly powerful.
My big personal "I want" stage for Psychonauts would be Black Velvetopeia because I just love the aesthetic too much & seeing it fully upgraded to HD would be glorious.
If I were to have more guest characters I would like Frank West and any characters that Valve would allow. As far as more oddball stages; maybe some based off Fusion Frenzy, Kinect Adventures, and some of Rare's old Spectrum games.
I would also throw out the guy from mass effect or titainfall. This will definitely be a weird suggestion but I would throw out the guy from ROBLOX. ROBLOX has been console exclusive to xbox for years now and it could be a huge get in terms of promoting xbox smash considering how ROBLOX was and still is
Personally as a fun joke fighter with Xbox ties, I was thinking liberty prime. Maybe not as much as a joke as other but with iron giant in multiverses (and Godzilla maybe joining him) it would be amazing to have that dynamic of the short and tall one, like ig has in multi with gizmo, have Lb be a counterpart to ori in that sense
Edit: made more sense for the second fighter to be more well known, maybe have one of the more famous super mutants or codworths

Imagine a platform fighter character whose attacks all sync to whatever song is playing. Chai would birth a new kind of matchup based on the stage's music.
Like, imagine you hear Rip and Tear starting up and looking over at your opponent pissing their pants because you're playing as Chai.
Honestly I would love to see the Knights from Castle Crashers appear as dlc. I have good memories playing that game with friends on the 360 arcade
I think only problem I could see. Which one we include. It be hard, because all of them, kinda have different stats. Will we then pull Belmont? Like put all their moveset into one character, witj colours being rest of knights.
All four of them. Pokemon trainer style. Or maybe you play as the red night and summon the other three?
Because of these genres of origin, I almost think a third person arena fighter could be a decent direction for a Microsoft crossover fighter, with something like a Multiversus custom badge equip system.
Also my dream stage would be Microsoft Paint.

Nice to see this get picked as the next Build a Roster, I recall a name idea for this being X-Brawlers or maybe Cross-Brawlers IDK it was long ago.
For character ideas:
- Kasumi: a second character to give DOA some rep, she is the character many think of when people think of DOA, plus making an alternate costume based on the beach volleyball attire would be a bonus.
- Shu from Blue Dragon, here's an out there choice but it does count since the first game was exclusive to the 360 plus it adds some variety to not have the game mostly be full of western IPs.
- Dark Queen, a bit self explanatory since more villains would be neat and who better than the big bad from Battletoads.
- Gargos, another villain rep though he is also to represent KI2 since the others are from the first and recent game, plus the variety of moves could be neat to see translated like summoning minions and teleporting.
- Chell from Portal, was thinking about which Valve character would be neat and picked one that would be different than just the standard shooter, plus Portal did appear in the xbox first (along with PC) so it somewhat counts.
- Lara Croft, for a guest character I went with a character that could be their answer to Nathan Drake, a bit cheating since it appeared in different consoles although there was Rise of Tomb Raider which was a timed exclusive to the xbox
Notes:
For Noble Team, I would say give Noble Six Jun, Kat, Emile and Carter as skins, and then make Jorge a skin for Chief.
Since they're both second-gen Spartans, meaning they are enormous lads compared to first, third and fourth gen Spartans, this frees up Jorge to be about as big as he should be without the hitboxes being weird. For a stage, imagine a rare easter egg where you see an event from Red vs Blue play out in the background like Simmons, Grif and Donut pinning down Tucker and Church as Caboose rides in with Shiela.
If Blinx ends up being the major character to bring this together, imagine how he'd handle Colt and Julianna being so flagrantly disrespectful of the flow of time. Or just the character interactions in general, like Raz feeling a weird bit of pity from the closed off, lonely vibes Chief gives off, Rash recognizing Arbiter and realizing that was a different guy, causing Thel to question just how experienced Rash would have to be to have fought an Arbiter before and survived, Cortana seeing Doomguy and joking that she's finally found someone who makes Chief look like a chatterbox in comparison, and the obligatory triple shot of Chief, Fenix and Doomguy
Since a major thing about the Doom Slayer is that he knows EXACTLY how rough he needs to be to get things done, I would say have his Glory Kill command grab change based on the general scale of violence in the opponent's home series. He still probably wouldn't rip people to shreds, but I imagine the scale would be something like:
Cartoony slapstick (Banjo, Raz, Ori, Minecraft, Blinx): Smashes them around cartoonishly, then tosses them into the ground for the KO.
Flashy but subtly brutal (Sea of Thieves, Killer Instinct characters, Halo characters, Rash, Sparrow, Joanna): Throws them to the ground, straddles them and punches their face in, final big punch gives the KO.
Bloody Mess (Deathloop, Gears, Dragonborn, Ryu, Vault Boy, other Doom Slayer ): Actively, audibly breaking limbs, then snaps their neck for the KO.
As for the Gravemind... I can see that being an arcade mode final boss. Imagine the stage taking place on High Charity, with the loading screen showing a very familiar pestilent green overtaking the graphics. When the game finally loads in, your character is wandering a twisted, fleshy corridor with Human, Elite and Brute Combat Forms... not attacking. Just guiding you to the final chamber. As they're made to get on an elevator, a series of tendrils assemble a makeshift, randomized arena. And then you hear a single, booming voice as a large, hideous THING emerges from the shadows. And of course, it has its own things to say;
"AGAIN, THE GATE HAS BEEN UNLATCHED, HEADSTONES PUSHED ASIDE. CORPSES SHIFT AND OFFER ROOM... A FATE YOU MUST ABIDE." - General purpose line.
"THIS ONE IS MACHINE AND NERVE, AND HAS ITS THOUGHTS CONCLUDED. TWISTED BY THE SHAPE OF WAR THROUGH WHICH IT'S BEEN EXTRUDED." - Vs Master Chief.
"THOUGH PIOUS THOUGHTS GAVE COMFORT ONCE, IT FINDS ITSELF SECLUDED. THIS ONE IS BUT FLESH AND FAITH AND IS ALL THE MORE DELUDED." - Vs Arbiter
Story wise I can see it being a final loose end to tie up. The initial time-space twisting that Blinx was investigating reached out into the timespan of Halo 3 and gave it a chance to lash things together by acting as a wedge in the door that keeps the portals from properly closing. And it has thematic ties to pretty much every character, even ones not from Halo. It's a creature that defies time and space like those Blinx fights, can come back from death as if nothing ever happened like Colt and Julianna, could easily be confused for a Daedric Prince or greater Demon, is an overwhelming physical force like the Locust or Lambent as well as a dangerously powerful psychic like Maligula, creates genetic abominations like the FE Virus, and it even speaks in rhyme and taunts you throughout the game like Gruntilda.
Aye Thorgi, please keep the cool dramatic intros for each character you’re saying you’re putting in the game. We love that part.
Arbiter in KI is the same guy from 2 and 3 and it’s based on his appearance in halo 5 guardians. Fun fact!
The only thing I would REALLY want added to this, like life or death i NEED it. Would be Shu from Blue Dragon. Just the fact that you used a clip from it for like 2 seconds made me so happy

Honestly I think the biggest missing characters are Big Daddy, a Dead Rising character, and the dude from Sunset Overdrive.
I also 100% think that even if the ActiBlizz merger doesn't go through they'd still push for an OW rep.
And if only you had waited a few days since we just got an awesome new protagonist. Maybe a supplemental video for another DLC season is in order
Unfortunately Insomniac owns Sunset Overdrive, meaning that Sony owns it so its pretty much impossible unless Xbox allows for Crash to be in Sony's nonexistent Playstation All Stars sequel
Happy that Clippy was remembered. And yeah Blinx would be awesome considering the little we have of time powers in platform fighters (like bayo's counter). Nine (10 if you count vault boy) people with "uses a gun" fighting styles on the base roseter as a moveset would require a LOT on the creativity of the design of this game xD

One of my favorite parts of this series is thorgi feeling the need to over-explain himself on literally the most obvious pick from a series (vault boy) but somehow deciding to make one of the echo fighters a character from a decently popular game that isn't being talked about any more
Loved the series thus far, and Microsoft probably has the one of the biggest roster of characters and IPs to choose from (of the remaining companies you haven’t done yet)
I mean, unless he does one for the next smash lol, but besides that Possibility...yeah (escpecially with the recent acquisitions)
I think Capcom could beat out most companies if they did a Smash clone or versus style game. They have so many great IPs to pull from, even if they don’t actively use many of them. I’d say they’re up there with Sega even.
Otherwise, Bandai-Namco could put together a decent roster. Not sure how many other gaming companies could pull something off on their own. Maybe Square and Konami, but they’re not at the same level.

Ender Dragon is probably one of the most obvious; It's the most Minecraft way to do a traditional RPG boss. (Not an insult in any way; Ender Dragon fight is good.) Could also do a Super Mutant Behemoth from the Fallout games since that is sort of meant to be a boss equivalent, a boss monster from Lost Odyssey, or one of Chai's friends from Hi-Fi Rush since you already had to fight them.

Idea for a final smash for the Ki characters. Have their final smash be their respective Ultra combos from 2013 reboot, but like the 2013 version of ultra combos, have the music that plays over it match the theme of the level. Imagine fulgores UC matching with the banjo music sounds.
real fun fact, since zenimax owns bethesda and id, they did actually thought at one point to add the dovakin to quake champions but the idea was sadly rejected

Another fun assist trophy could be 'Splosion/Miss 'Splosion Man. Just runs around the screen, blowing up to double jump around and cause more explosions. Heck, make one of the stages the labs, have scientists running around, a window showing the background with the occasional explosion or other easter egg running past.

How could you NOT add Samuel Hayden and/or VEGA as an unlockable announcer? Hayden could even have a special line for when the Icon of Sin stage is selected, saying "Final Sin. Hurry, the longer the Icon of Sin is on Earth, the stronger it becomes."
Also, does Destiny count as Microsoft franchise? It _is_ made by Bungie, after all, and Cayde-6 would be perfect for this!

I genuinely think either the endermen or the creeper would make an interesting fighter. Endermen would have teleportation based attacks, and creeper would be a glass cannon that deals high damage but inflicts self harm. Like a pichu strapped with dynamite
The creeper seems more of an assist character if you ask me. They’re pretty much Minecraft’s one-trick pony; they creep up on you, then explode, that’s it.

Actually wait. This gave me a hilarious idea for a Todd Howard Assist Trophy (or whatever the counterpart would be called)
When he appears the game itself starts to "bug out" as all characters suffer from random side effects with a chance to be either positive or negative or something completely harmless.
For example in a 4 player free for all, Player 1 could be clipping through the ground and thus must grab the ledge or stand on thinner platforms to survive, meanwhile Player 2 is stuck in airborne state and flies around but can only use attacks they can use in the air, and Player 3's character is lagging around and existing in multiple areas at once among other things probably, while finally Player 4 seems to be the only player who is unaffected other than just changing their skin to random one.
All the while as Todd Howard given a variety of different speeches to try and distract you from your suffering, all while a bar that says you're downloading a patch appears at the bottom of the screen and it shows how long these effects will be given to you before it's completed and Todd Howard leaves.

Surprised Yuri Lowell from Tales of Vesperia wasn't included. That game was probably the biggest JRPG hit on the 360 and while it did also come out on PS3, it was JP exclusive, not coming to the west till the definitive edition in 2019.
Even with the Xbox consoles not being as strongly played in Japan as in the west, surely adding a big name JRPG series would attract some eyes to this game plus a Tales rep is perfect for a platform fighter with the series' emphasis on comboing into special moves in a free-roaming area, with Yuri being the obvious pick not just cause he's the protag but he's one of the few Tales characters so popular he's banned from series character polls after winning so many.
Microsoft has completed its acquisition of Activision Blizzard as of today, so I think it would be a perfect time to add in another DLC based around these properties:

BLESS YOU FOR THE FABLE REP, and of 2 AND Jack of Blades?! Such absolutely wonderful taste, and as somebody who grew up as a kid playing my brother's Xbox with Fable, I really connected with your reasoning. Hell, Fable II is what made me fall in love with the Xbox 360 in the first place!
Considering this roster excluded ActiBlizz characters due to the buyout not happening yet, these were overall some great picks.
To quickly list off some characters form ActiBlizz that would’ve worked:
- Arthas is one of the most popular Warcraft villains & characters so him alongside any other important NPCs would make a lot of sense
- Crash & Spyro are very obvious picks for this kind of game especially since they’ve been requested for normal Smash Bros. for years
- Tracer is the obvious Overwatch pick but Genji & D. Va are are two characters that are as if it more popular so any combination of those three would work
- I also don’t know much about COD but I know enough to know Ghost is the most iconic protag so having him be the main fighter while like three other popular character serve as costumes makes sense.
I would include Kerrigan and Nova from StarCraft as well.

Ori would fit right in since they've been in Rivals of Aether. Size isn't much of an issue because Kirby and Olimar are pretty much the size of jelly beans. Also, I would love to see a fighting game for Transformers.

A character that would be an absolute treat to see, and would effectively be a massive wildcard, would be the protagonist from the cancelled xbox exclusive Scalebound. It was made by Platinum and he had a dragon sidekick, that's all I need to say really. Plus it would be great to see something from Scalebound actually make it to see the light of day.
I do think lost odyssey and blue dragon would be good inclusions but I am super impressed with the list you came up with. I want this Blizzard deal to go through specifically just for the roster boost for this hypothetical game lol

Honestly, I would have considered Vault Boy to be a weirder pick than Blinx. Personally, I would have gone with Cogsworth as the Fallout rep. It both leads you away from just humans with guns while also having the rep be one of the companions. Plus, he is the only companion that I, a person that has never actually played Fallout, have stick out in their memory so I imagine he is pretty popular. On the other hand, I have never played Fallout. So, what do I know?

About the same; At least put them in as Assist Trophies.
I feel like Blood Gulch would probably be a better stage pick than Valhalla. Blood Gulch is simple, but it's very iconic, plus it actually takes place on a Halo ring unlike Valhalla. You could maybe even throw in a RvB easter egg. I feel like Halo could also use an extra stage of some kind. I think a good pick would be High Charity from Halo 2, to show the Covenant side of the series more. Maybe you could even have it where, when match is almost over (either because of time, or it's a last stock situation) the Flood slowly start to take things over in the background, changing the tone of the stage drastically. As far as the character choice for DLC goes, Atriox is probably the best pick. He's probably the most liked villain of the 343-era, and he could be a good contrast compared to the other Halo characters, being a lot more focused on "unga-bunga me smash you with hammer", and less on zoning. The Didact could be a cool fighter moveset-wise, but he's not super well-liked by a good chunk of the fanbase. I'm kinda surprised you didn't think of making the Halo MP announcer unlockable for the menus or something. Jeff Steitzer's performance as the MP announcer is a pretty memorable and beloved part of the Halo series, to the point where fans complained when he wasn't in Halo Infinite's BTB mode at launch, and 343 eventually realized their mistake and added him in later on in a patch.
Outside of Halo, I was really hoping to see some sort of Phantom Dust representation on here. Yeah, it's a very niche game, but it's fanbase is super devoted, a lot of higher ups at MS have an immense amount of respect for it, to the point where some say it's the best game on the original Xbox, and a fighter/stage could provide stuff that nothing else in the game could. Alpha (one of many possible names for the player character) could either just have a huge arsenal of spells with tons of variety to them, or you could sorta reference the game's deckbuilding aspect, and make him a create-a-character, sorta like the Mii Fighters in Smash. As for the stage, Plaza is the most well known, and probably most-played map in the original game. You could even have some of the stage be destructible like in the original game. The music could be pretty wild too. It's remixes of classic music, but it's remixed in such a weird, yet amazing sounding way.
Love the series and always eager to see what happens. Honestly, I'd love to see you do a Build the Roster and several different games, including a video game I only recently discovered: D&D Iron and Blood. But in the meantime, fantastic work as always and I'm eager to rewatch this and the retrospectives.

As someone who has loved this game ever since I was a youngun, I would LOVE for Blinx to be a part of an Xbox Smash game! Seriously, he's perfect for the role! And there's so many things you could do with his moveset!!

I'm a simple man: I see Battletoads in a potential fighting game roster, I hit like.
Personally I would've liked if Zitz and Pimple were alts or echoes, but considering that their transformations and play styles are meant to be unique from each other I do think its better to just have them be summoned with some moves. Also, someone else said this, but Zitz is the leader of the Battletoads, Rash is more of the Michelangelo or Raphael (to compare it to the inspiration for the Battletoads) of the group.
This is a pretty good roster, I could definitely see them do something similar to this had a Microsoft platform fighter ever happened.

Hi. Great vid, fun time, I hope you reach your goals. But as a Halo fan with entirely too much free time, I think I need to set some records straight, because Chief is not a keepaway character.
While Halo is a shooter, the in-canon Chief is far from a long-range fighter. He wields the Mjolnir armor, which has a regeneratable shield, so naturally tanking fire while going in is trivial for him. Without the armor, he can deadlift 500kgs. With armor, 5 ton. This is even shown in gameplay, as he is able to flip tanks with ease. He is also able to run 106 kilometers an hour (likely more) and dodge bullets on reaction. His reaction time is further enhanced if he's linked with an AI. He is also highly proficient with every weapon and vehicle, so the Brute stable, the Gravity Hammer, and the UNSC ATV Mongoose could be used in his moveset as well.
Chief, by all accounts, is a superhuman brawler. He's Captain America but dressed in shield, with the guns mostly just being used to save him the time of physically moving over to every enemy he takes down.
And while I understand that Halo is a shooter, I think that's being ever so slightly reductive. Because Halo didn't take off for being a shooter, it took off for unifying complex actions into simple commands, on a game pad. Chief, unlike many FPS protagonists of his day, is never in "gun" mode. He's always running, jumping, shooting, throwing grenades, jumping into and off of vehicles and punching, smoothly utilizing every tool in the arsenal. A proper Halo representation, and a good frontcover character for XSmash, would include all of these qualities.
Now, I do like the idea of a UNSC fighter utilizing SMGs, battle riffles, snipers and shotguns, and that's where I'm gonna cheat and throw in one more character. Buck, from ODST. He's a Spartan now but nevermind that.
ODSTs, unlike the superhuman Spartans, are just regular dudes who have to be clever and cooperative to get the job done. Their main-gimmick is that they're sent in behind enemy lines in drop pods, hence the title Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. Buck was one of the central characters in Halo ODST, surrounded by a team of experts in various fields, like a sniper, gunner and explosives expert. Letting Romeo take sniper shots from off-screen, have Mikey run over the stage on a Mongoose and drop a bomb on the way, and Dutch drop in a pod to spread some lead, could give us the keepaway Halo character, while acknowledging a highly beloved spin-off game.
Sorry this got very long. I'm a big Xbox fan so it was great to see you tackle it, even if it is somewhat out of your wheelhouse. There were some genuinely inspired picks here. I think I'd probably drop Orchid for Hisako or ARIA, just for the KI representatives to have one foot in the past and one in the present, but I understand Orchids importance. And thanks for including Nuts and Bolts Banjo as a skin. You'll see me tearing up Xbox Live with that thing on, as the one fan of that game. Here's hoping something like this eventually comes out, alongside Perfect Dark and Fable.

That last bit with Clippy made me think of him being the inaudible default guy for menus (and we could just get a generic announcer for battles and character select) and you can unlock Cortana after Master Chief’s arcade mode.
Clippy would be more generic about how the menus work, Cortana would have a little more personality by suggestions for different modes, Mumbo Jumbo (complete with Banjo speak) would be make hilarious remarks about some modes, Ford can make similarly hilarious but unique remarks for variety with your comedy, and have the KI announcer be paired with ARIA for the menu help.
