Hey brother. Just subscribed. Just got a 23 RT and am debating between Whipple style or Procharger style / centrifugal. Question. Everyone keeps saying you won’t “feel” the procharger until you really get on it, opposed to the whipple you would feel all the time and immediately. How do you feel about this position? I like what I’ve read about centrifugal but I don’t want it to only be there when I “punch” the car. I want to at least feel it ya know. I get that it’s a linear pull and the more RpM the more response, but will I feel a good difference compared to stock? Thanks
@robertalsbury whipple will feel like a bigger engine. No delay. Procharger the car felt stock in your normal driving but power was there when I wanted it. You dont really need to get on it to feel the power. You can feel it at 3000 rpm and builds from there. It did not bother me at all but some dont like it. I liked the blow off valve. Made me happy.
@ thank you. So if I’m cruising at 75 on the highway at 1200-1600 RPM and need to do a lane change / get around someone and hit the gas, is it going to feel stock until it hits 3000 or will I feel the procharger respond? Sorry I’m just confused by this a bit. Expensive system no matter which one I choose but I don’t want a situation where I don’t notice more response in the vehicle after getting the procharger. Is it just that the full force of the power in the procharger comes later and some of it is there or is it that nothing is there until 3000 rpm. I’m asking because I rarely get the rpm that high when I’m normally driving. Hope that makes sense
@robertalsbury if you are cruising at 75 and need to pass as soon as the car downshifts the boost will be building. You will feel near instant power in that case but the power keeps building as rpm goes up. Ive done a few 60 to 100 pulls and it is quick.
D1 is an upgrade that people font want to shell out a little extra money for. It is worth it for future growth. A month about I ordered my kit the came out with the D1x. Had I paid more attention to the news I would have gone with that.

For the AWD there is no LSD option. I have heard of people taking the LSD out of a rwd charger and installing it but that takes some modification to make it fit. Stock gearing is 3.06 and I have not heard of anyone making a kit to change the gears because you would have to change out the front as well. Both of these mods can be done but will take some know how. More know how than I have for sure.
I race in high altitude 7200+ air da. 12.4 1/4 mile at 114 mph. Slightly slower than a stock hellcat at this altitude. My 0 to 60 is 3.6 seconds and about a 1.8 60 foot
@@venomhemi3914 stock 0 to 60 was 6.5 seconds (again high altitude) procharger alone dropped it to 4.8. Added a 3600 stall torque converter dropped to 3.9. Cam and water meth dropped to 3.6. Theres a ton of other mods in there too but those are the major ones. You can see my full mod list in an upcoming video or Marspeed did one on my car too you can watch now if you search for it on his channel
I ran cheap Achilles desert hawks and could still pull a 3.6 second 0 to 60 on surface streets. Get what fits your wallet, especially if you are not pushing over 600 hp to the wheels.
Dasllamas I was told about your channel by a coworker we both have the same car. I’m curious on the reliability if the tune was down to 400awhp and just the pro charger and injectors without all the other stuff installed. I’d love to be able to get some feedback as it has me considering doing the pro charger on stock internals now.
If you just do the basic procharger install it is reliable. Obviously ive upped the power via a custom tune but even when I was at 508 hp with just fuel pump and injectors it was safe. Main thing is watch your oil temperature. If you are over 200 degrees dont drive it hard. The 5.7 fails when the piston rings expand due to heat and chip the top of the piston. Just be responsible and you will be fine.
dasllamas super helpful thanks for your response. What was the correct fuel injectors and fuel pump to put in to handle that “responsible power”? Also thoughts on if it’s possible to swap to the SRT front end?
@@mattbrundieck6777 message me in instagram. I am quicker to reply there @dasllamas srt front end is a project I want to do and as far as i know it is a direct fit aside from some inside the wheel well stuff. I have fic 700 injectors and I forget the name of the fuel pump but it is rated at 600 lph
I renew in a few months. Ill deal with that when the time comes. Ive had a CEL on and off ranging from failing throttle body to failing o2 sensors. I've just fixed them as I went
I was about to say this vid was posted 2 years ago in NAZI Virginia we would get a rejected emissions for that engine light. I’m short 2k for that same kit I just hope I don’t end up failing emissions constantly lol.
Have you done anything to the drivetrain and transmission? I have a 5.7 awd as well but haven't done any performance mods because idk if either one can handle it
Drivetrain t case differential tranny ect are all stock. The tune I have on the car protects most of it. The throttle body will drop to 60% during a shift and timing for the clutch packs is adjusted even if i have the car at 100% i do lose a little in the 1/4 mile but the exchange is longevity. Drivetrain should be safe to mid 600 crank hp so I'm knocking on that door
I have a 15 r/t and want to procharge it I plan on running around 8 pounds people are saying even 10 is safe because the engine can take a beating. I was wondering all the parts you actually needed to put into it to make it work
I ran 7.5 psi for almost 2 years. Im at 8 psi now. I have water meth fic 650 injectors and i think its a 400 lph fuel pump. Just make sure you get a good tune on the car and you are good. Rule 1 Get an AFR wideband and dont run your car lean. Rule 2 dont bash on your car when it is hot out or if your coolant and oil temprature is over 200. The piston rings are the weak points
@@Yourprouddad you have to order the kit made for factory hid. They have 2 kits. Mine are factory hid so if you decide to go with this kit I have a video showing how to do the wiring.
Is that 600whp tested on a dyno at your altitude or is that Procharger’s claims? Because if it’s from the dyno shouldn’t a 600whp car measured at your altitude do the same 1/4 time as a 600whp car at sea level (lower than a 12.4, no disrespect I’m just curious)?
Good question. Its 600 awhp on a mustang dyno with altitude correction (its standard to report numbers with altitude correction) at sea level it is estimated to be a mid to high 11 second car. Somewhere in my recent uploads I have the dyno run showing these numbers. Not pulling them out of my butt i promise.
dasllamas oh okay that makes sense now. Dude bring your car over here to Atco in New Jersey (one of the lowest tracks in the US) and I swear you’ll run a 10.

Nice car! I'm in Colorado too and procharged as well. I just installed a meth kit on mine and I saw RPM is a snow performance dealer, do they carry meth at their shop?

There is quite a bit of modding that you need to do to make it fit. I did a video interview with a challenger that had it done. Let me see if I can find the video.
@@RealMoneyMakingRich hellcat offset is like 20mm. It will fit but stick way out. Tire size is 275/40r20 but will stick out a little bit on the stock rt rims. Im going to stay with 245/45r20
You need to have all 4 tires the same diameter/circumference. Staggering on awd is a bad idea because if you wear the rear faster than the front then you risk damaging the awd. Tolerance is about 2/32 difference. I used to know the correct size to do offset but just because you can doesn't mean you should.
I believe the only close match in front and rear circumference is 245/45r20 in the front and 275/40r20 in the rear. Gives a circumference of 90.1" front and 90" rear

Also with my custom tune the throttle response is tuned. Sure I can't adjust it but it is set where it needs to be. If I want the throttle to open faster Ill just jab the gas pedal faster. Some people like rt life and growls garage swear by it but it's a gimmick in my opinion.

Snow stage 2. Fairly basic setup. 800 for the kit when I did it not sure current cost. If you have a shop install and tune that will be extra.
what was your best et and mph with that procharger? thanks for any info, im thinking about buying one.
I race in high altitude 7200+ air da. 12.4 1/4 mile at 114 mph. Slightly slower than a stock hellcat at this altitude. My 0 to 60 is 3.6 seconds and about a 1.8 60 foot
@@dasllamas awesome, thanks for the reply, how much would you say the pro charger helped your old NA time?
@@venomhemi3914 stock 0 to 60 was 6.5 seconds (again high altitude) procharger alone dropped it to 4.8. Added a 3600 stall torque converter dropped to 3.9. Cam and water meth dropped to 3.6. You can see my full mod list in an upcoming video or Marspeed did one on my car too you can watch now if you search for it on his channel

What is the best tire /wheel combo for the Awd ?
Question : how did you fix the check light engine, and was renewing emissions a pain? Nice car.

Had problems with using hellcat injectors. Went to fic 650 no problems now been on the car for a while now.

So what’s the biggest tire we can run on all four being the same! Awd
275 I think? Good question for the awd mopar owners group on facebook
275 55 19? Also can u just buy hellcat rims and tires or Daytona stock and put them on?
@@RealMoneyMakingRich hellcat offset is like 20mm. It will fit but stick way out. Tire size is 275/40r20 but will stick out a little bit on the stock rt rims. Im going to stay with 245/45r20
Can we run 305s or 315s on our awd cars just in the back or will that not work of coarse we’ll need different rims also?!
Gives a circumference of 90.1" front and 90" rear
dasllamas I found those sizes in p zero Pirelli do u thinks it’s worthy he purchase and they will sit on my rim flush if I have 235 55 19 rite now rite

Have u ever used pedal commander on your awd what do think about it? Waste of money?!
Save your money don't but a pedal commander. 3600 stall torque converter costs $900 plus install that with that you actually get a better 0-60. Also with my custom tune the throttle response is tuned. Sure I can't adjust it but it is set where it needs to be. If I want the throttle to open faster Ill just jab the gas pedal faster.
