What I love the most about this channel is I not only get to see one of the most talented and versatile guitar players ever, I get to laugh my ass off as well. Thanks!

JESUS that's the neck pickup. That's it right there. That's the one.

I like this guitar player Greg. Period. He plugs in a Gibson 335 or SG and he's got my attention. He can even do it on a Les Paul. There is some magic happenin'' when it's a 60's or 70's Gibson. Some kind of mojo takes over. The front pickup...c'mon man. No volume, Fender amp on 3. It's all in the fingers. This guitar is special. I watch one of Greg's videos every morning. Or two...

I was trying to figure out why the historic les Pauls sound so different than the 1959 Custom that was on here a few days ago.
Listening to this, that 335 sound identical to that 1959 custom. Realized it’s the amp. He’s using that BF vibrolux again. Great video!

Awesome!! Now that you covered your western shirts video( which I kinda miss) looks like beanies are next? Lol! I remember hearing a vintage Es through cranked Fender amp and it was pure sonic bliss!! Incredible!!

I have a 1963 335 TDC which I bought in 1967 for $450 from a music shop in Auckland along with a Watkins Tape echo. I've had it refretted twice in its life. Original case etc. Pass it on to the Grand Kids.

Man those Gibson early patent sticker pickups sound amazing. They are identical to late era PAFS from 1961 and 62 . The only difference between a late Paf and an early patent number pickup is the sticker on the bottom. 1963 patent number pickups are as good as any late 50s paf and cab be had for much less money.

These vids are so hip! Wilwood and or Greg, are the guitar controls always turned all the way up (Vol/Tone) in these Vibrolux/BB vids? Or does it vary a lot? It’s never indicated with the other info and I’m curious. Thanks!

As amazing as this demo sounds- and it sounds amazing- I would kill to hear that guitar with the Vibrolux turned up more. Not dimed or anything, but turned up past 2.9 on the volume. Dirt pedals into a barely turned up amp is cool and all, but imo it’s nothing like a Fender amp turned up to 5 or so. Just to where if Greg digs in it breaks up a bit, but if he plays softly it’s pretty clean. But beggars can’t be choosey. 🤷‍♂️

True! The closest would have been the Epiphone Casino we saw him using starting in '66. Lennon had one, too (later sanded down to natural), as did McCartney, who still uses his. But then you likely already know this stuff. It was interesting that all three the same model. And that John and George got blue Strats.... Must have been contagious.
