I personally found the legs a little to complicated so what i did instead was 6sc into the magic circle And then i kept doing rows of sc until i reached my desired lenght. Once they were ling enough the to "close them" instead of single crochet like you did i sewed it. Then sewed them onto the body.(I did the same for the little ones as well). Other than that i really liked this tutorial and i love my spiders!!!!!! 💛
I added 2 eyes at the back of the head between rows 5 and 6 roughly in line with the points where the head attaches to the body to be a bit closer to the eye patter of a jumping spider. Wish I had 1mm safety eyes for the 2 super small eyes behind the second set xD Thanks for the tutorial and pattern
duuuuuude. You're so cool! I just got into crocheting this week! and i've been dying to try making stuff like this instead of scarves!! thank you thank you thank yoU!! :D
First amigurumi project I've ever finished ❤ it was an extra labor of love because I literally unraveled my yarn to get a single strand to crochet the eyes since I didn't have safety eyes or tapestry yarn 😬 I would love to be able to show you the finished product
Congrats on finishing your first piece!! And additional points for going the extra mile. If you'd like to share (and have an account), instagram, tiktok or tumblr are the best places.
I had to find this pattern once I saw these cuties in the background of your vids. The jumping spider is my favorite animal and I'm so excited to work one of these up!
I found a mistake in your description.... just wanted to let you know :) in round 8-9 of the body part you do 36sc and have a total of 30 stitches.. should be 36sc [36] anywaysss your pattern is cute, thank you for sharing!
For the legs: MC 4sc// 4sc// 1 inc, 3sc // 5sc // 1 inc, 4sc (at the last one change colors) // 24 sc consecutively// sc the sides together (all of this x8)
Brazilian jewel tarantula just screams cute spider plush... Not sure im up to making that color chart though! It would still be cute to try with this pattern I think
@@SkeinSpider Looking forward to it! Just waiting on my safety eyes to get here and I can finish my jumper. Sadly we don't have much in the way of craft stores where I am.
Wouldn't it be easier to make the legs and fangs first and crochet them in when you join the head&body? Would make this a very low sew since all that's left is the back patch to sew on. 🤔
Is there a written pattern by chance? Also, what size yarn is this? My 8 ply is a bulky yarn. Yours is nice and thin. Did I miss something? PLEASE HELP, THIS IS ADORABLE!!!!🧡🕸🧡
There isn't a written pattern at the moment and the yarn is 8ply, but you're 100% right. The brand of yarn I'm using in the vid has always been a lot thinner than the other 8ply's I have in my stash and I have no idea why (sorry, that probably wasn't very helpful lol).
@@SkeinSpider. Thank you so much. I have started one but cannot get the legs as I can't find the stitches. Lol. Is there a pattern for your bigger spider or is it basically the same, with larger hook and yarn? I love them.
I have started to make this spider for my son. 🫶🫶 I just need to say that the background music volume is to loud. It's really hard to hear what u say and to focus on the task.
Correction - Rnd 8-9 of the body should read: 36sc [36]

OMG I'm loving this. I'm super sizing it for my besties birthday. It will be the pet jumping spider of the gnome I've crocheted for her.
I made this with plushie, those legs. I used a stitch marker in every stitch until row 6
So darn cute, thank you! Your amazing!
This was a great spider!! It's my favorite project! Worth the time

I want to make that spider you have in your intro! That is so cute
I want to make one too! 😂
I will be working on a pattern for her at some point.

@SkeinSpider did you by chance make the pattern?
I'm going to be making so many of these, and putting them all over my house :3

I can't wait to make this for my daughter's birthday ❤
I hope she has a Happy Birthday!

Felicidades gracias por mostrar su talento
This is very cute! I adore it, and thank you!!
Would love to see how you made your giant jumping spider one day.

Thanks for pointing out my mistake. I'll put the correction in the pinned comment.
Great jumping spider. Great tutorial. Thank you 💙
I Love spiders and this jumping spider is amazing
I would love to see a eevee evolution or more squishmallow patterns 😊❤
Thanks! And I might have a thing or two in the works (nor promises as to when they'll be finished though...)

Just thinking about all those colour changes hurts my hands lol.
Can you make a regal jumping spider? The back pattern is a bit different or can you show how to make the pattern?
Im on my 3rd. I used bug yarn so they are bigger🥹
Are you going to do a tarantula? I'm working on this right now using colors of one of mine haha!
Yep, I'm actually working on my tarantula pattern atm.

Is the pattern for the large spider that is watching you available? Would love to make that for my kid.
Not at the moment.
I have no idea how to saw body and legs together

The fangs maybe, but l don't think joining as you go will work for the legs. Good luck if you try too

Everyone in the comments are just going to ignore the moving spider in the back?! 😅
