My guess would be the show side liner is slightly warped by tension of lock bar in system or/and bent on purpose to account for said tension.
Tension would also explain why you found it slightly harder to get last screws going in loosely, I find it helpful not to tighten any screws till all screws are in, harder on this one with scales hiding most crucial screws though so well done!

I've had my XL for nearly a month and I really love it. Of course, the general design / aesthetics of the Synapse might be my favorite of all time, so I'm a bit biased. That aside, there are very few negatives to this knife. I wasn't convinced that I'd appreciate the larger size, but after a day or so it simply felt normal to me. I don't have any issue with the clip either (people seem to be 50/50 on that one). The action is ridiculous, especially the middle finger flick. It's so good that somehow this is my most fidgetable knife. My biggest gripe is the factory edge angle. It's got to be somewhere in the 25-30 degree range (per side). As someone commented in the Vero Facebook group, "it cuts like a brick." I've been using the Synapse XL a ton as my EDC and I use it for everything; I've been tolerating the angle just to give it a fair shot, but it's definitely getting re-profiled to at least 20 degrees the next time I sharpen it. Curious to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for the info man. I love it too. And luckily am not a heavy user so the grind isn’t too big of a desl

I made it to the end. I like the mix of both table top and front facing, The longer videos work for me because I’m working from home so I can put it on and it do something else while it’s playing. I like finding TH-camrs that can just be more spontaneous and not reading directly from a script or that sound like a robot. But yeah I came because I’m a fellow lefty and stayed for the commentary, jokes and just being yourself. Keep it up!

I always back off screws until the threads kinda "click" to make 100% sure they're seated properly. I mean yeah... you should be able to feel if you're stripping threads but it's just a habit I've developed. So I straight up have a heart attack when I see people just toss the screw in and go ham, even more so when I hear "it's kinda a tight fit". And there's those quiet moments of them figuring out if it's fucked. Given me anxiety mate, and I'm a say you should get a magnetic mat/tray. I legit hang tools and bolts upside down on the hood of my car sometimes, seems like it would be nice here too.

With out a doubt the most long winded and pointless knife video I’ve seen.
“I’m gonna wing it and show off hanks”
    Fixed the title for you.
