Well PK used like stir the opposition up....and he did!
They were a rabble amongst themselves at this period as evidenced earlier in question time with NP and Libs at odds over tariffs.
So whether or not he asked further questions be placed on the notice paper as is usual procedure or not, this is tough bickies if he is not around to answer further questions.

Simon Crean's take down of Tim Fischer is excellent. IMO Keating needed more of this fire from his supporting cabinet through his PM reign. He was the enforcer as Treasurer so someone else needed to step up when he became leader. I'm not sure if anyone did, but Crean was impressive
Fischer was wrong, Keating did ask that further questions be placed on the notice paper but the Lib-Nats rabble were making too much noise

51:20 As brilliant a piece of infrastructure the Fisherman Islands line in Brisbane is it will eventually blow out to 83 million dollars and won't be completed until February 1997. The Sefton Park Junction to Carramar freight line wasn't completed until February 2013 and the Cabramatta Junction Renewal is only being done now and should have been completed in 1995. The retaining walls and earthworks were completed by November 1994 for the Cowan Bank Relief Line but the track was never laid for this 'One Nation' project and to my knowledge is yet to be completed. The Adelaide to Melbourne Standard Gauge line isolated many broad gauge lines in South Australia and Victoria resulting in a costly gauge conversion program creating a patchwork of individual rail systems in those respective states. It is fine if Deneliquin and Balranald are serviced by broad gauge Victorian trains as the Riverena Electricity Grid is backed up by Victorian Gippsland Brown Coal Fired Power Stations during times of shortages. That is the way it has been since well before the closure of Hazelwood, but overlapping services from different state governments would cause confusion.

There was a wool boom between February 1986 and September 1988. That is relevant if you think the early 1990s was a lackluster economic climate.

Where does money, cough, cough (currency) come from? Thin air more or less... The fact that the average person does no comprehend this, means that the majority of economic political debate is baseless and a waste of time. If a sovereign nation has the ability to create its own money (currency) then why does that same sovereign nation have to borrow and be in debt (continually)... Anyone, anyone? Bueller?
