The movie was pretty simple but enjoyable. A lot of scenes and the script were setup to show off stunt scenes, but I really didn't mind. I was unaware of the TV show so I didn't understand who the cameos in the mid credits were supposed to be. I appreciate that they showed some behind the scenes with the stunt people in the ending credits. I agree, felt more appreciation for the stunt people. A good popcorn movie.

I saw the Previews for Fall Guy.
They failed to grab my interest.
I just saw bland Comedy, making fun of a classic TV series I grew up watching.
Your review here, is the first I heard anyone say the characters names. Do it is Seavers. Ok. Jodi is supposed to Young young, mid 20s, 30 tops. Howdy, the Nephew again very Young College Business Grad looking to get into Stunt work and act as Seavers agent for better money.
But tha Stun Work isn't suppose to the Focus of the show. Seavers is Also a Bounty Hunter, and he track down bail jumpers...
How much Bounty Hunting are they doing vs Stunt Work gags ??
Or should I just Rewatch the Great Fall Guy TV series instead.

An absolutely mediocre movie that wastes a great cast and a great idea with a terrible script filled with more holes than a volleyball net and chock so full of exposition (and unending discussion of their love story) that you might as well be reading the Cliff's Notes of a rom-com by an autist with Tourette's. And the unevenness! My god! Whoever thought of pairing the "Against All Odds" karaoke with the action scene should never work in film again. Just so damned disappointing. I had really high hopes for this one. Must've watched the two trailers a hundred times. But if you've seen the trailers, you've seen the best parts of this movie. Wait for streaming.

I don't know... I think the movie wasn't meant to be taken seriously, and if you went in feeling that way, you would be disappointed. I thought the karaoke and the fight/chase scene being interwoven with each other was just silly, and I appreciated that this movie took some chances with some of the scenes and tried something different. Agree with you but I just expected a dumb entertaining popcorn movie and that's what it was.
