    Notice that Zydrunas never refers to himself as the ‘GOAT’ or the ‘strongest ever’ despite winning 10x more titles & breaking 10x as many records than anyone else. Eddie Hall, take note. This is a humble champion

Man Z is such a great guy since I’ve started following strongman he’s been my biggest inspiration in my training (more so powerlifting/bodybuilding), guys like Z, Shaw, Sigmusson, Shahlaei, are the reason I have the most respect for strongman over any other strength sport such humble and hardworking guys.

    When judging who is the greatest the criteria I would use is:
    1. overall titles
    2. overall records
    3. peak static numbers
    4. longevity
    5. cultural significance
    maybe i could create some kind of point system in excel based on these criteria and compare some of the top guys, however it would take ages and I suspect Big Z would have double the points of the nearest guy anyway.

    • @AA-tq7dm
      @AA-tq7dm 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@beardedbjorn5520 In terms of overall points and titles, Thor isnt the best. But in terms of competiting at the highest standard yet, he's one of the three greatest strongman of all time with Big Z and Brian Shaw. Also, in terms of absolute strength all round at his peak, there's an argument he's the strongest man to ever live. But I agree completely without a doubt that Big Z is the greatest strongman of all time. Even Thor said the same in his interview with Loz.

These guys show that it's never too late to get back at it if you do it right and get back at it at a high level...It's amazing how relevant they still are (Loz in his late 30's and especially Z being in his mid 40's and still being able to compete with the best)... Both of you guys deserve a much bigger following than many of the fools on social media with millions of followers...thank you.

    Traditional strongman competitions were about getting the strongest men and pitting them against different events to see who wins. Modern strongman is about professional athletes pushing the limits of human capability and breaking records to win the competition.

    I love Z mentioning Svend Karlsson as one of his greatest rivals. We all knew he'd mention the other 3 or 4 guys, but I think Svend seemed like a curveball even to Loz! Svend is one of the most underrated WSM winners in my opinion.

    Late to the party but you know who Big Z reminds me of? Alex Honnold. The humility, the sole focus, the discomfort when complimented... it's like uncanny.

    These interviews are fantastic - I watched this one earlier and currently watching Gary Taylor. Brilliant idea. Should get someone to interview Big Loz too if you haven’t already. It even inspires me to train. And I got two PBs. Well done to you!
