- When tick season comes around, its nice to not climb through the sticks and the tall grass and just fish a pond.. Not all the time, just once every couple weeks. Jor-Dan and I headed out in search of some largemouthed bass guys, and we literally caught everything else instead.. Including a fish I have DREAMED about catching my whole life. Even if it was from a measly stocked pond, I'm still EXTREMELY STOKED! PAAAA POWWWW!!!

There’s a little lake out in the middle of nowhere near where I live and it is full of huge northern pike. I normally buy cheap lures but one day I splurged on this giant silly 27.99$ musky lure. So we go out to this lake and I had heavy line with a 20#steel wire leader and my new expensive lure and I hooked a monster. Fought it a couple minutes and never seen it in the water then all of a sudden my leader snaps and it’s gone. A few seconds later about 20 feet away this giant of a pike erupts from the water and flings my expensive new lure through the air and then they both disappeared. My brother and I just sat there in disbelief 🤣

Awesome!!! I caught a 50 incher in the James river while fishing for smallie on 10 pound braid. Only landed her because she went up in a shallow feeder creek. Talk about pucker factor 1000
Tiger muskies are beautiful. That's a pretty damn good size too. I caught one when I was a teen here in Minnesota not thinking too much of it because northerns are pesky here, and thought it was just a northern until we got it all the way in. Haven't caught one since in 20 years although I don't really try to lol.
Caught my first ever mskie on last year fishing, I fished non stop for like 3 weeks only catching northerns. Literally spent hundreds with suckers and buck tails ect, then caught a 33 inch Muskie on a worm like 2 weeks later 😂

Fishing private ponds where there's no pressure those fish will hit a piece of bubblegum because they don't know any better. So its real easy to catch fish in a private pond.
