- Since the last kayak spillway flathead video reached 4,000 likes we're BACK, but this time with a net. You guys knew I was coming back anyway right?!? You had to of.. The first trip out targeting flatheads out of a kayak was some of the most fun, nerve racking fishing, I've done in a long time.. Probably since @anglerash and I did the pike stuff years back. Ever since the first trip out I haven't been able to stop thinking about it.. Never even took my kayak out of the truck. The trip didn't disappoint. PAAA POWWW!!!

I have the newest model of the Hobie outback mirage I got at the beginning of the year. It alone has made me love fishing again because bank fishing was getting stale. They allow you to access area that you weren’t able to before and you can also fish bank spots you’ve always wanted to I love it. I vote more kayak videos.

Love the videos man. When I first started watching fishing videos, I stuck with bass fishing, until I ran across your channel. You do the kind of things I do. Throw out a couple of rods on bottom, then cast around for whatever bites.

Try a circle hook on the livebait rod in the yak. As long as you're anchored up good and the rod is in a solid holder, it's a really high hookup percentage.

Kayak/Canoe Trollies are really handy and affordable, saves the bottom from scraping to much on rough terrain and easy to haul long distance loaded with gear. Mine has made a great difference! Great fishing as always, stay safe near those dams!

As a guy who targets catfish while kayaking you should get a crate to set your rods in behind your seat. Itll take a bit of chaos out of the catch.

Definitely more stable getting in and out of the kayak when it is parallel to the shore as opposed to perpendicular to the shore.

Told ya bro in a previous video you gotta get out on your local rivers on the kayak more . You will love it even more . Even the disasters are a lot of fun . Occasional flip or 2 no joke can even be a good time . All in learning how to maneuver through rapids . You will only get better and get infront of more fish that people don’t fish for much and find spots you never knew existed.
Got a 21 lb flat on a blade bait last week. It was around noon and it absolutely smoked it.
I live in SW Wisconsin and have tried throwing lures like you do and never catch chit. But with some live bait i catch tons of fish, just never any flats. Don't think I've caught more than 5 flat heads my whole life, and the biggest one I've caught has only been a couple of pounds. It's awesome to see you catch so many of em, love watching the vids. Hope you crush em this fall, and can't wait for some hard water fishing.
