I'm a bit disappointed that although Mileena gained the spotlight she deserves, it was at the expense of Kitana becoming a side character in her story. Like, I'm happy for Mileena, but why did they need to rob Kitana like that?
Kitana becomes the new General of Outworld following Shao's betrayal. In essence, she does have the spotlight for future military endeavors.
Kitana was always the main character in all the games, THIS IS A NEW TIMELINE. It’s about time the other characters get to be a main character, my lord.

I do like how they made Kitana and Mileena look like actual sisters this time around. For so many years they always made Kitana far more attractive and insanely beautiful but Mileena looked nothing alike her or their mother Sindel. They really tried hard to establish the family relationship and it showed big time. Kelly Hu did an amazing job as Sindel too btw

Bruh, she was only “main character” in MK11, in MKX she was non-existant in the story. In MK9 she was everything but a “main character”. The thing here is, they can always make subzero and scorpion shine in each game and give them each a chapter but they can never do the same for the female characters ever, especially the 2 most popular ones, Kitana and Mileena, why can’t they both shine? Why does it have to be at the expense of the other one being a side character or non existant???

It's true, actually the focus of this story was to see changes, and that wouldn't have happened if Kitana remained as empowered as before (not to mention that her arc of strength from before was formed from knowing the truth behind her life and of Edenia, which did not happen here). And, as Liu Kang decided to let the kingdoms form on their own without intervening in any way, I don't really see it as strange that Kitana has less prominence since she is a younger sister in this timeline

Im was super thrilled that Mileena finally got her time to shine. However, it was strange that Kitana didnt get a chapter, even though shes had one in every MK storymode. Its a shame that she was side line like this, almost as if they didn't need her in the story.
Actually, this happened more often people remember. Mk vs DC do not have a Kitana chapter, neither MKX. She only has in MK9 and MK11, which is a rare case because someone could though she owns more protagonist than other characters. Characters like Sonya or Jax have more chapters than her (Jax have one in every recent game, something that surprise me because no one thing deep down on it)

Kitana seems to have a crush on Liu Kang, but she pretends it. She is always look to his back and rejecting every man. In her intros, she seens to be very interested in Liu Kang's relationship and seems to be envy of Kitana who got marry whit him. Love is so complicated.

I do think Kitana deserved a chapter, would've been nice for them to expand upon how Kitana has been helping keep her sister's secret. Thankfully Kitana is still great in this story!

They shafted her horribly in this game - how can the one character who has fought so hard for the legacy of King Jerrod get nothing but a hug from him and he never utter a word to Kitana, NRS should be ashamed of how they nerfed one of the most central characters in their lore. She deserved so much better, but I really think they fear toxic Mileena fans...why can't they both be great, Kitana was way too passive...Titan Kitana was cool but we only got 7 minutes of her.
It's a shame that Kitana in the previous timeline was not the one who met Jerrod. She did everything for Shao, her supposed father, who lied to her her entire life and made her commit countless murders. She has no memories of her real father, so seeing Jerrod would be a very emotional moment.
There will be a story expansion. She will most likely have one in it

Nah according from the game info about edenians, they tend to age normally before they turn into a legally consent adult but once they are an adult they will age very slowly.
I've been told that Kitana has a chapter in the upcoming story expansion DLC and she gets a lot more screen time. We also get to see Chameleon actually matter storywise for the first time. The leak that's out there courtesy of the data mine is only partial data and incomplete.

I was really bummed that Kitana didn’t get a chapter when I first played so when I got to the last chapter and was prompted to choose my fighter I chose Kitana without hesitation. I loved seeing her and Liu Kang defeat the deadly alliance together.
Her and Mileena should switch places, tbh. Mileena seems better fit to be supreme commander, but too erractic to be empress.

I like this timeline because we get to see Mileena as a real person with a family. However both of them should have the title of Empress and ruled Outworld together. Titan Kitana kicks ass though.

When those intro clash dialogues say that "Kitana has eyes for another" (said by Tanya), I fail to see who she has her eyes for from the cinematics, to be honest with you.
Most likely liu Kang or raiden. She seems to respect raiden a lot. And even in the original timeline, she and liu Kang didn’t fall for each other immediately. It started with mutual respect and it grew into love.
Very tiny chance that it’s Johnny and she’s just too embarrassed to admit it.

Titan Kitana from the "real" previous timeline coming out and getting shine at end was really kool, but too bad we didn't get more of THAT Kitana. Only like 15-20 minutes of her, and way at the end of the story. Her taking out the Kombat Kids BY HERSELF was dope, and showed her power and badassness. Hopefully the next timeline will focus on TITAN Kitana, and not this new timeline one. Hopefully the whole next game will be focused on another timeline rather than this one. I love the game but I'm over the timeline lol. I hope Titan Kitana comes back. THAT'S MY *REAL* KITANA.

I'll say if everyone is scared. New timeline, new relationships! I want to see Johnny Cage and Kitana become a thing. They could even make a point of growth for Johnny to become more humble as they grow closer. Li Mei and either Raiden or Kung Lao
They already did that with Johnny when he and Sonya grew closer and they became parents. So much so that Johnny ended up being the better parent of the two even if Sonya had good reason to be away.
I would love for Kitana to be the Ambassadress of Outworld to other realms and MK1 to deal with different realms rather than the multiverse
