No way that is a Platinum 1, absolutely no chance. It's more than likely a Master player who's just begun an Akuma grind and maybe messed up his placement rankings while stoned or drunk.
The average Platinum 1's do not have that combo period.
@@HeathenKnuckle na bro that’s me I haven’t hit master with any character yet, as for the combo I just stay in the lab A LOT😂 it’s my most played mode in sf6, so far I’ve gotten akuma to plat 5 but I’m on my journey to hit master😁

That's impressive. I'm assuming your fundamentals need work, or you're having trouble with DI counters or something? Keep it up, I've never done that combo, and I'm nearly Master Akuma.

If you find players DI spamming, don't be afraid of grabbing them more than usual, and resort to using mainly light attacks so you can easily counter better. Avoid always buffering special moves when attacking rising opponents, as in Platinum wake-up DI is a regular thing. Defence isn't easy in SF6. If I'm cornered and under pressure, I tend to allocate brain power to two things first and foremost, to prioritise DI counter and jump in attacks while in block. It's really difficult to always counter when the DI is behind a normal attack even for top players, so I prepare for the red flash.
It won't always work every round, but percentage wise, it will improve your win ratio by a lot. I didn't bother with throw tec'ing much in Platinum ranks unless I was desperate. Platinum players love pressing buttons. Also, remember to try and stay in crouch block when dp'ing on defence, by quickly moving to down forward and back to crouch block, then to down forward and button just as they're landing on you in the invincible frames.
Just try and get used to flicking the controller quickly from crouch block > d-fwd > crouch block > d-fwd > hp/mp/lp. Small punch is sometimes preferable, as it's a quicker start up frames. Cross cut dp can only work in crouch block, too. Otherwise, you'll get clipped in the head, but you only need to move to d-fwd and back once the opponent has moved over you.
I wish I'd known these shortcuts before somebody explained to me, as the game tutorials certainly do not. Once you get into diamond, you'll know not to mash buttons or waste supers on your wake-up too much, as punish counter damage is high in this game.

i believe it’s because lariat is an anti air and tatsu is not, not to say that ken’s tatsu isn’t wack in its own right, they gotta tone down that corner carry

@@realchezboi Its normally an anti crossup tool as a balance that gief is sluggish so he can easy punish your jumps and keep you one route to the corner.
Though I guess the balance or trade off in this game is that drive rush system is readily available for even gief so he doesn't need to be sluggish and slow and in turn doesn't need the OP anti air that covers both sides.
I'm already bored with Bison to be honest, think he's been a disappointing rendition of the character.
Everyone who uses him does exactly the same sequence of moves. Because he's been overpicked this has amplified the problem.
Kimberley had the best combos in this particular vid. What I like is that her long combos at least reward you with representative damage. That's the only reason I haven't gone with Juri's, who's combos look good in Feng Shui Engine, but don't do nearly as much damage as they look like they should.
Juri doesn't seem worth the effort, she does less damage than Ryu or Ken with 3X the effort

@@Wael3rd I wanna be pro and I'm Masters and Akuma/Bision just get rewarded off everything. Yeah there is a good Juri player but it's mostly because his neutral is absurd. If he played Akuma He'd be way more successful due to his walk speed allowing him to weave in and out of danger more.
