I never understood the hatred for the “clashing” sprites that the roster has. Aside from Morrigan, all of the characters look perfect with each other. All of the SNK and newly added Capcom characters looks like they were made to match with the style of the SF Alpha-side of the cast, which is nice in my opinion.
I do not agree, the alpha sprites are too deformed, Balrog, Blanka and Sagat, for example, seem out of place in this game.
@@michelcarlini I never thought about how the Alpha sprites look bad. I think it could be the anime-esque designs and expressions, but for me, they look great. Like Sakura and Zangief mesh well with the other SNK characters.
It's nice to know that Chun Li has "Aku wa Yurusan!" pose.
also, Hon Fu making appearance is nice.
Some of them add really to make a little of character in the Fighter. It's something I found lacking in rrcent 3d games like Street Fighter 4.
Yuri vs Ryo is still my favorite.

I always thought when I was younger that Terry and Yamazaki's had something to do with Andy, Terry's brother. I thought Yamazaki killed him or beat him up badly.
He was a mini boss in ff3 and was trying to stop Terry from his mission
Iirc yamazaki says something like "Andi, better use this." When tossing the knife. The Joke being that Yamazaki cannot tell the Bogards apart... or simply DGAF. 😂

That being said, Capcom VS SNK 2 fixed Chun-Li’s battle sprite because this type of kung fu woman vibes, body standing straight and keeps the serious looking face, far lot better than Capcom VS SNK Pro’s

A shame that they didnt included the first Star Gladiator for a certain inappropriate character move and Power Stone will be obviously the overseas version with censored Rouge (her change form in the japanese version are uncensored, same as the illustration: boobas out)
Capcom are quite forthcoming about any changes or which versions are used, but you are probably right. Most games will have a Japanese option but it isnt out there for them to retouch those parts while working on background details.
I wonder how much of this is due to international rating standards even if there is obviously an internal spark to avoid trouble.

Aside from Mai, the Capcom vs. SNK era sure wasn't great at giving female fighters feminine poses in intros.
I get Maki (since she's more of a tomboy in general) but Chun-Li's intros are especially disappointing in that regard. Chun-Li's intros almost come off more spunky than feminine in this series.
