    "If you want to attract attractive people, you must be attractive. If you want to attract powerful people, you must be powerful. If you want to attract committed people, you must be committed. Instead of going to work on others, you go to work on yourself. If you can become, you can attract."

    • @phlintify
      @phlintify 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      So what ever happened to "opposites attract"?

    • @chrissierra3208
      @chrissierra3208 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      phlintify This isn't chemistry nor physics, wish it were that simple

    • @phlintify
      @phlintify 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I know. However isn't it implied - we should attract those that complement us ... hence opposite?

    • @chrissierra3208
      @chrissierra3208 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      phlintify You're asking the right questions. If you have developed your character enough to know who you are, then let's say you're like me, you enjoy math. So you will incorporate math in everything you do. When someone who enjoys math sees how far ahead you are in your passion, they will become inspired

      I love this thread, personally I think that opposites too attract. It's a well known fact that Einstein could have done some work that would have earned him another Nobel prize if he was highly proficient in Mathematics. Say there is a xyz mathematician who wanted to work on the same thing but lacked the necessary background in theoretical physics, if these two people were to meet, they could do some incredible work that would have benefited the entire humanity for centuries to come.
      The core idea is the same however, work on developing yourself to the point where someone else who has done the same would love to be in your company.

    Hey Pat, I have been following you since 2018, just started reading your next 5 moves for the second time and always lean on your for anything related to business/entrepreneurship. You have done more for me than you will ever know. I watched this video as I am currently building my business and trying to think about the key hires that I need to make to take the business to the next level. I have a friend who I have worked with on a previous venture and is a true believer in the business that I am building. However, he is active with other companies from a technology perspective and is asking fro more equity than I think is reasonable. I am not sure what to do and would really appreciate your guidance on this one. Thank you for everything PBD

    Is there a video related to this that shows how to do this as a new entrepreneur and a new startup? I understood everything in the video but I feel like this might be slightly Advanced compared to where I'm at. Maybe a better question is, starting from zero, how do you put together a team? Sourcing. Funding. New business planning with no profit yet?

    Point 12 got left out. I guess it'll be related to 11 where everyone is free to bring their ideas to the table without any fear. Teams that have an open mind towards ideas and respect the ideas of team members tend be more productive. That doesn't mean you shouldn't oppose or challenge other people's ideas though.
