50 old fart here. I used to listen to this album back in the days with my best friend Eric who recently passed away and it reminds me of him when I hear that. he would be so thrilled to hear this song. So here I am 6 foot 210 lbs man crying while watching a Sepultura video on my phone.

OK this is PURE OLD SKOOL 80s thrash reimagined. The style the guitars the sound the ethos - THIS is what it would have looked like to go to a thrash concert then BUT with the latest production values excellent cameras etc. This is a pure time machine. Thank you Max and team!

This new recorded sound are amazing and make justice to the song that was created along time ago

I'm pleasantly surprised by how Max sounds, he kills vocally. Definitely better than I expected, this will be a brutal re-recorded album. Iggor sounds like the original, Igor Amadeus Cavalera is also excellent on bass and Max is brutal and dark. A very pleasant surprise.💪🤘🤘

This new modern produced version of their first albums proves how amazing and ahead of their time Sepultura was back in the 1980s. If this was released today it would be revolutionary. Truly one of the greats.

@@omarrodriguez4237 Troops of Doom has been re-recorded in 2023's Morbid vision. The Troops of Doom version in "Schyzophrenia" was already a re-recorded version dating from 1990. So I don't think this track will be included... The 1987's original version of Schyzophrenia only had 9 songs.

Me lembro perfeitamente na época do auge deles, quando Metallica e Sepultura eram praticamente as maiores bandas da época. O Max elevou o Sepultura do 0 até o céu. O Andreas apenas não deixou a banda despencar. Manteve firme e foi bem sucedido ao conseguir fazer com o que o Sepultura ainda tivesse relevência no meio. Mas o Sepultura atual não é nem sombra do que já foi um dia. Pra nós fãs resta curtir lançamentos e remakes que ambas as bandas nos proporcionam.

I can't overstate how good the new recording sounds. Still has a tinge of the old sound but w the clarity of newer recordings. The mix is pretty much perfect imo.
That's Arthur Rizk for you. He did all Power Trip's records, and the last Kreator, Cro-Mags and Municipal Waste albums, among many others. He's becoming huge in the old school metal scene because he's really managed to find the perfect fusion between modern production clarity and the rawness of the old school. Nobody does it better, everyrhing he touches sounds like 1996 rising back up to kick your ass.

I don't like how they've remastered Beneath The Remains, the Hi-Hat druming parts were turned down and changed with another ones. Made that album sounded too weak comparing to the Original Album from 1989.

I'm glad I finally decided to click on one of these videos, these re-recordings sound fantastic! I'm a huge Thrash Metal fan and I love both old school and modern Thrash, the thing that sucks about listening to old school Thrash is that often times the audio quality is terrible due to the recording methods used at the time, so I really appreciate the Cavalera brothers re-recording these songs because everything is much clearer and more fresh sounding!

Cavaleras first pioneered the way for progressive death/thrash, then pioneered the way for groove metal, then pioneered the way for tribal metal, and now are pioneering the way for re-recording classic albums!
Schizophrenia wasn't prog death. That would be Atheist, Sadus, Obliveon They popularized groove, but didn't pioneer it. Exhorder already did it. There is no such thing as tribal metal. Its just Nu Metal with tribal influences. No they didn't pioneer re-recording of albums. It sounds like shit compared to the originals and a cash grab.
Hopefully they make the series complete and re record all 6 records from the Max Cavalera time. I pre ordered schizophrenia already. They have done a fantastic job. Thank you for the music.
Listen to the original version, then listen to this version -- yeah, wow! Its like Schizophrenia was always supposed to sound this way, but they were so young with meager audio equipment. As with Morbid Visions, this breathes new life into early Sepultura.
Fucking awesome! They played this song with an intro of Inquisition symphony in their last US tour. Schizophrenia is a total Deathrash masterpiece, the re-recording just gives the live sound of today, excellent!

@inagerli Max IS and has been an ELITE rhythm guitar player. Only a few other GREAT rhythm players can compare.... Mustaine and Hetfield are few others. Obviously Mustaine brings solos too.

I don't like how they've remastered Beneath The Remains, the Hi-Hat druming parts were turned down and changed with another ones. Made that album sounded too weak comparing to the Original Album from 1989.

I'm glad I finally decided to click on one of these videos, these re-recordings sound fantastic! I'm a huge Thrash Metal fan and I love both old school and modern Thrash, the thing that sucks about listening to old school Thrash is that often times the audio quality is terrible due to the recording methods used at the time, so I really appreciate the Cavalera brothers re-recording these songs because everything is much clearer and more fresh sounding!

They popularized groove, but didn't pioneer it. Exhorder already did it.

Listen to the original version, then listen to this version -- yeah, wow! Its like Schizophrenia was always supposed to sound this way, but they were so young with meager audio equipment. As with Morbid Visions, this breathes new life into early Sepultura.
This definitely takes me back to the glorious 90's thrash/death metal scene, Awesome!
