    Thats a pretty advanced module for a small kit, I dig it..

    I've got the same kit. I've had it less than 1 year and I've killed 2 kick pads. I took one apart and found a wire that is soldered to what looks like some kind of pressure pad had broken where it is soldered. I soldered myself and so far so good.

    I own a Titan 50 and bought the expansion pack a few months after I got it last summer. I really enjoy playing it. There is a local drum shop selling a barely used Titan 20 kit (missing the frame) for $80. I'm thinking I could take the dual zone 8" Tom to replace one of the single zone Toms on my Titan 50 and using splitters add two of the 10" cymbals from the Titan 20. The main issue I see is the Titan 20 has a hexagon frame instead of rectangular tubing on Titan 50 frame so I'm guessing I can't just slide the cymbals onto my Titan 50. I even thought if I get a headphone amp and mixer like you mentioned before that I might even be able to use the Titan 20 module on the side at the same time as using Titan 50 module. Then I could use one of the Titan packs to get more sounds and keep the ones from the Titan 20. I see just a 10" cymbal for the Titan 50 is $50 and the expansion pack is $80 so the $80 for the all the components of the Titan 20 seems like a good deal. Thoughts? Or would I better off just buying a Titan 70 module for $299 to replace my Titan 50 module?

      Rather than go through all of that, I’d either keep what you have, or sell it and save up a bit more to get a Roland TD-07kvx or TD-17kvx.

    Thank you for the videos. Question: when you adjust the volume levels of different drums on one kit, do those levels transfer when you switch to other kits and also do they stay the same when you turn the module on and off? I’m assuming the answer to the second question is yes, but you know, there are no stupid questions lol.

    • @demonicsweaters
      @demonicsweaters  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      adjustments are made to that kit only, and they should save when restarted.

    Are you able to add another cymbal if you use a splitter? It would make it where you just don’t have a rim shot? I know the Alesis Nitro Mesh has this option.

      I also would recommend using this kit with Steve Slate Drums through a VST!
      Steve Slate Drums works great with these and gives you all of the branded drums and sets you'd ever want, and basically makes any electric drum set a complete beast of a drum set!

    Seems nit picky, but if I heard right, you cannot plug a dual-zone cymbal into this? So if I want to strike the bell on the ride, I have to switch to a whole other cymbal?
    Regardless, I think I’ll pick this up over Black Friday this weekend. I’ve been recording music for 15 years now and I’m sick of paying drummers for sessions. This seems like a good kit to learn on that won’t limit me for a long time.

    • @demonicsweaters
      @demonicsweaters  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it's single zone cymbals. This is the case on the SD600, Alesis Nitro, Surge, Command as well.

    • @Neightlive
      @Neightlive ปีที่แล้ว

      If you just get the full Titan pack with the extra floor tom and symbol you can assign the other symbol to the ride bell. This isn't really ideal for playing but if you're recording something it should be fine

      @@sadcr1750 This is what I'm wondering. I just purchased a Titan 50 and a SD1200 2 zone cymbal to get the ride bell and am going to try to plug one zone into the cymbal input and the other to the tom input. I know very little about these kits so someone with more experience might indicate that this won't work, but at the very least, I have another cymbal for the bell.

    My titan 50 symbols sound very low and can hardly hear the high hat when I hit the pedal. Can I raise the volume of the symbols themselves in the module? The snare and toms so great, just the lack of sound coming from all the symbols. I have it hooked up to the Simmons drym amp.

Do you already have or could you make one that explains all the features of the app and just what they do. There are just so many things you can do to tune in your kit. So maybe a video like Simmons tuning for Dummies 101 😂 Explain each function, like pitch, velocity, pan etc. Thanx man.👍🏼

    I know ive been laying comments out through different videos of yours today so sorry if im spamming you’re notifications 😅 but i was just wondering, cant you play along to your own select music through the app? If not, its not a big deal. i have no issue hooking an extra cord up to an external device, but I thought that was a feature in the app? Also, if i get the sd600 can i connect it to this new version the app? If not then i might revert back to getting the titan 50 because all i see are horrible reviews for the previous app that was out

    The one issue with this kit in terms of moddability seems to be the rectangular rack. Almost all other E drum cymbal arms are designed for a cylindrical one, and simmons doesn't sell the rack clips/arms on their own so, I dont really see how I could add other cymbals without buying the $80 simmons expansion pack anyway for the clips alone. Do you have any insight on how I could get around that?
