    the fact it uses a propper sr25 gearbox, and not that crappy stuff vfc does with their versions makes it a hundred times better

    • @HappysAirsoft
      @HappysAirsoft  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's probably my favorite feature about it. It's so much more upgradable because of it. Plus it can get a better performance as a DMR due to the extra cylinder volume

      yup as it should be haha, i also wanna they make a scar h with a gearbox like that, but anyways is not that hard to fit a v2.5 on a scar h as it would be in a vfc 417 haha@@HappysAirsoft

      @carlosruizesparza3760 I feel like with the right tools and a little creativity, getting a v2.5 in a scar H wouldn't be too bad. But I agree, putting one in the VFC 417 would be a challenge. I almost want to get one to directly compare them and see if that actually would be possible.

      @carlosruizesparza3760 someone put a post on Facebook showing their VFC M110A1 (fancy 417) converted to take a V2.5 gearbox! It wasn't too hard he said, and it accepted the E&C 417 magazines!

    Good to see lesser brands branching out, sometimes I like to try out a platform by getting a cheap replica to mess with then deciding if I want to invest in a premium model.

      @QuattroSG I agree! It's nice when a more affordable brand makes a cool replica that's actually good. I had heard good things about E&C, and the photos of the gearbox looked promising so I went for this and it paid off!

    Just so you know, Guarder springs are labeled/messured from the factory with 0.25 BB, not 0.20 BB like other springs, so that means an SP140 shoots 140 m/s with 0.25, so it's really more like an M160.

    • @HappysAirsoft
      @HappysAirsoft  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've heard that as well. I've just never had it be officially confirmed from Guarder or a Guarder retailer. I've personally heard that it's only one level up. So SP140=M150. I did eventually throw in a different hop up unit, bucking, and barrel which boosted the muzzle energy to 2.3-2.35J with .40s. I downgraded to a heavily used M150 (it was in a DSG) and it went to 2.05-2.1ish Joules so I feel like a fresh M150 would be on par with that SP140. But hey who knows, what I've heard could still be wrong

    • @KAG2203
      @KAG2203 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@HappysAirsoft 140m/s with 0.25 BB is 155m/s with 0.20 BB, plus/minus a little depending on barrel length/bore and airseal.
      They are high qulity springs, among the best you can buy. Some techs don't have a clue how the are rated and complain about them shooting "hot", and having to cut some coils of or short stroke to bring the power down when istalling a SP130 and thinking they'll get around 410 FPS, in reality they installed a "DMR spring".
      I got 500 FPS with an SP130 on a 230mm 6.04 inner barrel, they are powerfull springs, as long as you know that they are great👍
      What other hop chamber did you try, was is the Maxx?

    • @HappysAirsoft
      @HappysAirsoft  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @KAG2203 yeah that's about right. I always forget that you gotta factor in the exponential part of the Joule equation when saying "400fps with a
      .25g bbs is equal to blah blah blah fps with a .20" it really gets wild at higher muzzle velocities with heavier weights if that makes sense. Like how 250fps with a .25g bb is only equivalent to 280fps with a .20
      But 400fps with a .25g bb is like 445-450fps with a .20g bb. But yeah I always knew the guarder SP series spring packed more punch and were really high quality. They're some of my favorite springs for sure! And for the hop up unit, I went with a Maxx. It doesn't have long enough uhhh how would you say... stabilizer fin things? The things on the side that extend into the outer barrel assembly to keep it locked into place and prevent rotation. However, when the mag is in, it locks it into place

    Finally good review, it would be great to use caliper and messure parts like inner barrel and nozzle to see if it's correct dimmension like on site, as you said, 6.04 or 6.02... when I mailed taiwangun they label me 6.02... Im waiting for this replica to come and I will hpa system, so for HPA users, nozzle lenght gives huge help (nozzle lenght from closed gearbox to tip of nozzle) but when it comes, I will add here if someone need... other than that, very good review ! 😊

    If you get this from Taiwan yet I'm pretty sure it does include the muzzle device but it's painted orange. Just put it in a bowl of paint thinner and it should dissolve it off. I do the same thing with anything that has painted threads. Imthe paint is so thin that I can scratch it off with my fingernails.

      @@HappysAirsoft That's just My experience from ordering from Taiwan gun. I ordered two guns from them. December Platinum MP5 and the aeroknox ax15. Both had orange mouse devices but they were metal and just had a very thin layer of paint on them. For Taiwan gun, they only painted the three lug, but they include the actual muzzle device in a separate bag and you can unscrew the muzzle device with your hands after removing a grubscrew. My guess is to I might not include is because you live May live in a state like New York or California. Utah which is a pro to a state and did not wrap tape around it

    Surly a new inner barrel bucking and nub with possibly a upgraded chamber would make this DMR ready?

    • @HappysAirsoft
      @HappysAirsoft  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I definitely think so! I swapped the motor, spring, barrel, bucking, nub, and chamber now and it's pretty much a DMR. It's not a super high quality DMR build but it can hop .40s no problem and send them pretty far out there!

    As a side note, I don't know of any ar patter rfles that are steel. They are typically aircraft grade aluminum but of course this is airsoft me a little lower grade. The only way to get that kind of external quality is to buy a PFC or GMP, but even then these have a better finish. Not better metal

    Nice review ? What upgrades did you do? I'm starting airsoft and i may consider this replica and play as DMR, however, i'm limited to max 2J. In stocks configuration, what's the max BB weight it can hop ? thanks*
    PS: during the chrono, diod you put the hop up to 0 ?

    • @HappysAirsoft
      @HappysAirsoft  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! As of right now, I got a few upgrades that are not shown in the video. I switched it up a few months after I made this. Currently I have an M140 spring, Maxx M4 hop up unit, maple leaf 75° macaron bucking, prometheus 6.03 × 509mm tightbore, flat hop nub, and an ASG ultimate 22tpa 22k motor. So far it's been a really cool DMR platform. If you skip to the stock chrono, it's right around 2J with .40g bbs. If I remember right, it can hop .36s with ease and even .40s. When I chrono tested it, I had the hop up on but I can't remember to what degree. I turned it all the way off and it hardly made a difference though.

      @stygiandesolator7424 I probably won't be able to since all the guns I review are my personal ones, or they belong to friends. If I can get my hands on one, I will! I think they share the same internals as the 417 and mine is over 500fps now. I put in a prometheus 6.03 × 509mm tightbore, M140 spring, ASG 22TPA motor, maple leaf 75° bucking, and a Maxx model product hop up unit and that's it! So far it's holding up well. For 600fps, you may need an M150-M170 spring, so that could require more upgrades, such as a new Gearbox shell, stronger gears, and maybe even a stronger piston.
