By now, most of Angelina's fans know the story behind this, but for anyone that is unaware of the context and importance of this performance: The video starts by saying that Angelina is there to honor a cause, and for that reason she performed this song with especial reverence to the honoree and her family. Narges Mohammadi is in prison for her fight against the oppression of women in Iran. She is currently on a hunger strike and refuses to appear in court at her own trial which she considers illegitimate. What is truly disturbing is that she was sentenced to a total of 31 years and 154 lashes. She is on trial again for the things she has been saying while in prison, including the speech she wrote for her children to read at this event. There are three things that make it particularly significant: Angelina is Norwegian and Norway is the home of the Nobel Peace Prize; her grandmother is Iranian; and Unchained Melody was written about a prisoner longing to be reunited with a loved one. It must be especially heart wrenching for Angelina, given her Iranian heritage and her empathy for the disadvantaged and downtrodden. It is even harder on Narges' husband and her two children, who are the same age as Angelina and received the award on behalf of their mother.
@@jimbinder7472 This video is an excerpt from what is now the equivalent of the official Nobel Prize concert (the last one in a concert hall took place in 2017). Since redesigning the concert after the COVID-related break (it is now a televised broadcast from a large studio belonging to NRK, Norway's national television network), the Nobel Committee has been trying to find artists with ties both to Norway (as the host country) and to the country of the laureate (this year Iran). But I also think it's no coincidence that the entire cast is female. These are the selected artists for 2023: #1 is Amanda Delara Nikman (born 1997 in Sweden), a Norwegian pop / R&B artist. Her parents emigrated from Iran to Sweden and moved to Lillehammer, Norway when Delara was 1yo. Delara released her debut single at the age of 19. In November 2018, she released the EP “Running Deep” and was nominated for the prestigious Spellemannprisen 2018 (Norwegian equivalent of the Grammys) in the category pop artist of the year for the EP and the single "Soldiers". Delara's lyrics often deal with political and social topics. Her debut single “Paper Paper” was about class differences, “New Generation” was about her mother's war experiences. The song “We don't run from anyone” was inspired by Saudi women who were driving before they were allowed to. #2 is Angelina Jordan Astar (born 2006 in Oslo, Norway), a Norwegian multi genre singer with deep roots in Jazz, Soul and R&B. She broke through in 2014 on the TV show “Norske talenter” where she sang cover versions of various classic jazz songs at the age of 8. Since then she has worked to raise money on behalf of environmental causes and children's charities around the world. Angelina Jordan has released multiple digital singles, three EPs (most recent: “Old Enough” in 2023), and one album called “It's Magic”. Angelina Jordan was born in Oslo, Norway, and has lived for extended periods both there and in Los Angeles. She also lived for a time in the Middle East. Her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar, is the daughter of Iranian painter and poet Mery Zamani who left Iran to study in Japan and later on moved to Norway. In 2014 Angelina Jordan had the honor to perform in front of the laureates at the Save the children’s Nobel Peace Prize Party. #3 is Mahsa Vahdat (born 1973 in Tehran, Iran), a singer and musician with a bachelor's degree from the Art University in Tehran. She has toured and performed in the West since 1995. Mahsa Vahdat's music style is contemporary expression inspired by old traditional and folk and regional music of Persia/Iran. In her music she also developed dialogue between other cultures in a high artistic quality and she got a huge response internationally. As women are not allowed to sing in public as a solo singer after 1979 Islamic Revolution, most of Mahsa Vahdat's albums were recorded outside Iran where she enjoys great fame with the Iranian diaspora and in world music circles. To get her work published, she works among others with Kirkelig Kulturverksted, a Norwegian record label. Mahsa also had the honor of performing at the official 2023 Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony the day before. #4 is chosen to represent Norway as host country to the Nobel peace prize through a typical but contemporary Norwegian piece. This year it is performed by Tine Thing Helseth, a Norwegian classical trumpeter, born 1987 in Oslo. She started playing the trumpet at the age of seven, and is considered today as one of the leading trumpet players of her generation. Tine won second prize at the Eurovision Young Musicians Competition and just a year later, at the age of 20, her debut album earned her the 2007 Spellemannprisen as Newcomer of the Year. In 2007 Tine had the honor to perform at the official Nobel Peace Prize Concert. As #5 the renowned Norwegian radio symphony orchestra KORK played “Knell”, an orchestral piece by Niloufar Nourbakhsh. Niloufar is a composer known for her contemporary classical compositions for piano, orchestra, chamber groups, voice, electronics, and mixed media. Born in Iran, she began her musical studies at the piano at the Sarang Institute of Music in Karaj, Iran. She won the 2nd prize of Iran's national piano biennale competition at the age of fifteen. She then left Iran for studying piano and composing abroad, first at the University of Oxford, England. She then moved to the US to get her bachelor's degree, receiving a B.A. from Goucher College, Maryland in 2014 and is now a doctoral student in composing at New York’s State University at Stony Brook. Niloufar is co-founder of the Iranian Female Composers Association.
I’ve been listening to “Unchained Melody” since 1955. Long before the Righteous Brothers covered it in 1965. The song was waiting for this moment and Angelina to come along. Written for a movie where a prisoner is longing for his wife… This is the real deal now. A real tragedy. Angelina is singing for the Nobel laureate. A women’s rights activist who is sitting in an Iranian prison facing 31 years of sentences. She hasn’t seen her family in 9 years. And, they’re sitting there in front of Angelina as she sings... Imagine the emotion… Angelina presents this song softly, delicately and respectfully. A completely different presentation than she did last September in Portsmouth. She could have easily sung the song and the ending with more power. But, she was delivering a message of loss and longing to loved ones who were right there with her. Absolutely the right artist, in the right place at the right moment.
This is so beautiful.... - it hurts! The tribute, the song, the arrangement, her dress and the VOICE(?) WOW... and the sad story of the winner and her family... as I said; it hurts and moves me... tears flowing...
The concert is a tribute to the 2023 winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, a woman pursuing women's rights in Iran, I believe, now in prison. This is her second time being asked to sing, the only singer ever asked twice. This was so heart touchingly beautiful, and the orchestra KORK, always a reunion for Angelina, was fantastic as they usually are. I'm not sure our ears can feel more love than this. Angelina was, and is, so gorgeous in every way imaginable and, I'm sure, in some ways yet to be imagined.
You have to put this performance in historical perspective. Of why they were all there in the first place, not to be entertained, but to hear a new/old song of defiance and conscience, against those that would deny basic human rights. I could not be more proud of Ms. Jordan's commitment to humanity. Rb
Thank you for your great reaction. This was an exceptional performance. Angelina elevated this song beyond a mere beautiful piece with high notes. The Norwegian Broadcasting Orchestra (KORK) lifted the entire setting to an extraordinary experience - this orchestra suits so well with Angelina. She truly made the song her own to suit the occasion.
She is the only singer to be asked to perform at the Nobel Prize concert twice! She sang at the one for Children back in 2014. The song orginally was written for a 1955 movie called Unchained, recorded by Al Hibbler, although he did not sing it in the movie which was about a man in prision & torned between trying to escape or & be on the run or serving out his time & going home to his wife & child. who he loved. Narges Mohammadi, is a woman imprisioned in Iran for the last 9 yrs. He twins(boy & girl) are now 17. Angelina chose that song for all those reasons & it becomes so much more touching.
Some have sung there as many as three times, but l believe Angie is the only one twice under the age of 18. I'm sure this will not be the last. The Prince of Norway loves her.
I’m an unashamed fan, it took me a while to connect with this song. I’m learning more about Angelina from fan comments and back story adding to my appreciation of Angelina. As for her performance wow as for your reaction wow
This is the KORK orchestra which she has worked with before. This is a tribute to an Iranian equal rights for women activist who was jailed, and still serving in jail in Iran, and Angelina’s grandmother is Iranian, and all the other artist that performed that night also had a connection to Iran, in celebration of the woman who won this years Nobel Peace Prize, her children were in attendance, I think they are living in France.
Hi Britt. Just for the record. She already sang at the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. She sang Armstrong's What a Wonderful world. To my knoledge she's the only one who did it twice. 👍
About the amaizing KORK orchestra (Norwegian TV orchestra). A part of this assemble who played Angelina’s Back to Black when she was 10 year, so yes, they know her very well.
OH!! Can you please give me the names of the songs she did with this specific orchestra??? The .only large one I remember is her recital when she sang SUMMERTIME. And i liked your comment, PEACE!!
This is one of the most prestigious awards known world wide Angelina's history on human rights made her the perfect enatainer for this ,great reaction and agreed Angelina looks beautiful
It will be the force of Ms. Jordan's persona and message, as well as her passion and dedication to her artistry, that will make Ms. Angelina Jordan's name synonymous with greatness. Rb
Great reaction! I was waiting for your reaction to this stunning performance by Angelina and you didn't disappoint! I'm sure I have seen every reaction to this unworldly, breathtaking performance and every single time it touches me so deeply and brings me to tears. We are all so very fortunate to witness the magic that is Angelina!❤❤
Hello Britt ! Thank you for this reaction, as nice as usual. It is always a pleasure to listen to Angelina Jordan, her range, her amazing deep register, and one of the sweetest voice I have ever heard. And your reactions are still so clever, sunny and full of empathy ! So, I hope you will react to another performances of Amira Willighagen in 2024. I am not an expert in opera. Not at all... And perhaps Amira has not the same level of vocal abilities as Angelina. But, when someone sings some opera arias just because he loves them, without performing in an Opera House or.taking part to a professional soprano contest, critics can be quite harsh. In the same time, opera is a closed world where competition is really harsh indeed. The best soprano can lose her.voice and must stop her carreer at any moment. Even Maria Callas was severely criticized. So, if you sing once in a huge production with André Rieu, or if you perform an aria using a microphone, you quit the game. Clearly, the rules were not especially made for Amira Willighagen. But I think these critics are rather unfair in her case. Indeed, opera does.not represent the entire music, Amira does not consider herself as a full opera singer. Some of her performances reveal the same level of stunning capabilities as Angelina's at the same age, and she showed she could sing without any microphone... But it will be definitely more difficult for Amira to be considered as a master in his craft, as you said about Angelina Jordan. And clearly Angelina has the highest degree of mastery ! Here are my two best proofs of Amira's talent, at the age of 11 and 18, just listen to it if you want. Sorry for taking so long...🙄 th-cam.com/video/n66udAMmCDM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0xKn7DY9hsUF0Dh- th-cam.com/video/c5MiyNTZKHY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UfO24xxNc9e0Ydgi
Brava ,Britt ,conosci il canto come pochi.Angelina colpisce le note con lievita ,come il rimbalzo sui cristalli.E ne viene fuori un suono celestiale che prende l'anima.Grande Angelina.Anche tu sei forte,Britt.
Happy new year Britt and thank you for the sweet reaction. Her ability to move those who listen to her is absolutely incredible. What a fascinating and intimate interpretation of this mythical song, absolutely suitable for the occasion of the tribute to Narges Mohammadi! I was moved to see and hear Angelina singing in such an incredibly mature and charming way, this wonderful version of a fantastic song and so appropriate to the occasion, 7 years after the last time, in the same studios and with some of the musicians who accompanied her as a child, when she took her first steps into her musical future. Here Angelina was simply fantastic and "unchained", a singer who has already sung on 2 different occasions at the Nobel Prizes and at just 17 years old.💛🧡❤
I want to wish you a wonderful 2024 you have said it perfectly she is a master the story of the song and the winner of the peace prize They share a similar story Angelina and the Orchestra made a beautiful tribute. Gracias mamá Britt 💖
This performance is absolutly highest level, angelinas voice is outstanding, also the orchestra and she is ONE LOVE with the musicians, a masterpiece for ever from our queen angelina 👑♥️🌹💫britt i love your reaction to what angelina does in this brilliant performance i mean the end , that ton 🎉😂❤
This is actually the second time Angelina has performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. The first time was in 2014 when she was 8 years old. Narges Mohammadi is actually a woman who is currently in a Iranian prison due to vocal opposition against the oppression of women. Her son and daughter were at the event to accept to the Nobel Prize on their mother's behalf....
After her presentation, Angelina went on Instagram and stated that she was “beyond privileged ” to be part of this concert. She went on to thank KORK and their administrator for “trusting” her in the “process” of making this incredible rendition of “Unchained Melody ”. While we ‘Angels’ sit back in amazement at Angelina’s performance, she understands that it was a team effort that created this special moment. In this day of Hollywood glitz and glamor it’s so refreshing to see this humble old school professional come along and acknowledge the organization and musicians who worked so hard with her to create this unique and special tribute… KORK was formed in 1946. They are a world class orchestra. Angelina performed twice with them when she was 10 years old. She sang what was perhaps her best rendition of “Summertime ”. And, she performed “Back to Black”. After listening to “Back to Black” in the mixing studio, she was very unhappy with some element of the performance. She very quietly and politely spoke to the director about her concerns. The orchestra went back, picked up their instruments and played the performance until this little 10 year old girl was satisfied that it presented properly. I remember being so impressed with the respect shown Angelina. Together Angelina and KORK are simply magic. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if, in the near future, she could sing with them and create an album. It would be spectacular. 👣👣💕
I love the way Ms. Jordan can transport us to the remembrances of the past, but let's not forget that this young living legend is a contemporary, a masterclass artist that is continuing to experiment with tune and technique to create a newness in music, that will dominate world music for decades to come. It will be Ms. Jordan's creativity in lyricism and musicality that will captivate the world in the coming years, to make her name shine along side the top tiers of legends pasted. Rb
This performance was viewed by millions live around the world. The Nobel Peace Prize ceremony is a huge event, quite an honour for Angelina to be invited to perform here.Happy New Year.

The last time someone young like this had sung for the NPP was when Angelina sung at the Noble when she was 8. Well i mean there might be others but this is the second time she has been asked to sing.

Hardly any 17 year old singers have sung for this event, though Angelina also sang for it in 2014 (when she was 8) for Malala Yousafzai (from Pakistan). The Taliban attempted to assassinate her because she spoke out for girls to be educated. She underwent numerous surgeries, was eventually evacuated to England for continuing medical care, and continued to speak out for the right of girls to education.. She is still doing that. If you haven't figured it out by now, the Nobel Peace Prize is a VERY BIG deal, and performing for it is as well.
Britt, you were right on about Angelina's admiration of Elvis Presley. It was his version of Unchained Melody that inspired her more than anyone else's. She mentioned that in the preface to her singing this song at her US debut concert in Portsmouth, NH in September. As far as who the Nobel Peace Prize recipient is and the reasons why Angelina chose this most appropriate song to sing, read some of the excellent explanations posted by AJ's angels. Always love your reactions to Angelina! You're one of the best.
@angelinajordana, uncanny talent not only in making songs her own, parallel or even superior to Elvis, but also in writing her songs, vocal resources beyond imaginable for many, who can ask for more?
Happy New Year Britt and the Angels. Thanks for reacting to this masterpiece performance by Angelina. Jung: "... the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being." The Barefoot Angel has kindled lights in many hearts for about a decade; for sure, she will be shining brighter in 2024 and beyond.
Few artists, relatively speaking, have been invited to perform once at this ceremony. This is Angelina’s second time being so honored. She’s the only artist in its history to be so honored. If she was going for the Greek goddess look, she absolutely nailed it. Otherworldly beauty in both voice and style. A perfect picture of grace, class, and elegance.
Angelina is not the only artist who has been invited more than once to perform at a Nobel Peace prize concert. Youssou N’Dour performed in 1997 and 2001. Solvguttene performed in 1996,1997,1998. Snead O’Connor performed in 1994,1997. There are several others who performed more than once. As dedicated Angelina’s fans, it is important that we verify our comments with reliable sources before posting them. Thank you
I just cannot imagine what the twin children of Nargis felt in the audience with her performance full of emotion and longing especially when she dropped the final love to sing bring you back to me. Their mother who was whipped and now is imprisoned on hunger strike and who they have not seen for so may years. This is the second time Angelina has performed at the Nobel ceremony. I believe the only person to do so ( thank you 103 who corrected me a few others singers have also.)
@@103mrg thank you for your correction. Grateful to people who have this level of in depth knowledge. I repeated what someone said but was concious I had not cross checked it that's why I said I believe. Not I know. Thank you again.
Angelina is unmatched today, and moving forward, she may be recognized as historically unmatched. In this piece, her voice, her tone, is an instrument in the orchestra, not above the orchestra - as some famous singers try to do - and her connection with the other musicians is simply amazing. Her voice is a violin.
This Norwegian Kork orchestra Angelina has collaborated with on several occasions, when Angelina was 10 years old with her rendition of Amie Winehouse ( Back To Black ) and also with Angelina rendition of (Summer Time) , this Nobel Prize performance is in Norway which is appropriate and so special to Angelina considering Angelina is in her home country, great reaction thanks !
Can you believe I once heard a reactor confidently say after listening to one song she doesnt have range but thats ok. She saves it till its needed. Never to show off. A true artist.
Over the years I have always loved this song. Roy Orbison and of course Elvis did great jobs with it.but it was the Righteous Brothers that made it a hit in 1965 the first time. I believe Angelina knocked it out of the park and what a great venue for her to do it at. I just recently read somewhere that Unchained Melody was a song that was written for a little known prison film in 1955 called " Unchained. The film was about a prisoner who was deciding whether to try to escape or serve out his full sentence because of his longing to rejoin his wife and family. Somehow the lyrics of the song really get to me now more than ever that I picture the original motivation for the song. As always Angelina makes you feel the emotion of a song better than anyone else.
Nice reaction from one of my favorite reactors, Britt! Another reactor thought she noticed a tear streak on AJ's face which I would not be at all surprised about. The jailed recipient's 17yo children had JUST talked about how they hadn't seen their mother in 9 YEARS. The daughter can't even remember her mom's voice. Just heartbreaking, and given AJ's huge heart that had to have impacted her.....and yet she still delivers this stunningly sublime and moving performance, flawlessly, breathtakingly.
Fabulous Reaction Britt hope you hdaa lovely Christmas and NewYear ,Angelina performed this song SoBeautifuly and Breathtaking such Class.Frances from Scotlandxx
To me this is the embodiment of Divine Grace in sound. My only analogy, would be, to the likes of Maria Callas, The stature, the elegance, the enrapturing beauty. We all are blessed with the privilege of witnessing this history of Ms. Jordan's transformative artistry. Rb
Angelina inspires me to do what I can to help make the world a better place, so I am asking angels and reactors to spread the story of Narges Mohammadi. Angelina was recorded here at the Nobel Peace prize tribute in Oslo Norway, elegantly honoring with song, the brave recipient, with peace and respect. She paid homage to Narges, who is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two twin children, who are 17, spoke on her behalf at this event. The more people who are aware, and call for change, the more hopeful that the leaders of Iran will set her free. Implementing acts of kindness to others is how Angelina always reminds us to live our lives. We ALL need to honor Angelina by following her lead. If more people provide this kind of love and kindness, we will all help make the world a better place. Peace and Love.
@@leebrn8588 I have it on good authority that the family and Ms. Jordan are well aware of the communities efforts to expand Ms. Jordan's name recognition and artistry, to the wider world audience. Those efforts continue, daily Rb
Only flawless. She's obviously entirely & thoroughly embedded into this song and her performance. Her depth of investment sure is impressive. Then there is her always stunning voice & majestic elegance. What a voice and beauty she is.
Yes, and this is her second time singing for a Nobel Prize Event, the first one, she was eight years old. A J , before she even reached 18 years old sang twice for this event.
As stated above, this reason comes from 1955 by a singer name Al Hibbler, who is blind, and I remember as an eight-year-old liking that song the way he sang it rather straight, but with a very, very good voice. then along came the righteous brothers, and Bobby Hatfield, singing unchained Melody, and after he got done singing it, he owned that song I saw him sing it live now Angelina comes along with this version, which isn’t the same as the righteous brothers, but is more emotional, and in its own way, she just sang it and beautifully. He sang it very close to the righteous brothers, but took it a little bit farther with her own style. She reminds me so much of Frank Sinatra, throwing in his or her own phrases that just made it sound so much better when he sang live and she sings live, she sings phenomenally with the orchestra.
Narges Mohammadi is a woman, a human rights advocate, and a freedom fighter. Her brave struggle for freedom of expression and the right of independence has come with tremendous personal costs. Altogether, the regime in Iran has arrested her 13 times, convicted her five times, and sentenced her to a total of 31 years in prison and 154 lashes. Narges Mohammadi is still in prison. Unchained melody is about a prisoner longing to be reunited with family. This performance was in Oslo at a tribute attended by Narges' young twin adult children.
Beautiful reaction Britt as always. Since the Righteous Brothers version of this song is probably the most popular and well known, many don’t realize that the song is originally from the 1955 prison film “Unchained”, 10 years before the Righteous Brothers cover. Others will detail the significance of the choice of this song for this event.
Hi Britt, She sang at the nobel peace prize concert back when she was 8 years old too, She sang what a wonderful World by Louis Armsrtong one of her Idols.
News flash. Just in. Angelina is having 2 back to back concerts at Westgate in VEGAS, on February 29, 2024. Her $500 meet and greet tickets sold out immediately according to reliable sources
Britt, FYI, Angelina is the only artist to have been invited twice to perform at this prestigious event. That, in and of itself, is testament to how Angelina is perceived by the Nobel Prize committee. They have said to the world that Angelina is so highly respected by them that she is their #1 preferred artist.
Bobby Hadfield's 'Gold Standard' performance of this song sets the standard for excellence in his rendition, with Angelina always, previously, staying 'spot on' with Bobby's 'live' performance on 'The Andy Williams Show' back in the 60's. Here, she applies her 'Jazz' roots and also slows it down so as to show total respect for Narges Mohammadi, a brave woman who is the 2023 recipient of 'The Nobel Peace Prize' and is languishing in an Iranian prison for simply trying to improve women's rights. As great as Bobby's song was, it doesn't permeate my inner being to the level of emotion laden penetration that this performance by Angelina did. I'm sure she was also affected by the fact that her beloved grandmother and life's mentor Mery Zamani is also Iranian and that fact served to inspire this immaculate performance as well.
The Nobel Prize is awarded every year in Oslo Norway incidentally Angelina's home town .It is given to exceptional people in several fields Medicine, various science's .The Nobel Peace Prize is for people who are fighting injustice and try to end conflicts around the world...
Great reaction, and Happy New Year, Britt! It's an amazing time we live in, with many great tracks to come from Angelina. She turns 18 on Jan 10, so I have the feeling this will be her year to break through around the world. You have to listen to her release of a couple months ago, Our Time. It's fire!
This performance from Angelina Jordan reaches approx. 350 million viewers worldwide. The Nobel Peace Prize is the largest award a person/organisation can receive, and is awarded in Oslo/Norway. 👌👌😊😊
This is simply not true. I'm thrilled when Angelina is given opportunities to show her abilities and i am one of her biggest fans. But we must be careful throwing around numbers. There is nothing to substantiate 300 million watched this tribute. This claim was also made for the FIFA awards but later was determined to be closer to 10 million total viewers, including streaming, which is still fantastic. We all want her to achieve the success she deserves but we should stick to facts. For context, the 2023 Superbowl had 115 million viewers. That would make this performance equal to 3 Superbowls.
@@ClifftheBigRedDoggy good points. Lets not forget that the superbowl is our mega event but soccer is pretty much the mega event for the other five continents and billions of fans. So the scale is reasonable although exaggerated.
@@osovagabundo1 There are many fans of Angelina working in media. They repeatedly confirm these rediculous exaggerations are simply not true. This doesn't help Angelina. The Apollo 11 Moon landing was 150 million. Can anyone believe this one hour TV tribute drew 350 million? We'd be thrilled with 3 million.
@@ClifftheBigRedDoggy The estimates were for households reached (350 million) not the number of viewers. But in terms of worldwide audiences, the Superbowl's peak was 124 million, whereas 1.5 billion people are estimated to have watched the World Cup final.
How many 17-year olds sing at Nobel Peace Prize events, you ask? Well, let's see .... Let's instead ask how many EIGHT-YEAR OLDS sing at Nobel Peace Prize events! At age 8 (same year she won NGT), she sang Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" at the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize. This makes her the ONLY artist to ever be invited to sing TWICE in the entire history of the Nobel Peace conferences!
The speech she wrote was actually read by her children the day before at the actual award ceremony, not at this tribute concert.
Well said thanks.....
Well said
Thanks for the explanation. I heard that also. I also heard that all the performers were Iranian. She is magnificent!

These are the selected artists for 2023:
#1 is Amanda Delara Nikman (born 1997 in Sweden), a Norwegian pop / R&B artist.
And....this is Live...ABSOLUTELY stunning
What a deeply touching and generously gentle and respectful performance this was.
She leveled up with this one! The way she becomes one with the orchestra...stunning!
Classy! That's the word that comes to mind when watching this performance.
She is just so good.
I was surprised that you remember that Al Hibbler was the first to make this song popular in the 50's. BTW He was blind.
@@raymoles Wow, just listened to Al. I thought Todd Duncan was the first to sing this...
Absolutely Beyond Perfection ❤️🔥
Ooh, I like your hair. Great reaction to a great performance. Thanks!
Beautiful, magical, timeless! 🤩👣🔥🧡🙌❣️
She’s the Queen. The most soulfull singer🙏🥂

***** This video is a masterpiece that I have watched more than 75 times. Every time I hear the KORK Orchestra begin playing, I feel a surge of emotion because I know what is coming next: the most amazing rendition of Unchained Melody by the incomparable Angelina Jordan. She has a voice of an angel and a talent beyond words.
Unchained Melody Nobel Peace Prize 2023 Some ask why Angelina Jordan would pick Unchained Melody for this event, Narges Mohammadi, the Iranian human rights activist who received the prestigious award remains in Iran. One of the most popular and enduring love songs of all time, Unchained Melody, has a surprising origin. It was composed for a 1955 film called Unchained, which tells the story of a man who is incarcerated for a crime he did not commit. He yearns to be free and reunite with his wife and children, who are waiting for him outside. The song captures his emotions of loneliness, hope and longing, and has been covered by many artists over the years, but none in my lifetime of 76 years have conveyed such emotion as Angelina Jordan did at this performance. © Larry D. Hi Britt, been away for a while and it is good to see your face. All the best for 2024 for you and yours.
Simply amazing as always.
Happy New year. Don't know how you do it but as soon as I see you I smile. So glad you are reacting to our Angel singing this song. It is lovely.
Sorry for taking so long...🙄

The image of Angelina in that gown is that of an angel with wings and a halo.
Loved your reaction Britt to this stunning performance. I think I have watched it 50 times and it still gives me goosebumps!
No, thank you! Happy new year 😊
This performance is absolutly highest level, angelinas voice is outstanding, also the orchestra and she is ONE LOVE with the musicians, a masterpiece for ever from our queen angelina 👑♥️🌹💫britt i love your reaction to what angelina does in this brilliant performance i mean the end , that ton 🎉😂❤
Thanks so much for the reaction to our angel Angelina..she’s simply the best..👍👏

Britt you are A Copicorn I too and Angelina too. So let selebret the Love 🔥❤️❤️❤️
@angelinajordana, uncanny talent not only in making songs her own, parallel or even superior to Elvis, but also in writing her songs, vocal resources beyond imaginable for many, who can ask for more?
Thanks for reacting to it Britt. I'm glad you enjoyed it, as always love your reaction.
Happy New Year Britt and the Angels. Thanks for reacting to this masterpiece performance by Angelina.

Please read the few comments below, explains so much. And Angelina has sung before at a MUCH younger age at the awards Rc

I beg to differ with you. It's a matter of opinion, rather than fact.
Her second time performing fot the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony. The first was "What a wonderful world" at 8 years old.🔥🇨🇦
Nice reaction from one of my favorite reactors, Britt!
Rb
She is so earnest, heartwarming in itself.
With this performance Ms. Jordan has solidify her position in the halls of all the great musical legends of musical history. Rb
I hope Angelina and her family will be reading these praises which she has earned that night.
I love your hair this way. Looking very beautiful today!
Great reaction. Happy New Year.
She sang it sooo well❤
Narges Mohammadi is a woman, a human rights advocate, and a freedom fighter.
As long as Angelina is partly of Iranian ancestry, her compassion to Narges Mohammadi's cause must be very strong.
Angelina is Music ❤❤❤❤❤
So great !!! Would LOVE to see a review of her new single "Our Time".
Indeed, a Master at her class showing how it is done.

Bobby Hadfield's 'Gold Standard' performance of this song sets the standard
for excellence in his rendition, with Angelina always, previously, staying 'spot on'
with Bobby's 'live' performance on 'The Andy Williams Show' back in the 60's. Here,
she applies her 'Jazz' roots and also slows it down so as to show total respect for
Narges Mohammadi, a brave woman who is the 2023 recipient of 'The Nobel Peace

rights. As great as Bobby's song was, it doesn't permeate my inner being to the level
of emotion laden penetration that this performance by Angelina did. I'm sure she was
also affected by the fact that her beloved grandmother and life's mentor Mery Zamani
is also Iranian and that fact served to inspire this immaculate performance as well.
Her Elvis Lip Curl....don't forget the Lip Curl.
I saw the Elvis "Lip Curl" on her upper lip about half way thru during that close up. Wow!
Great Reaction and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🎊👍🙏👣🌹
Happy holidays!😊
The Nobel Prize is awarded every year in Oslo Norway incidentally Angelina's home town .It is given to exceptional people in several fields Medicine, various science's .The Nobel Peace Prize is for people who are fighting injustice and try to end conflicts around the world...
The peace prize is awarded in Oslo. The other Nobel prizes in Stockholm, Sweden
Only the peace price is awarded in Norway. The others in Sweeden by the King of Sweeden

Angelica, emotional, personal meaning to the artist. What more can one say? Except that it is perfection.
Add to that another 300 million viewers from the soccer awards song that she sang.
****** Unchained Melody Nobel Peace Prize 2023 (the charity work of Angelina Jordan is only one of the many things that makes her so special.) Angelina Jordan's historical journey is captivating, as she showcases her talent at the age of17 with a voice that transcends time and space, Angelina Jordan mesmerized the world with her rendition of "Unchained Melody" at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in 2023. Accompanied by the KORK orchestra, the 17-year-old singer paid tribute to Narges Mohammadi, the Iranian human rights activist who received the prestigious award, and remains in Iran. Angelina Jordan's performance was a testament to her artistic maturity and versatility, as well as a promise of more musical wonders to come. © Larry D. Pifer
AJ covers the ELVIS rendition, as she has stated at the Sept. 22, 2023 Portsmouth, NH concert.
Loved it! Happy New Year Britt!!!
She has become a star. What a person to sing for the Nobel Peace Prize knowing what kind person she is.
