hey Dave there is a mod where you can give settlers power armour I think it is called movable power armour
Murkwater Construction Site would be a "nice" settlement for a maximum security prison where people really don't want to be sent...
Murkwater would be a cool settlement for a shanty town or water purifier bottling facility.

I’m currently working on a Fallout tabletop campaign for me and my friends and I’ve found myself going back to these videos for inspiration on lore. Dave is definitely going to end up a higher-up in one of the factions.
I rewatched the sanctuary tour earlier today and the episodes after that, you can kinda see the madness with power grow after each episode

It really bugs me when people blame sony. They aren't the ones who promised mods for their system. Plus, Bethesda said that Sony didn't want mods the way Bethesda did, so it could be that Bethesda had unrealistic demands and expectations, so Sony decided to cut off, but Bethesda decided to slander them first.
sony has stated that they didn't want mods because they thought that everyone was going to make mods that turn all the in game females to naked "dead or alive" girls, obviously they weren't listening when bethesda said they would filter the mods
The minutemen should add the USS Constitution to the Minuteman Naval Forces (find a mod for a buildable USS Constitution)

I love the Minutemen faction so much! It's the only faction that feels like you're making a moral difference in the Commonwealth, the Railroad have a good cause but they seem to put synths before the actual people trying to survive against raiders, super mutants, ect. And it's the only moral faction that you get to lead. It's also really awesome to fight against the Brotherhood of Steel with the Minutemen. It can be a metaphor to the Revolutionary War where rag tag militia citizen soldiers fight against a superpower controlled by a tyrant.
Except that George III did not fully control Britain nor was he a tyrant. :P

Is it possible to make any of your settlement builds available for download?
Should be now, with the release of transfer settlements it lets you export your settlements into blueprints which anyone can import into their own game.

I feel like many years after the inevitable fall of General Dave's reign, The Minutemen of the future will look back on General Dave as the 'False Prophet'. The man who was supposed to bring the Minutemen back to their former glory and restore the old ideals: *"Protect the people at a minuets notice"*. He was supposed to get rid of all the infighting within the ranks and all the power struggles within it's leaders. Sadly General Dave traded Freedom of his people for Power. Fort Independence was build by the British in the 1600s under no name it was simply referred to as "The Castle". They renamed it to fort william (or something can't remember exact name) and then the Americans took it over in the revelutionary war. Was renamed to fort independence and played a big role in the war of 1812, it inspired Francis Scott Key to write 'The Star Spangled Banner'. Wasn't built in 1864 bro.
Fucking impressive. You're one of the only person I've seen who does these settlement videos and actually show off things that took tonnes of creativity and thought to make. Not to mention effort.

I think that's an awesome idea! I can just imagine the recruits shooting dummies and doing reps of push ups.
Maybe sunshine tidings co-op ,the big ware house could be the dormitory and the cabins could act as officers quarters. Not to mention lots of space to add the shooting range and obstacle course, just an idea.

This video actually inspired me to really get into making fancy settlements on vanilla and without dlc because I don’t have them
General Dave’s minutemen would be a very interesting faction in another game they are pretty clearly like authoritarian and stuff but then they are still doing overwhelming good for the commonwealth so is it okay to let the propaganda and sutch stay and risk it becoming a dictatorship? Or destroy them and restore freedom but also get rid of al the resources

Love these builds man, I made a couple of mega builds myself but now that mods are finally available on Xbox, you inspired me to start a new character and really change the wasteland with some realistic settlements! Can't wait to see what you do next, would love to see what you do with places like Hangman's Alley or even some more Pleasure Island style, non-General Dave sanctioned builds!

Preston gets a lot of hate from some players, but I've got a grudging respect for him(Though this playthrough I never rescued his group as he annoys me).
He conned all of us that played that we were the big boss of the minute men, yet he makes all the decisions and orders us about from Sanctuary whilst we are the ones risking life and limb liberating his settlements for him. He's a clever guy. Just aswell he was using his charisma perks for good and not evil.

You are probably the best settlement builder of all time
Your settlers can actually use power armor. I found this out at RedRocket when two radscorpions jumped out of the ground close to the middle of the settlement, at which point two of my settlers jumped into some spare suits of power armor I had laying around.
And thus I eternally hate Trashcan Carla for stealing my power armour.

the barracks shutters could be for blocking out light for the night crew for a little more immersion. the likely hood of using a barracks as a hold out would be pretty slim.
Seeing this makes me wish you helped design the sim settlements city plans. Can’t believe those settlers are still living in junk. Amazing work! :)

I really want to see General Dave trick out a small area like Oberland Station or Jamaica Plain.
5% people, 15% bricks and stone, 2% turrets, 3% Guard station, 50% posters. The rest is food.

You should give the minuteman on guard at the top of that watchtower a sniper or combat rifle with a long barrel since he's watching the huge lines of sight areas :)
So castle and sanctuary becomes fortresses and there are: back up home, farms, water productions, military boot camp, watchtower, vault, hotel and extra sanctuaries. If Dave went to play minecraft we would be watching vids for decades
