What a helpful strawberry demo! I have questioned the proper way to do the seeds a few times, and when I have tried, 😂I’ve not been really pleased with my results. I enjoyed watching each step of your method,you nailed it ! Thanks for all your great tutorials!

The strawberries looked good enough to eat! Really enjoyed watching you paint them. Never known anyone to actually use scarlet lake in a painting before but the colour helped produce vivid looking strawberries. The handheld ice-cream 🍦 loved the painted nails 💅 and Facebook group, talented bunch of people and paintings! Great stuff, as usual!

I like the sketchy look with both of them. I never really thought about using pastels with my watercolors, but the strawberries looked really good this way. 🙂

Love your tutorials! On the first painting though, I thought I would warm up the two large berries with a glaze of orange before adding the details, and I would soften the right edge of the green berry. Fun subjects! 👍🏼

Unfortunately, strawberry season is coming to an end now as I've been told by my local farmer (I am lucky to live in an area with strawberry farms in every village so I get them fresh from the field 😊). Love the painting of strawberries… my favorite fruit. It made me look up a painting that caught my attention at Mauritshuis in The Hague by a fairly unknown artist Adriaen Coorte Still life with wild strawberries. It looks like he also used white paint to make tiny highlights. Wild strawberries… fraise de bois… they taste even better.

I tried strawberries as an early project. It would be good to have another go using the many tips I have picked up since then and see the difference. The final white highlights did make a big difference on your painting, something I will try to get better at, thanks for all your help Paul.

this week I managed to get myself very sick and in the hospital , but I’m up and watching ! I’m in for a few more days , and I don’t have access to my paints, or donation ,it’s killing me to have to wait this one out!
