- The cat, Ghost, is feeling embarrassed today for his misbehavior in the last video. Today, Nanny has a chat with him to elicit an apology. An unexpected Trip To The Thrift Store Turns out to be “A Winner” and Nanny shares her loot! You will also want to make this quick, easy and delicious recipe and learn from a few of Nanny’s mistakes. Mary Ellen “Retired”veterinarian here -that is normal cat behavior between a tomcat and a neutered male.causing bite wounds abscess and nasty viruses to either. This is very stressful behavior for Shamu - and could make him be the one to wander away
Easiest way if you have a pet carrier or a wire kennel you might get Ghost convinced to go in after food
is to use a live animal trap and set food for Ghost in it - make sure Shamu is not the you catch. You will only get one chance with the live trap so Be Ready!!
My rabbit hole story. The toughest preventative medicine issue in practice was spaying and neutering pets. Remember Bob Barker ? His closing game show line was “spay/neuter your pets
I suggested that to a proud male tomcat owner after treating his cat for wounds several times. His response “why, that would be like backing him into an airplane propeller!!!”

Last thing.. I had 2 male cats (introduced later in their lives). After neutering they became such love bugs. Ghost is trying to dominate. You just do this for him and for all the surrounding female cats! You don’t want him bringing you some children!😱😳 Get help.. you don’t need scratches and injuries yourself. My mom had cat scratch fever and it was no joke.

Your mantle decor looks great! I also think it is imperative to have Ghost neutered. His temperament will improve and he will not be a nuisance to neighbour’s cats producing unwanted kittens. Next time In stead of using cupcake pan roll dough out thin and placed in 4” tart pan with removable bottom. No top. They turn out beautiful!

LOL. Ghost needs an attitude adjustment.The pies looked so delicious I was beginning to feel hungry. I can remember buying tarts of various kinds which had a top on them about the size of a 50c piece. Just decorative, I guess. Yours are lovely.

Oh nannie how sweet you are to address the issue with Ghost. Out of the kindness of your heart you’ve loved and cared for him, but sometimes things just don’t work out if you have another cat in the same vicinity, he sees Shamoo as a treat to his food and territory, we have a cat in our neighbourhood that a kind family took in and he terrorises the other cats. Is it possible for your daughter to adopt him and keep him in her part of the area by feeding him there…. Just a thought. Otherwise contact a veterinary practice and see if they can advise you how to get him in a carrier and take him to be neutered.
The easy easy chicken pies looked good and moose was still full the next day…bless him.

We've same situation with our Kitty. We've been feeding a stray and been unable to find an owner. She'd been sleeping in my greenhouse, now in the sunroom but the two ladies have not hit it off.We've taken her to our vet and discovered she had already been fixed. Don't get to stressed over Ghosts behavior, after all he was abandoned snd left to his own devices. Its always a good thing to Spay and Neuter our pets because it does make them better companions. My male was like Ghost and didn't want me holding him so I just kind of forced myself on him every time he got close. I would stroke his dide all the way to the end of his tail and now he comes near me on purpose for the free rub. I can hold him now as well but not long term 🐈⬛🥰

We are never going to get animals to think like people. We can learn to think like animals and understand why they do what they do… when we understand we can modify behavior (usually ours 🤪😘).

Love your fall mantel. The little house is so sweet. The doorway curtain looks like matlesse, so pretty. The first hint of Fall in my part of KY is the smell of tobacco being fired. A short drive in the country and you will smell it. The dogwood trees here have a little color on them and temps are cooler. Pot pies are perfect for this time of year. Hope Moose continues to feel bettet.
My mom's family is from KY, my grandpa grew tobacco & my grandma worked at the redryer- I know that smell well!

When I make Chicken pot pies I like to use the Cream of Chicken with herbs. Very tasty.
I like to use a package of frozen peas and carrots rather then a can, “hate mushy peas,” then throw in a few of the little frozen pearl onions.
If you have leftover biscuit dough go ahead and bake them. Next morning scramble some eggs in the
Microwave, split the biscuits, butter them and make a biscuit sandwich with the scrambled eggs. Easy breakfast.

You can get one of those humane traps. Does not hurt the cat at all and you could catch him and carry it with him in it to the vet. You might need some help with that
If Ghost is left to roam, you must have him neutered. He is fathering thousands of kittens.

You made me think of my sister and me saying mirror mirror on the wall I am my mother after all. Lol I can just see my mom grinning about that now. I make a chicken pot pie using the can of cream of chicken soup the peas and carrots but I use a box of pillsbury pie crust. I just line my pie pan with one crust and pour my soup peas and carrots and chicken mix into pie crust add the top crust and bake at 425 till crust is golden and mixture bubbly hot. We love it! I’ll also open a can of cranberry sauce to serve on the side. Great fast meal. You’re so sweet going in the stray cat. You have more patience than I do with the jealousy. Lol Your fall decorating is so pretty. I’m like you with more is more and I love it. Really enjoy sharing your talents with us.

Love the idea for the mini chicken pot pies. Got me to thinking about using the same idea for making mini fruit pies. I have the Dash mini pie maker to use so I don’t use the large oven for a couple dishes. ❤ the ideas.

Dear Nanny and Moose, my mother and father died within 5 months of each other, my mother first. Though they’ve been gone many years now, I miss them every day. I’m 78 (as of yesterday). The older I get, the more I recognize characteristics of each of them in me. It’s comforting to me. Also, each year around my birthday, I find myself getting nostalgic about Fall. I love this season here in Georgia with the colored leaves, hearing the acorns falling on the roof and the nip in the air. Love you both.

Loved this video! -I will make some fall decorations this year, to celebrate this wonder called changing seasons! Ghost can not help following his instincts, hormones making trouble for him..
And getting jealous doesn't help either. If things get really problematic, maybe Shamu will reconsider going indoors. He may not need to wander around so much at twelve years old. Or a fenced in area on the side of the house with an entrance to the house.

Loved the dinner idea, I will definitely be trying that one, thanks! I meant to mention, when you did the cooking demo in last one, I noticed you recorded then added the dialogue over it later. That looked easier on you, and you didn't have to talk while you were cooking so no volume issues. (Although I heard you fine today)

I was going to ask you in the your last video with the kitties if Ghost is neutered. I would say defintely have him fixed so he is hopefully less "aggressive" toward Shamu and not driven by hormones as most unneutered cat are. Plus, he won't impregnate stray female cats. A lot of people do TNR (trap, neuter, release) with feral cats so you don't have to worry that he is more of a feral. I love clips of the kitties in your videos....they are both gorgeous!!! I enjoy your videos, how you include a little bit of everything that is going on in your life. I also love how you decorated for autumn! Oh yes, Rachael….we went through ocean Grove all the time on our way to AsburyvPark….outlying on rainy days when we would go on the amusements…great memories of my whole childhood and years until we were married and moved to Ft. Knox…❤️

I think.......no matter what Ghost should be neutered... so he doesn't father any more kittens AND theres a chance it may alter his behavior.. The only other alternative i see is rehoming him.... I'm not sure since they are both males if it will change his attitude toward Shamu but i think neutering is worth the chance if you are set on keeping both of them..

Hello Nanny and Moosie....love your married life. Ghost has taken over, little bully. See if there is a catch and release program in your area and see if they can help you, as for the mini pies, great idea. Love your fall atmosphere. You have inspired me. No dishwasher and it's just you two. I do the same. And in reality leaving your dishes in a automatic dishwasher clean or dirty is the same. Just out of sight. Lately I've been upset with my husband. I wash them after each use. I would rather not be upset. I don't have a dishwasher. Love how your getting all these wonderful ideas for the future. Your rocking! Love yall!
