Yup! I liked your review too! More like a salesman but that's AOK. So I have a great Gravely dealer 6 miles from home. I have read good and bad about different brands 🤪! So you and It's His Turf came across nice and clear. You did a short demo AND told me that my 3 acres should take near 1 hour! I am sure a 72" would be even less but the space requirement throws another twist into the equation. I like standing better than sitting. I have a John Deere 108 and Cub Cadet 1529. I like quick and maneuverable. At 65, I may go back in business with this little beast. I am 130 lbs so it will be even easier on the lawn. Thanks for your pointers!

That's a very nice feature on putting that stand on component up and use as a walk behind in Missouri we have hills! Very very useful handy indeed!

Don't take this the wrong way because I'm a huge Gravely fan and I actually own a 2017 460 with the Yamaha 33hp EFI engine..However why is Gravely putting a FS engine and just 3100 Hydros on a commercial unit..it just makes it kinda seem like "barely commercial"...I mean I can kinda understand the small Hydros but that engine should be a FX..js
IMO..If it doesn't have the Donaldson Air Filtration System..it ain't commercial..js

Well hello y’all, I have used the John Deere 36 “ stand on mower and I preferred it over a sit down mower . It’s very agile and to get trash it’s a breeze vs trying to use the stick and a bucket .
Ya showed how it may tip over on a hill but if ya run the mower at an angle and then do a reverser turn you’ll reduce the chance of tipping over . She did well even in very tall grass .
They aren’t as fast as a 60” rider but they are a beast .
I’m looking at Gravely & Wright as I own 2 Gravely and a ole school 60” Great Dane stand on mower.
For the guys with the issue of getting into the back gates & are hampered by a smaller gate , so sell your customer a landscape bid to widen the gate if possible .
Doesn’t hurt to try .

2) You could have shown how it mows with 1 or 2 passes. It's easy to see that you (like me) love cutting grass!

Brought my 36 pro-stance 3 years ago, won't change it out for any 36" mower out there. The issue you will have is the hydro tension spring sucks, i changed it out with a smaller trampoline spring and a gator belt and have had no issues since. Hands down great mower with amazing cut

seems replacing OEM springs with other non-OEM springs is quite common in this industry

On the 36 inch I would like to see the commercial air filters like the larger mowers have
Best review by far for this mower , I love how gravely paid such close attention to the ease of maintenance etc ...my question is do u have thoughts or opinions on mulching kits ... put a chute blocker on for tight areas but feel it needs to mulch now ...would appreciate any info on this
Thank you David! I am in the Midwest (Wisconsin), I don't think you will ever see any of my machines with a mulching kit. The grass grows to much in one week. I see a lot of guys down south with mulch kits. It really depends on your area. I have a chute blocker on my Pro-Stance 52. It really helps to keep grass out of mulch beds. You can also close it to mulch leaves in the fall. The only with a chute blocker on the smaller mowers like a 36 is that it will add a little bit of width to the machine which may affect which gates you can fit it through!
Think the reason for the smaller tank on the 36 is that the deck weight is lighter so they have to keep it balanced with 6gal.

I believe there are bolts down below that move part of the frame. You can always call up your local dealer and they can tell you

I agree.. In this order - Suspension foot platform, FX engine and Factory chute blocker.. (could probably live without Factory chute blocker).. No suspension foot platform is a possible deal breaker for me. Need that.. Comfort is a must have!! I thought this mower already had a Suspension foot platform..

Can the larger (9 gal.) fuel tank of the 52" PS be retro-fitted to the 36" PS?
Not that I know of, but I guess anything is possible 😁

You can change the height of it in seconds
I need a couple shirts so I can represent gravely when I'm out working.I've asked my rep and she said she was gonna get me some but I have not received any yet, that was a year ago.

Looks good mower to drive but what’s better scag nor Wright stander or toro stand on mower??
It comes down to preference and what works best for you
I almost bought a Wright stander 4 years ago, but the dealer network absolutely sucked, and asking questions in MY area (western PA) resulted in the dealer looking in the sales fliers hanging on the wall! Didn't even know there was such a thing as a Gravely Pro Stance, but started calling dealers in the area, and the Gravely dealer went out of his way to get me a demo, WHILE I was mowing a huge lawn in the area! It now has almost a thousand hours on it, and the only break downs I've had was the PTO clutch bearing went bad, and a starter connection corroded enough it wouldn't start one morning! Still has the original belt on it! Mines a 52" with the Kaw 690 on it. It's top of the line!
How well does it drive up ramps into a pickup truck, compared to a garden tractor?
A pick up truck may be a little steep depending on the angle of the ramp. There is more rear weight when standing on it. But it is easy enough to load and unload off a trailer with no issues
They do the flap that way so it will fit through gates
I understand, but I have a Pro-Stance 52 and the flap just folds up. This one you have to unscrew and flip around. Something that should be changed for future models. Thanks for watching!
Do they make a bagger for the 48 pro stance? I found some fir the 52 but can't find one for the 48 except for the accelerator and they're pricey. Could I just use a bagger for a 52?
I believe they do, I haven't seen one in person. I would think that the 52 bagger would fit on the 48. I would double check with your dealer before ordering to be sure. Thank you for watching!

I don’t know why they didn’t make the shoot foldable I don’t understand also the gas tank should be bigger and if it throws the weight off at a weight bar in the front
36 probably has smaller tank because of smaller footprint. It would be easier to flip than the 52 . Add taller tank makes it more top heavy

I would like see gravely make a 32 on this same frame same engine and all of that just a smaller cut size. We do smaller lawns we has a wright hydro 32 everyone hates this mower. We have this gravely but cannot do any of the back yards with it at all. Everyone loves the gravely but when doing the back yard they now just grab a 21 inch snapper mower because the wright mow just sucks so bad.
I agree, I would love too see a 32 for the really small gates. That's what I could really use for some of my yards.
JC'sLawnTips We have a wright 32 hydro wish we never would have bought it.just too many problems with the wright . We have an very old gravely 34 belt drive ran it for 16 years with no problems until the engine said Im tired and it was over. But were buying a new engine for it because it has been very good for us. We just got the gravely 36 pro stance and waiting to see if they come up with a 32 if so mark it sold .

The wright stander intensity is the best mower ever...on a gravely your standing behind the wheels instead of between them like all the wrights.... on a wright stander the belts last longer because the motor goes up and down with deck.Make sure you demo a Wright stander before one of the imitators
No doubt Wright makes a good mower. Standing behind the machine isn't a bad thing. If you put the two side by side they are the same length, with the platform folded up. The Wright may feel shorter because you are standing in closer. My Pro-stance has 500 hours on it and I have never had to replace a belt. Gravely has their CBT. Constant belt tensioning system, keeping the belts tensioned at all times. 👍
Love my 36 gravely. But the chute design...

Does the machine suffer if I mow with it at less than full throttle?
I would definitely recommend mowing at full throttle because otherwise you will slow down the speed of the blades (tip speed). Which might not cut as well

he was referring to the 52 model while making that comment because the 52 has the deflector on a hinge instead of bolted in which makes more sense.

Did I miss everything about maintenance ,grease ,fluid change ?
Oil is to be changed after the first 10 or 25 hours. Then every hundred hours or annually. The only grease points on this mower are on the caster wheels themselves (the rim). The caster forks have sealed bearings which do not require greasing. The hydro fluid should be changed after the first 75 hours then every 400 hours. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching.

No need for a bigger gas tank, especially since it gets off the ground so easily .
I don't understand why would anyone buy a stand on mower instead of a zero turn. In the end your standing on it vs sitting on a mower for hours.. Fatigue anyone? And the price difference isn't too much either.
vegass04 I have both, if I could only have one it would be a stander. Here’s why, they are so much easier to hop on and off of to pick up trash and debris. You have better visibility because you can see around the entire machine. We also can put a back pack blower on and blow off long driveways with out having to walk them. Price wise standers used to be cheaper, they still are a little bit. But they have gone up in price due to the high demand. As far as fatigue I haven’t had any issues if I’m being completely honest. Some will say “it’s because your young.” Now that may be true but I know several guys that are older in this industry that run standers also. They are surprisingly comfortable. If you’re cutting open fields all day get a zero turn. If you do a lot of houses and cut some commercial properties definitely demo one and see what you think 👍🏼. Thank you for watching!

you didn't even say anything about how difficult or easy to sharpen blades,one of the most important things when you have to sharpen every day,I take it ,its a major pain in the ass,

I have mowed with one and it definitely won't cut grass at 8 mph
It might depend on your area too. It will cut at 8mph, but it might not be a clean cut if its tall thick grass 👍

Down south there are a lot of tight yards with gates so the guys down there love them. A lot of people just want to eliminate a push mower for the gated yards.
