I'm glad a 32" stand on has been produced for 2019 !! Only downside, it looks like it has a fixed deck

I own a Vantage and this design looks much better. The cutouts are just cool looking. The Vantage does very well on hills with the gas tank in the middle and the engine and deck connected. If the center of gravity is improved as claimed with the engine now not connected to the deck then it's time to trade up.
I bet it doesn't even have a gas gauge on it

if you want a 72 inch deck buy a Wright Stander..and also Wright Stander was the original designer of these mowers but since their patent expired exmark ripped it off from them..Wright Stander has a 72 inch and you can also order them with dual drive tires for extra stability and traction
The name Staris sounds like a Disney production movie.
Looks like the controls are too low and have to lean forward a lot more than the Vantage. The comfort and operator space was the big plus for the Vantage compared to it's rivals. Seems like a step in the wrong direction but I'll hold judgement until I can try it for real.

Why aren't there rollers on the deck?
Take rollers off right away on mine. They use floating decks, the wheels hold the deck up off the ground. Rollers never touch the ground anyway.

1 0f tha Watchmen, Staris S series 52 weighs 990lbs travels 8mph. Radius X series 52 weighs 957lbs, travels 9mph. Staying at the same price point riders are faster and lighter. You were saying?
Lmao my cheetah is faster. Couldnt care less about lighter except for when its soggy from rain and even those are going to sink.
@@kylefitzherbert9381 I was simply responding to the other guy who said standers are faster and lighter. IMO anything over 10 mph is a sales gimmick. I cut multi millions dollar homes, I'm not racing the guy the yard over. You hit a hole or need to stop at 18mph on grass and somethings going to break. Cheers.

Looks like a nightmare for mechanics to work on...
Actually it's not bad. Mechanically speaking, it's much easier to work on than the Vantage. The mower deck has much better access than before . Pump belt can be replaced in about a minute. Getting under the blower housing (coils, intake manifold etc.) is a little more challenging, but the engine can be removed out the front of the chassis if needed. Time will tell if it holds up, but I give it pretty good marks so far.

@@stevenmshawzy how long have you had it? how many hrs do you have on it? I've been hearing some bad things about this mower. after I bought one haven't taken delivery yet due to recalls
@@spencergaudet9196 A few recalls. I had them all fixed. So far so good. I added a light kit and anti scalp rollers. No more problems as yet. Has a great cut. I have a 52 laser as well but wanted a stand up mower too as a back up. I switch off.

No Hustler is a better mower for the money. I would get a Hustler Trimstar 48 inch walk behind with a Kage Wheel Kaddy sulky all for $5600.00. Great cut much better looking too. Check out Hustlers, but that's just me.

Only made it 3 years before being replaced by a more conventional machine. Can't say that some of us didn't see that coming.
That's one ugly looking machine....the ventage look very nice.
Why is the handle platform so low?! Almost every person in this video is trying not to bend over. Fix this and add max power to the engine options.
The adjustment pin for the deck is the same as the Ferris SRS Z1. LOL Is just a copy from everyone else. LOL

This machine is going to by between 9k to 10 k thats going to be a lot of money just to cut grass if thats going to be the price i may it well go with the Bredley mower i can buy a nice 54 stand on mower with 4k with a Kawasaki engine
Mustang shelby clearly you aren’t cutting that much grass if “9k” is too much for you to spend on a lawn mower. Have fun with that Bradley though, I’m sure you will enjoy all the downtime when it’s not working anymore since they aren’t reliable.
ah isn't that nice exmark copied someone elses patent b/c it expired..typical of a company that is falling into despair ..by the way exmark didn't create anything it was a design by Wright Standers..notice the ad says preferred 2 to 1 on zero turns but says nothing at all about how they are doing in the stander market?..because right now they don't even have a rating in the stander market
@@joker432 I am cutting a lot of grass we do 250 house a week plus all the extra work i have no problem spending money on this machine is about saving money if you make money it doesn't mean you should spend it because a company thinks that is a good price and just you know i have used and I'm still using exmark lawn mower to this day if you check Bradley's mower that company uses the same parts as every big company uses the only difference is they put there name on the frame because they built it .
They even put Kawasaki engine on it
You get what you pay for, Purchased my stander x 2 in February and I only mow 45 accounts weekly. Paid $9200 and have the piece of mind backed by a great dealer and great company. Your just cheap. 250 accounts you say but what type? Pretty sure Monthly I bring in more with my 50 accounts. Fact

Knowing exmark this unit is going to cost 20-30% more than it really should. And it's ugly as hell. What were they thinking on this one? I guess they really didn't care too much since they know all the exmark fanboys will line up to buy one.

They didn't design anything. They copied Wright standers like everyone else did because they lost their patent so now everyone copies. The patent was for where operator stood. Now they act like they came up with it.

I guess everyone is coping everybody. But I want to know the price. Is it better or the same. Because if it is the same then I’ll look into the warranty.
Spindles and wires don't make a mower, they add to it. Where you stand is everything on a stander, that's why everyone is changing their standers to match Wright because scag and exmark standers suck.
Dan Crawford ok here we scag was the first to make the hydraulic walk behind to hear everyone bitching about that being copied no its what makes the industry better do your research on who has help the industry the most by what they have came up with

Saw it and demoed it at the GIE+EXPO. Extremely ugly machine. How did it pass so many top brass engineers and think it looked good? Anyhow, We run exmark machines and exmark genuinely is a top leader in our industry for R&D. Low center of gravity, engine placement etc was well done and on the right track but if you're taller than 5'5 it's very uncomfortable to operate-hunched over to controls. We have 8 Exmark lazers, turf tracers, and radius mowers and have 1 gravely stand on unit and a new ferris stand on unit. Speaking from a position of 10 years running exmark machines they are great machine and we love them but the team of management i took down to the expo with me (9 in total) all of us had a hard time getting over how hideous looking the machine is but gave it a shot out in the demo arena and i will not buy this machine. We bought a brand new Vantage back in 2013 and loved it! only disadvantage to it was holding hills. I see Exmarks hard work to provide a machine here that will hold hills but it looks way too big, oh and did i mention hideous? Anyhow, still huge exmark fans but this thing is a flop for now. Hopefully they'll go back to the drawing board soon and create a way to keep the low center of gravity appeal but make the machine look more compact, be more comfortable to operate and step it up 10 notches on it's aesthetic appeal

Stay away from the toilet maker company their Kohler engines uses plastic gear on the camshaft, after the warrany or 1300 hrs later it broke on me coasting me $500 to fix and I'm sure it will happen agian.
Wright and Scag vride 2 look better than that
Ugly and as always exmark puts baby as motors on their mowers! Once my credit builds up im trading my Radius x series for a scag cheetah.

fastdraw30 they are made for smaller properties they weigh less then sit down you can put more on a trailer and have big decks like a sit down they cut hills 100% better then a sit down do I need to go on
I demod a toro stand on and it sucked. Couldnt hold a hill to save its life. My cheetah out side hilled it big time.
Kyle Fitzherbert there is nothing better then a scag of any kind but the v ride scag is better on hill then the cheetah I've put more hours on those machines then most have driven in there cars

I saw your factory rep demoing an aerator and 36in staris to a small time hack job landscaper who will never buy a new machine from you. The staris looked absolutely terrible and would make customers question ones manhood and credibility.
