    used to own a 987. Now traded it for a 997.2 911. I like the 911 but I miss the feel of a manual. This really brings back memories

    Just so you know when you said it was strange that the seats have a lever on the top making them go forward, it is because if you pull the carpet from behind the seats there is a engine access bay where you can remove things such as the alternators and belts.

    Nice presentation, I’m thinking of getting a 07 model. I guess the previous owner was an Army guy from the 1st Infantry Division. The Big Red One!

    This is a base with 2.7L 240 hp and not the S model which has a 3.2L 280hp.

    • @lukasautomotiveawesomeness1536
      @lukasautomotiveawesomeness1536  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm pretty sure it's the 3.2 because the 2.7 was not available with a 6-speed manual! It came with a 5-speed manual! Since this vehicle is equipped with a 6-speed, it's got the 3.2

      The S model comes with the Boxster S badge on the back and the other more reliable way to tell is the base model has one large exhaust tip and the S model had two smaller ones.

    • @gilbertfernandez141
      @gilbertfernandez141 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      The s model also has a middle radiator. This one doesn’t.

    • @gilbertfernandez141
      @gilbertfernandez141 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Depending on the package some base models have 6 speeds.

    found one of these selling for about $10k with 97k miles. is it worth it ? or is maintenance and parts too expensive for you’re average person

    • @lukasautomotiveawesomeness1536
      @lukasautomotiveawesomeness1536  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm no expert on that, but you can try it if you want to. Yes, maintenance and parts will be more expensive than the average car. Have a mechanic check it out before you buy it, just to be sure

      First off, the car isn't very dirty
      Second, it's not my car
      Third, the person who had it at the time this was filmed no longer owns it
