I was very fortunate to get a lightly used one on Ebay just one month ago that is pristine. This watch is a GShock Giez and a chronograph so it's not intended to be all that light or have a standard second hand. I have nothing but praise for it's asthetics, design and function. The packaging is mighty pleasing too as DougFNJ mentioned. Nice job on reviewing this watch.

Depends, if it is cooler, I use the 6th slot from the outside of the band for a snug, yet loose enough fit, otherwide it's loose enough to roll around my wrist, if the weather is warm, I loosen it to 5th slot as that is usually perfect. If Casio made the slot anywhere in between the 5th and 6th the bands they make would all be perfect for anytime.
I have the GIEZ GS1000D with the 4343 movement and although I like the looks of this watch it is the most confusing watch I own to try and set up. Zeroing the hands alone to get it all in-sync took a split screen in order to follow two sections of the manual at the same time.
you all do get the signals, but when you swap the world time for your home time and vise versa, you have to sync the watch again after, every time. keep up the buzzin reviews everyone. kev
Thats your big difference between Stainless Steel and resin. Casio definitely gives a good variety. If you like heavy Stainless Steel is your best bet, if you prefer lighter, definitely better off with the resin models. I have to agree though, I think the analog technology on the inside adds a bit to the weight of the watch. Enjoy.
Your explanation of this watch is very good. 5 stars! The watch itself is utter shit though. If you forget the sequence of buttons to press to access each feature (and you will) you're screwed because it is the most unintuitive piece of tech on planet earth. You can't simply look at the buttons and guess how to change settings because there's absolutely no logic to it. I'm putting mine on ebay. If anyone decides to buy this watch I suggest that you carry the instructions with you!
Ive just got myself a gs1100, Very nice watch but my only complaint is that its so heavy. I also have an AWG101-1AER which is half the weight! I suppose with it all being alalogue its going to be a bit heavy but this is nearly as heavy as my omega seamaster with s.steel band. All that said I do like it, A must have gadget.
hi mate very nice watch, very nice vids. i've purchased a couple of watches after watching your vids also. but i think the watch is ion-plated steel, not gun metal. i thought the same when i first saw my gw3000! i'm thinking of getting this watch your showing me now, she's a beauty thats for sure. really like this watch. keep up the vids!
Wow I really enjoyed your review, I have the same watch, but the Thai version, only difference is my rubber band has two holes side by side with twin locking.

Is it set to Automatic Receive? Unfortunately the signal works best at night? I don't know if Hawaii is within signal range...I suspect it is if you are getting 3 bars.
Hi, I am itending to buy the GS-1100D-1AER model and I would like to know more about the neobrite coating, because these watches do not have backlight. How long is the afterglow of the watch with the neobrite and is it sufficient for the evening without exposing it to the light to see the time? Thanks in advance.
I have a GS1000D. I almost hate this watch. The settings are not intuitive and I really had to work to get it to correct local time and that had to be done manually. Very frustrating watch. I have a Casio PAW-2000 1CR multi-function ABC watch that is a breeze compared to this piece of work.

That was bugging me at first too, I got used to it. Some press the stopwatch button at the zero to turn it into a second hand.
