I’m trying to build a barndo in Alabama. I have 5 acres, want something unique, and with a 3 car garage......as cost effective as possible (which I know isn’t any cheaper than a regular home but as best I can.........any recommendations?
Lots of common sense stuff here. Let's talk Washington State energy codes. Foundations in cold climates, you Barndominium folks like to sidestep a lot, follow the codes, then see how much money you really save and efficiency. Stick built advanced framing may be a better option. Please give honest advice, pros and cons, thanks.
Ice breakers/snow guards are important on roofs in cold weather to prevent huge amounts of snow coming down.
Concise and valid points. Thank you.
Any barndo builder recommendations for the Minnesota (Twin Cities) area?
I would contact Pat, from Worldwide Steel Buildings. They have an office in Minneapolis. They may know of a builder. Shalom!
Hi, Did you find barndo builder in Minnesota?
With spray foam or insulation do you have overhangs on the barndo or none and if you do do you close them in tight

I’ve read so long as you insulate beneath the slab it’s not necessary to dig beneath the frost line
Now I know you said you design for all over the US, so you also offer engineering with those designs?
We do not provide engineering as we are not engineers. We recommend using a local state license engineered.
do you have somebody who build Brando's in upper Michigan?
I do not, but we do quite a bit of design work in Michigan.
@@GregJamesDesigns i'm sure the design is important but I wouldn't engage with a builder who doesn't build brand's...thanks
@@carmas54 did you find anyone..?I'm in the thumb
