    Meet the Suzuki Ignis!
The second-generation Suzuki Ignis arrived on UK roads in 2017 and over the years it’s been one of the Japanese brand’s most popular offerings. It occupies a rather strange place in the market as it can be considered both a city car or small SUV, depending on who you ask. WhatCar recently named it the best small SUV for value, yet it’s more similar in size to a Volkswagen Up than a Ford Puma.
The Ignis received a facelift in 2020 that gave it even more rugged compact SUV appeal with revised exterior styling, as well as the addition of a new hybrid powertrain. Like other Suzuki models, it's easy to wrap your head around the Ignis range thanks to three clearly defined trim levels and just one engine option.
So, which version should you go for? And is it the perfect choice if you’re looking for a small car with SUV capabilities?
    Let’s find out...

Yes you should buy one. They are very roomy, reliable and reasonably comfortable for a small car. For the money they are the best small car on the market.

Hi the first Bs I found about the Ignis as an owner in Australia is that it is a city runabout. My little ignis loves the highway. I live in the Mallee Wimmera Victoria, very flat. Travelling at 100 KPH on the flat 1800 RPM's. A very steep hill it got to 2700 RPM's (6300 RPM's before it harms engine.) for a short burst. It cruises at around 24 kilometers per litre at 100 KPH. It is an amazing vehicle. Only fault is road noise. You have to learn to drive the cvt gearbox from take off for a smooth effortless acceleration. I maintain a constant 2000 revs under acceleration (gently) until I reach my required speed then taper off. Roundabouts I approach like a racing car driver slow down then progressively accelerate around the roundabout for a smooth cvt operation. Solid built vehicle, open the boot bonnet doors then close them and hear that clunk that only comes from a well built car. I am 6'1"(185 cm) and it is so easy to enter exit my Ignis. I still have height adjustment in the seat. Only thing I will doing is changing the oil/filter every 7.500 k's. 15000 km services are BS.

Be aware....the hybrid system doesn't work in cool weather. Anything under 7C is likely not to work....or if it does you will have to drive for a while before it "warms up" enough...kind of defeats the purpose of a city car which is meant mostly for short trips.
