Ah wow, that's incredible. So scared, yet so desperate to be loved
Like so many humans...
A lovely story. If only we all had the patience to see the good in every living animal.
Now she's ready to begin life and start all over again in love.
Who, the dog or the trainer?
and to love
Unfortunately someone didn't do their research with Belgian Malinois and got this dog, treated her badly, and dumped her at the shelter probably saying "she's too much, we can't handle her". A high energy and extremely intelligent dog all ripped away from her owners and sitting behind a chain link door in a tiny room with no one around to show her affection and approval. She just wants to be loved. No wonder she acted out. Thank you for taking the time with her. It only took a little time for her to trust humans again.
I would never get a Malemwha Shepard or a Catahoula or any hunting herding dog,,, im too old now… you have to have energy yourself.
I hope this couple realize this is a high energy dog, many dogs are too. But, seems many owners are busy, lazy, etc. Im praying they give her what she Needs!
This is what happens when you get a dog out of ego instead of looking for a good match. Bravo to you for helping her!
My aunt did this she got a German Shepard didn’t train it at all and gave it a bad diet and after like 6 months she brought it to the shelter and said that it was to aggressive
This woman is doing EXACTLY what she was meant to in this life.
53 yr. old veteran here.... I have tears streaming down my face. God Bless these folks.
I agree an 200 %..bless you folks!! You make this world a better place!
Did you see what was on the floor of the Kennel?
ain’t that the truth brother
Nothing moves me to tears like an animal in fear/danger/a downright crappy situation. Bless you ❤
As a veteran it got me infuriated to see the flag on the floor of a dog kennel.
Dogs will never get aggressive, or scared on their own. It’s always triggered how they’re treated. Thank God people like this wonderful woman exist. She sees straight through the soul of this beautiful dog, what the problem is, and how you should take away that problem. Not all heroes wear capes…
Not true, some dogs are bred for aggression. When I was younger I got a pitbull pup and he was extremely aggressive toward other dogs on my street, even as a puppy and was not a dog to be around children even as a puppy.
@@barbr2170those types of dogs need to be socialized. If you never socialized the dog that could be the reason it was so aggressive towards other dogs. You should never get a reactive breed unless you know what you’re doing for that reason. German shepherds are also a reactive and anxious dog breed.
@Bunxana no, not reactive -they are working dogs. They REQUIRE activity and stimulation or they will become destructive. Not every dog can be a sedate family dog.
That puppy just wants all the love she can get
Belgian malinois are super loyal and affectionate doggies..
High energy ! Thats why they are such good workers. One of your smarter dogs too. I've always had GSD's . But All dogs are wonderful and they deserve our love more than we do theirs.
Thank you so much for not giving up on this dog. Wonderful how proud she looked with her new owners. And now i want chicken nuggets.
Hats off to the young lady who was able to socialize this pup. Take a minute to think about the effort and then turn this wonderful soul over to someone else. It has to be tough to let go.
It's insanely hard to let go. My hubs still talks about a foster we had over 3 years ago named Jethro. Literally brought him up again 2 days ago. I feel bad for parting him from that animal because it's now obvious to me how much he truly loved him...but it opened us to take more fosters so ultimately it was the best decision. It's still hard though
You know it never occurred to me that women like this could help so many dogs by helping them get adopted. It makes so much sense, she's a dog therapist, which is what they need along with a loving home. Not every willing adopter will have the skills to heal a dog like this even if they want to. Very inspiring.
How this Belgian got to the point of fear aggression is mind boggling. they are one of the most loyal fearless protectors and friends of humans, Not hard to see why many professional forces uses the breed in law enforcement and military. They are also very intelligent.
Reasoning the way her barriers was broken down just by the simple act of love, something she craved for. Thank you for including us in her journey to her happy ever after.
Looks like both genetic and environment. Could be a very bad environment coupled with the fact that the breeders could be breeding dogs who are more skittish and snappy. And together, you get a dog like this.
@@blenderpain8249that malawa has to get over the owner that dumped it
@@Tkidddd Unfortunately that's not how it works. She's a dog, she doesn't have the capacity to understand.
@@blenderpain8249 unfortunately she does and that's the problem
@@Tkidddd Dude, how do you tell a dog to "get over it"? It's a dog.
It saddens me to imagine what this poor girl might have endured to make her so fearful that she felt she had to be "aggressive" to defend herself. But it always makes me happy that there are caring people out there who take the time to give dogs like these the chance to learn to trust humans again. So glad this girl found the loving forever home she deserved from the start.
Hello how are you doing today
Yes, you make such an astute observation, and I think that is exactly right - she must have gone through something quite serious to make her so fearful that she felt she had to be "aggressive" to defend herself. God bless that sweet baby's heart, and God bless these wonderful people for helping her. 💜🙏
I experienced the same behavior with my adopted Malinois. This kind of behavior in them is mostly from lack of socialization.
it's the same with cats who hiss or lash out. It's a fear response and never something evil. Every pet derserves to be treated with kindness, love and respect.
she might not necessarily have ever endured anything bad, bad socialization and bad genetics can cause this
Patience and love are a dogs best friend 💯
Thanks to everyone involved and for showcasing this beautiful story 💙🐕
''Patience and love are a dogs best friend''
Not necessarily. It only works on dogs with fear based aggression, not with dogs with on the prowl, born aggression.

she's like: i didn't know i can't trust you 🤗🤗🤗
1:16 look at that happiness
God bless this lady for her patience, love and care for this dog. She literally saved its life.
Thank you!❤I couldn't of said it better!🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for adopting this precious dog 🐕❤
There are no bad dogs. Just bad owners. I love dogs 🐕❤. Be well and safe and happy sweet dog ❤❤❤❤❤
*Sahari, you embody the epitome of a dog trainer-your adept selection of food, choice of words, serene demeanor, and sprinkles of laughter all contribute to building trust effortlessly. I earnestly hope that more individuals within the dog training community adopt your exceptional methodology*
As someone who has had a fear of dogs my whole life watching these kind of stories really inspires me to try to heal my relationship with the canine folk. ❤
why not volunteer as a dog walker for a dog shelter
@@Ania-qb3ot that’s a really good idea! 👍
I'll never tire seeing a breakthrough with an animal that's lived in fear or abuse or whatever their situation. Just goes to show how with love and patience most can overcome the situation they've been put in.
What a great turn-around!
Well done saving a precious life that just needed some help healing and overcoming fear.
She looks like a beautiful Belgian Malinois! Awesome dog!
Pure Hearted LOVE GETS THEM EVER TIME..I LOVE ALL DOGS .THEY ALL LOVE ME..
Hand feeding is so pure, such a tiny gesture means everything to them. I fed my dogs from the hand on occasion the bond they feel with you is irreplaceable.
Sahari, you're the absolutely perfect kind of dog trainer- the choice of food to begin building trust, the words you used, the calmness you created, and your little bits of laughter. I wish more people who work with dogs would use your method.
Hello
I am crying. Because you were willing to take the time she now has a forever home. It does not get better than that.
What a beautiful ending to this story. Huge shout out to this woman who actually took the time to work with her and show her the love and patience she needed. We need more people like her in this world.
What an amazing difference!
We need more people who know the difference between aggressive behavior and just plain fear! I'm so glad that this fur baby has the chance to show her true self.
Poor thing! Our dog was exactly like that. A German Shepherd K-9 unit who was removed from her handler due to abuse. She went from snarling & gnashing teeth to the most perfect lovey dovey guard dog. RIP Duchess.
So great to see. Many times we see people mis-interpret a dog being scared for aggressive but with a little understanding, care and persistence that anxious defence the dog has can be broken down. It's so good to watch, no tools, no assertive control training just care and creating a bond of trust with this clearly very lovely dog!
If people were only this patient with other people world would be much better place
What a beautiful dog! Someone did her badly to produce so much fear. Great job bringing her back to her real self. Long life and happiness to her and her new family.
Amazing dedication on her part. Because of her patience, she saved that dogs life.
2:52 How proud she looks! 💗
Beautiful happy ending for a most beautiful girl. Thank you for not giving up on her! She's amazing! 😍
That's what I'm talking about right there
I work with animals in need of adoption and I always tel new, potential pet parents that they may be scared or shy but you would also be if you went through what they have been through! Give them time and their personality will blossom ❤
Fear aggression is something that can be addressed, as noted in this excellent piece
Yes! ❤
Malenois are so smart too! She's just beautiful and will be an amazing addition to an active family!❤
She is beautiful.
To the lady that helped this dog, thank you for not giving up on her😊
Dogs like her just needs someone with patience! She was fearful and this lady took the time to develop a bond & the dog associated her with good things as food and comfort.
her face when being adopted.... just pure happiness!! she's just made my day!
Lovely story. 💕
Bless your heart that dog is for you for you a lot of people can't do what you do and then again open up your heart and your home to a foster child we got too many children and falls to care to really be thinking about animals😮
Somebody got a great dog because of you. Thank you for your time and effort.
She is so beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to show how lovely she really is.
When I was 13 years old me and my mom were walking home and a mugger came up to us with a knife and all the sudden a stray pitbull rescued us and we took him to the vet and found out he was micro chiped to an illegal dog fighting area so we adopted him and every one told us he was aggressive but he was the sweetest boy, he was so gentle with humans and other animals (and people say pitbulls are aggressive)❤❤❤
What a wonderful story...the pittie who rescued you and your Mom was destined to be wit you...🥰
I've been around pitties for a long time and have yet to find an aggressive one. It's how they are raised. If you raise one with love, they love you back. My neighbor used to have one that we nick named Houdini because he was an escape artist. One time he got out of his yard without his owner noticing and I was coming home from school. I saw Houdini wandering around and my friends said to not go near it its a pit bull. I showed them, I got down to a knee and called him over and he let me pet him and rub his belly, my friends were astounded. I took him back home to his house and my neighbor was happy it ended that way and not animal control being called for a wandering pitbull.
@@kylederry5031 than you haven’t been around enough pits plan and simple.. That’s probably the dumbest take ever when clear evidence of pits being aggressive have been produced for over 50 years. It’s more that you’re deliberately being delusional. I had one that was the sweetest dog ever and one day he attacked a whole pack of dogs just to be the big dog on the street. Had to put him down cause he killed 4 other dogs and mangled the other two..
@@Bam_Bam_Bam_Bam that sucks for you
@@Bam_Bam_Bam_BamWas your pit defending himself against a perceived threat? Any dog will do that.
This dog had so much love to give hidden behind her wall of fear.
She's really adorable. You've done a great job Sahari 👍
Brought tears to my eyes that you recognized and reached the longing for love inside her❤
You are simply angels from heaven You and your fiance will be rewarded with a beautiful life
Oh my this brought me to tears ❤ thank you thank you so much for saving her life ❤
Mallionois are very sensitive and need careful and gentle handling. Whoever did this to this beautiful girl needs a good dose of the treatment they gave her! Im so glad she got her forever home ❤
Another example is these dogs are fearful in a shelter they just need some TLC ❤. Thank you for saving her !
Thank you to the lady that spent time with her. The dog knew you were kind and special. God bless you.
I have a belgian shephard tervuren and watching this i couldnt stop smile. Really lovely video .What a lovely lady for giving her the love she needed.
Hello Jennifer 👋 how are you doing? Hope you’re having a wonderful day so far 😊❤
800 miles, wow, what a dedication to this sweet girl. So glad that she found you and her forever home.
What a sweetheart! Its horrifying to think what must have happened to make her so frightened. Good job!
So many dogs and cats cannot tell you the horrors they have suffered often at the hands of humans. Aggression is usually a fear response. I'm so thankful they worked with this beautiful girl. God bless everyone who takes the time to show an animal love in their darkest hour.
❤ trust, patience and love
Pinned up energy. She is a Mallinois. They need 2-4 hours a day of rigorous activity. Great patience, love, and perseverance! Happy New Year. Keep up the graceful work.🙂
I wish more people could read dogs well enough to know the difference between real fear and real aggression.
Especially with the Belgian Malinois in this case that desperately needs socialization instead of being locked in a kennel.
As soon as they bond with you, it's forever. Their loyalty is limitless.
I love this video.
I'm no expert, but it seemed like she was highly sensitive to the chaos of other dogs barking. That probably made it seem worse.
❤ Love this woman! ❤ Who knows what the dog went through to make her so scared 😢 All it took was someone to work through it with her 🙏
I got my first malinois two years ago and she is absolutely one of the most affectionate dogs I've ever had. Can't say enough about the breed. So happy to see her in a forever home. I'm trying to work through some similar issues with my dogs fear of certain strangers as well.
I wondered if this was a Malinois. Beautiful dog.
yeh it is@@adrienchandler4906
Is it true they need a minimum of 4 hours of exercise a day?
This touches my heart this is absolutely amazing amazing and heart warming how this dog went from being aggressive to sweet and play full I'm sure she is in a beautiful place now I hope other dogs out there find the one who makes them happy and puts brightness to their beautiful heart ☺❤
Thank you for helping this beautiful girl shine ❤️
Thank you to all of you who helped her get over that sad fear!❤
She's a Belgian. Malinois. I have one that I'm raising. My gosh, they have these incredible personalities. And they are EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT. Make no mistake. They're tactical dogs for a reason. They have a huge prey drive and because of that combination they are very easy to train. This girl felt the vibe of the trainer and her sincere want for this beautiful girl. It's awesome to see how amazing she turned out. Best wishes for y'all 😊
She's not. She's a GSD, and if you had one you'd know the difference in the way they look. And they're not that intelligent or tactical either, that's GSDs too.
They shouldn't have a prey drive. They are not a hunting breed.
@@radicalreactions1633 It's a Belgian Malinois.
@@LastAttempt-h1d They do have a prey drive, and Belgian Malinois were originally bred to be a all-around farm dog. That means they did herding, hunting, guard work, etc..
I'm actually so proud to see Sahari here! We went to UC Davis and I remember her being a passionate person about all animals. I'm glad she's still the same :)❤
Thank you to you and your fiancée for seeing her for who she really is. Thank you for finding and driving 800 miles to her new family.
Abuse and neglect will do horrible things.. to all species. Thank you, deeply, for investing in her well-being. Beautiful. ❤❤❤
Animals cannot tell us what they have been through. I hate that we give up on them too easily. Thanks for what you do!
What a beautiful light this woman is in the world, to see through to the love in this dog and to save her. Bless this woman 😊❤
They just need love. May God protect all the animals of this world. 🕊️💟🤍
I'm gonna cry!! That big smile in her adoption photo...I can't :( I'm so happy a loving couple took her in as their new fur daughter ♥may she have a long, loving life filled with treats and lots of playtime ♥
Well, I have opened the chopped onions again. Dogs are not inherently bad. And in shelters with so many other dogs barking it must be so scary and they do not know what to expect from one minute to another. I am so happy they put the work into just getting her to learn not all people are bad and the life they have led can become so much better. I have been looking into doing this sort of work myself. Love and respect we should always show to all living things. Thank you nugget lady!
They're mammals just like us. They go through so much. Just arriving at a shelter must be so scary from their point of view. Please give these animals the love, patience and kindness they desperately deserve. 💜.
Они этого не заслуживают! Они этого достойны БЕЗУСЛОВНО. просто тем, что они есть❤
I always remind myself that if I was thrown into jail without any reason after being traumatized, I know I would act much worse. In fact after my abusive dad died, I moved in with my grandparents (who were and still are the most stable people I know) and I was a terror for years until I turned 18 and something in my brain finally clicked after a couple near death experiences. No one should judge these animals for who they became in these environments. I understand that not everyone has the capabilities to find the true soul of every dog they meet at the kennel, but I wish their fear response to not become a death sentence.
A very misunderstood sweetie pie 😮 Thank you for taking your time to read her and ensuring she didn’t have to behave aggressively to be understood.
You guys are angels 😇
Beautiful dog!!
Malinios need special care. This broke my heart. I'm glad she found her forever home
How many places wouldn't have taken the time to gain her trust, and she would be no more. What a sweet girl. ❤😊
WHAT a transition!!! All she needed was love and patience to trust again...then she blossomed. What a beautiful girl. I'm so very happy for her in her forever home.❤
Thank you for helping her. So many have been put down because no one took the time to work with them. I can't believe you had her outside playing in 3 days. I hope others can learn from you and save many more dogs the same way. You are Angels ❤
Oh my gosh!! You should have kept her ❤ But thank you for bringing out her dog self, of love and joy, so someone could receive her love and give her love in return❤
Hello 👋 how are you doing? Hope you’re having a wonderful day so far 😊❤
Wow great job that you have done with this beautiful dog. From California Dawn ❤
Such a beautiful dog! Thank you for giving her the chance to shine
Most people never associate fear with aggression. I loved how she blossomed.
What a beautiful transformation. Love is all it takes.
Hello how are you doing today
A Mal when he likes you, just the best thing ever. As fierce as they are when trained, they are equally fierce in 'transmitting' love. Worked with quite a few of these guys, both in the military and at home with the showline. It's always high energy but in the sweetest way, even the working ones.
Awesome work. Thanks for saving this good girl.
Esas olas tremendamente cristalinas le dieron la mejor vida a esta bella criatura.
I wish some people would give more dogs a chance and have patience with them when they are going through a difficult time as shown in this story. What may appear as aggression might just be fear or trauma and not necessarily the dog’s personality in every case. ❤
Sahari, you’re an angel of compassion and patience. Look how loving she was when she knew she could trust you and how much she needed love 💕. Lucky I’m not crying just before work 😭
Hello how are you doing today
Lovely the dog found confidence with the woman
How beautiful. What avg 3:26 reat dog. Thank you for not giving up on her. She just needed love & affection. And to drivev800 miles, you all are angels sent from heaven. God Bless you❤😂🎉
I got a rescue just like this. She wasn't as aggressive but if you even looked at her the wrong way, she'd pee in terror. After working with her for about a year, she became the most beautiful, happy go-lucky dog I've ever had the privilege of owning. I love rescues with all my heart.
You cared so deeply that she just knew. thank you for letting her see her freedom and her heart soar!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking up the time with this beautiful baby and teach her that people can love her. I sure wish this for all dogs. The surely deserve a place in our homes and hearts.
