exactly... it’s just way too dangerous.. the way adrien, who is chat noir, found out was bc he saw ladybug zoom out of the window and when he noticed the note was signed marinette, he obviously connected the dots. the reason he falls in love with her is bc she is ladybug.... and obviously his dad tells him to stop seeing her bc is plan was to akumitize mari, but obviously chat couldn’t let this happen to his lady so he transforms in front of her, but nathalie caught him and tells his father and then his father manipulates him and makes him choose between saving his mother or the world. this makes chat noir overwhelmed so he just ends up destroying everything (since he was chat blanc) bc he was akumitised by his own dad. and in the episode, he literally tells marinette that their love did “this” to the world. also, keep in mind the mari doesn’t know that adrien is chat... it’s the other way around. they showed us that clip to give us a glimpse of what would happen, so that is only revealed to us and bunnix. not chat and mari.. once ladybug frees chat blanc he still calls her mari, so her the throwing up her luck charm into the air to “fix” everything would kind of be useless bc it wouldn’t completely fix _everything_ so she then asks bunnix to take her back a few minutes before he figures out. she uses her luck charm (eraser ) to erase her name off the note and then finally throws her charm into the air before adrien comes in. which reversed everything including (past marientte.) then she ends up telling adrien that a fan from brazil gave that gift to him this is why adrien can’t figure out. adrien and mari don’t know each other’s identities. mari is in love with adrien, and adrien is in love which ladybug.. so if mari told adrien that she was ladybug... a disaster would happen... the same one that happened in the episode “chat blanc”

It's a very delicate subject. A one sided reveal is never going to work. To be honest I don't even know how they're gonna handle everything once they find out but from now I think the first step is to let them get even closer and fell in love with each other's every ego or whatever. I know it will all come down but I'm so ready for the heavy angst. I'm going to live it. There's still a lot to improve in their relationship tho and I want them to take it slowly since a whole ass universe is going to perish if they don't. As of now, I think they're handling Ladynoir's development first and then Adrienette is going to be the next. LadyNoir has the best development for now out of all the ships ngl. I think the whole show tries to parallel Yin Yang. They’re opposites but they complete one another. Its also shown in the beginning in the box design when the old guardian master had it. The ladybug earrings ,power of creation and the cat’s ring ,power of destruction. I know its obvious but its nice to see these comparisons that people point out.
Is it weird that I actually like this? Because I haven't seen Furious Fu, but I heard that this will be the episode where the amulets that LB makes to prevent people from getting akumatized will be introduced. And out of everyone in the entire show, I really love the idea of Mr. Ramier being the first person to get one of these! It would be such a good sort of ending to the character's pretty sad life lol.
I didn't know Juleka actually talked. In the french dub, they always made her mumble. I guess the English version made certain changes but this was always the case in the French version.

His her partner, her best befriend, if Alya is the reason why she was inspired to Ladybug then Chat is the reason why she still stays as Ladybug. He plays an important role in her life. This is a promise they made together. She broke it because of her poor mental health but it's still not fair to him. He has every right to know and be even mad or hurt about it.

Another reason why I thought Alya made the most sense to get the reveal first is that Alya was Marinette’s first choice as to who to give a miraculous to. But I think Adrien could find out later in the season, since I think in Monster Fu that Su Han said that Ladybug and Cat Noir should know the identities of each other

The timetravel aspect of Chat Blanc is confusing, Did she remember find out she can not reveal herself to cat noir or it'll be the end of the world? Did she remember it after the miraculous ladybugs had fixed everything?

This was an amazing episode and while I am really glad that Alya is the first to find out, I am quite scared about Chat's reaction. He hates secrets and being in the dark as we see in Syren, I really think we're gonna have a big Ladynoir conflict because of this reveal. Everything of course will be solved in the end. Previously Ladybug only had Chat Noir to count on but now that Alya is there to support her as both Marinette and Ladybug, I see Ladybug becoming more distant from Chat. It's great that Alya will be there to support her as well, having only one person to rely on is not healthy either but this breaks their "us against world". I found that one line in truth where Chat Noir says he's okay as long as things stay the same between him and Ladybug foreshadowing when the episode came out itself. And it was actually right because things have already changed. But honestly even if Ladynoir is my favourite ship I am really excited for it. it's about time Chat starts questioning this dumb identity rule and his poor treatment.
Eh he's never been treated poorly, in fact he gets favoured a lot even when he makes obvious mistakes, however he treats the job poorly. Chat Noir is not a perfect hero by any means and needs to be called out more often with his recklessness. If he was smart he would not get mad and trust her. That's realistic.

Bunnix couldn't stop trashing him for a mistake he didn't even do for 1 minute the entire episode. Anyway my first comment didn't refer to how the narrative treats him poorly or doesn't call him out often but rather how the characters in universe like Master Fu treat him poorly and keeps him in the dark. He is her equal partner. No matter what Thomas says, the narrative says or Ladybug says. There's always a line between Ladybug and him. With Rena now knowing Ladybug's secret identity, that line is going to widen. I just hope the show acknowledges it instead of just selling false equality. It would be great development for Adrien given how low his self-esteem is.

(Weredad) As i used to work as a florist I know. (Been a long time since i left the job) screams “he is starting to fall Marinette.” Heres why. Pink roses symbolize gratitude, grace, and joy. Its somewhat shows you have admiration for someone. It could also mean innocent romantic love. Pink roses represent a beautiful, fresh love and a pureness of emotion. And also did you know, a number of roses mean something from 1 to a whole basket of them. And since Adrien/Chat brought one rose, he is ACTUALLY in love with Marinette as it means “love at first sight.” And if he brought 5 pink roses, which would’ve mean, that Marinette is special to him as he mentioned a couple of times. Which also means she is a very special friend. Some people use the pink rose in the early stages of a relationship. But many arent aware of its meaning. 😓 We all know Chat/Adrien knows all too well the meaning of flowers/mainly roses. So I bet he is aware of the meanings. Adrien akumarized as Cat Noir and Chat Blanc was very obvious and Propably Ladybug Version is with Antibug colors but Just like Rena Rage and Shell Shock there is "Civilian" forms like for them as Bubbler and Lady Wifi. I am more interested to see Adrien and Marinette "civilian" Akumatized forms before Shadow Moth turns Ladybug into Antibug but I am more interested to know how Ladybug and Chat Noir act under Shadow Moth control and yes I said also Chat because even though he was akumatized he never was controlled
To me, we don’t have to really worry about Akuma’s effecting the superhero group. Ladybug got a power upgrade; which gives her the ability to give an object (or a charm, whatever it is) too someone, which gives the person the ability to never get akumatized. Personally, this is why I think Mari told Ayla, saying that she can resist it on her *own*, AND Mari now has the Akuma protecting thing now!

For the sake of Marinette's mental health, I'm glad that she has told someone about her double life and it is someone she trusts. I understand for safety reasons, super heroes have to keep their identities a secret but Marinette has been under so much pressure for a teen. She deserves to have a normal life and not worry about the fate of the world. It's unfair! She should not have to do this alone. But I wonder as the series progress, will more people find out that she is Ladybug? Her other girl friends, parents, Luka, and/or Adrien? Will they learn the secret? Now that Alya knows that Marinette is Ladybug, does that mean that she will come to find out about Lila's lies? Could there be any consequences whatsoever to Alya knowing now? Even though for the most part, I've stopped watching the show all together in season 3 and refuse to see the New York special, I am curious about future season 4 episodes.
I think this is the set up for an episode were chat uncovers that Ladybug has told her identity to someone with a following struggle of trust between the 2. Talking about chat noir, tough i don’t think they are planning to develop him this way, it would be great if they played the longer game with his development. Ladybug gradually achieving a status of total leadership in the team (something she did not have in season 1), he not being the first to know her identity, his father being hawkmoth and he having much bigger problems (marinette is just having more stressful moments, Adrian has a deep personality crisis) his breakdown (if it will happen) will happen later but will be much bigger

I agree that its good that Alya got to know first,they are like sisters,and Alya has always been by her side when she went through anything,I can see where chat might be hurt he didn't get to know first but would be probably understanding once he gets to see how deep and all the pressure she went through.
Master fu had a whatchamacallit with random buttons too to hide the miraculous box. Guess it’s natural for miraculous holders to come with secretly camouflaged gears when the time comes.
Believe or not there is a central theme that links this episode to their first time akumitizations. It’s betrayal. Lady WiFi happened because she was feeling betrayed by the school for being unjust. Timebreaker happened because Alix felt like she betrayed her family history. Reflekta betrayed by classmates same with Princess Fragrance and Horrificator. Now with this episode Alya felt betrayed by her best friend. Which connects to Mylene’s disappointment which connects to Rose’s sadness which connects to Juleka’s desire to help her brother and that links in with Alix desperation to prevent it at any cost. All those emotions are linked by Betrayal. And in truth Marinette has to betrayed herself and Luka. And in Lies Kagami betrayed Adrien. 3 episode all focused on betrayal. Even furious fu also fits
That's an interesting observation. I agree with everything expect while Kagami wasn't perfect inher relationship with Adrien. She didn't betray him. It's the opposite. She rather felt betrayed by Adrien.

But you were always able to detransform whenever without using powers. It’s talked about in a few episodes. I know it is definitely talked about in Time Tagger. If they didn’t follow through with this it would be a bigggg plot hole.
They are growing and in gang of secrets we saw that after she came after swimming she didnt dstransform untill the kwamis reminded her and she also said that her life is too complicated anf that she should be ladybug all the time and she can be cuz shes old enough
@Fun With Nandini! Marinette is 15. In France, you’re not an adult until you’re 18. So no, she’s not old enough. She’s “growing” but not by that much. Character development is different from actually physically growing up. In Time Tagger they say you only don’t transform back after five minutes if you’re an adult. Marinette isn’t an adult yet. If Miraculous is now doing this, then it’s a plot hole in their writing and they screwed up the lore. Simple as that. Wouldn’t be the first time. If she’s Ladybug all the time but doesn’t use her powers, yeah, she can be Ladybug all the time. But it doesn’t actually work like that if she does use her powers.
this episode was amazing and as said in video a very important one. I think wayz is responsible for the box as he was for fu too. cause in episode furious fu he said he was decided to help fu protecting the miraculous box. this new box might look hi tech but it uses the same principles of the former one. I think it was really important for storyline that alya knew ladybug identity first and I think that was the main timeline that had to happen in first place and chat blanc incident changed it. I think alya will be the person responsible to tell chat and ladybug their secret identities

About Juleka's speech regression, Juleka only speaking in mumbles is only a gag in the French version, so we'll probably be able to hear what she's saying in the English dub

Actually, watching this made me think about how dangerous it would be for Tikki to use her power outside of the miraculous. It could literally make anything, tho since there'd be a consequence I'd say that it would probably be something terrible. What makes this worse is the randomness of it, which could have the potential to cause more damage than when Plagg uses his power outside of the miraculous.

I also have a theory on why alya was able to break free of the akuma in addition to the power of friendship thing is because since the akuma wasnt actually on her (she was just emotionally connected to it) it had a weaker hold on her. And those two things worked together to make it that she could break free. It would be interesting to see if this could be done again on a person with the akuma actually on them.
i realized at 1:58 juleka has something in her ear. it’s probably just for music but what if it’s because she’s slowly losing her hearing which is why she isn’t talking as much
While Alya breaking the akumatisation is ground breaking, perhaps the akumatisation link isn’t as strong as the person with the actual akumatised object would be. Since it was mentally linked from the beginning, it took a mental break so physically holding it could mean a physical break. Maybe Wayzz was there when Master Fu made his own box, so he could help Mari make hers.
Luckily for the story line the producers and most of the channels want to release the rest of the episode in order, not when thier ready. But one channel has already planned to relax at least two more episodes coming soon being released in readiness order. Episode 7 the final half of a two parter and episode 11. But after this it will not be untill the fall until we are confirmed to have other episodes.
As I'm typing this, I just finished watching the first 3 episodes of season 4 and so far, I'm really enjoying it. I appreciate that the story is finally taking things more seriously and realistic. I love where they're going with the plot at the end of episode 3 where Marinette tells Alya her identity.
we have seen this kind of akumatization happen before, with Zombizou. She wasn't actually in contact with the lipstick, but it was still connected to her emotionally so it affected her.
I'm gonna be honest, I feel like Alya knew from day one. Setting aside the episode "Truth" where it seems that she doesn't, the way she acts just says she knows. Also, in "Origins, part 2" Alya gets trapped by a car with a full view of Marinette when Mari puts on the earrings, has a conversation with Tikki, and transforms in broad daylight in the middle of the road. Now even if she didn't see, cuz let's be honest, a car weighing on you will make you at least squint, she definitely heard Marinette talking to someone about being Ladybug and then yelling: "Tikki spots on". Also, Alya is basically MJ with more social skills so for her not to have figured it out is just complete bs. Even her reaction to the reveal feels weak compared to how the biggest fan of Lb would react to figuring out her best friend is the hero, you could argue that Mari needed her emotionally that's why she didn't react too much but I doubt that.
You know, this episode reminds me of Randy Cunningham episode in the first episode. Where Randy Reveal to his best friend Howard that he's the Ninja at the end.
this concludes the plot line of alya trying to find out ladybugs secret identity which was set up back in season 1. alya finding out first makes perfect since because chest Marinette /ladybugs closest friend besides cat noir and plus che was the other character in show besides cat noir who wanted to find out ladybugs secret identity more badly then anyone else.
kind of odd seeing Cat Noir actually being able to hold his own against 3 akumatized villains at once. After seeing Alya take him down within literal seconds I guess I just kind of forgot that Cat Noir can actually fight competently when the script actually calls for it
I saw on twitter that thomas said it was like a gag that she would always mumble and that the english dub "Ruin the character" or something because they actually made her speak.
Oh my God okay at that reveal at the end I was low-key crying because it just was just what I expected from the show plus I think her being the first one to find out is a good choice and how I kind of expected the show to go but still it does not mean I wasn't crying

I'm watching this on TV right now and I do have to say, it's absolutely stupid that Marinette didn't get Akumatized but her friends did. She was fully depressed to the point of avoiding everyone, her mental health was at an all time low due to her break up, and she was willing to give herself up to Shadow Moth to no longer have to deal with all these secrets. People have been Akumatized in this show for small bouts of sadness so why on earth did Shadow Moth not sense her extremely negative headspace? Also i feel like the reason mari told alya is more than just because she is her best friend. Mari told alya not because she needed to *tell* someone but because she wanted someone to understand what she is going through and being there for her. She has chat on her side when shes ladybug and she needs someone by her side as mari too. So it made sense for her to tell this to alya. Telling chat wouldnt really help her with this particular problem because chat already understands her and her role of the guardian etc. Remember the last scene of lies when they say they can only trust eachother? She didnt need to reveal her identity for chat to understand her. But she did for alya. And thats clearly what mari needed this episode. A friend.

the way adrien, who is chat noir, found out was bc he saw ladybug zoom out of the window and when he noticed the note was signed marinette, he obviously connected the dots. the reason he falls in love with her is bc she is ladybug.... and obviously his dad tells him to stop seeing her bc is plan was to akumitize mari, but obviously chat couldn’t let this happen to his lady so he transforms in front of her, but nathalie caught him and tells his father and then his father manipulates him and makes him choose between saving his mother or the world. this makes chat noir overwhelmed so he just ends up destroying everything (since he was chat blanc) bc he was akumitised by his own dad. and in the episode, he literally tells marinette that their love did “this” to the world.
also, keep in mind the mari doesn’t know that adrien is chat... it’s the other way around. they showed us that clip to give us a glimpse of what would happen, so that is only revealed to us and bunnix. not chat and mari..
once ladybug frees chat blanc he still calls her mari, so her the throwing up her luck charm into the air to “fix” everything would kind of be useless bc it wouldn’t completely fix _everything_
so she then asks bunnix to take her back a few minutes before he figures out. she uses her luck charm (eraser ) to erase her name off the note and then finally throws her charm into the air before adrien comes in. which reversed everything including (past marientte.) then she ends up telling adrien that a fan from brazil gave that gift to him
this is why adrien can’t figure out.
adrien and mari don’t know each other’s identities.
mari is in love with adrien, and adrien is in love which ladybug.. so if mari told adrien that she was ladybug... a disaster would happen... the same one that happened in the episode “chat blanc”

It's a very delicate subject. A one sided reveal is never going to work. To be honest I don't even know how they're gonna handle everything once they find out but from now I think the first step is to let them get even closer and fell in love with each other's every ego or whatever. I know it will all come down but I'm so ready for the heavy angst. I'm going to live it. There's still a lot to improve in their relationship tho and I want them to take it slowly since a whole ass universe is going to perish if they don't. As of now, I think they're handling Ladynoir's development first and then Adrienette is going to be the next. LadyNoir has the best development for now out of all the ships ngl. Is it weird that I actually like this? Because I haven't seen Furious Fu, but I heard that this will be the episode where the amulets that LB makes to prevent people from getting akumatized will be introduced. And out of everyone in the entire show, I really love the idea of Mr. Ramier being the first person to get one of these! It would be such a good sort of ending to the character's pretty sad life lol.
I didn't know Juleka actually talked. In the french dub, they always made her mumble. I guess the English version made certain changes but this was always the case in the French version.

This was an amazing episode and while I am really glad that Alya is the first to find out, I am quite scared about Chat's reaction. He hates secrets and being in the dark as we see in Syren, I really think we're gonna have a big Ladynoir conflict because of this reveal. Everything of course will be solved in the end.
Previously Ladybug only had Chat Noir to count on but now that Alya is there to support her as both Marinette and Ladybug, I see Ladybug becoming more distant from Chat. It's great that Alya will be there to support her as well, having only one person to rely on is not healthy either but this breaks their "us against world". I found that one line in truth where Chat Noir says he's okay as long as things stay the same between him and Ladybug foreshadowing when the episode came out itself. And it was actually right because things have already changed.
But honestly even if Ladynoir is my favourite ship I am really excited for it. it's about time Chat starts questioning this dumb identity rule and his poor treatment.

Eh he's never been treated poorly, in fact he gets favoured a lot even when he makes obvious mistakes, however he treats the job poorly. Chat Noir is not a perfect hero by any means and needs to be called out more often with his recklessness. If he was smart he would not get mad and trust her. That's realistic.

Anyway my first comment didn't refer to how the narrative treats him poorly or doesn't call him out often but rather how the characters in universe like Master Fu treat him poorly and keeps him in the dark.
He is her equal partner. No matter what Thomas says, the narrative says or Ladybug says. There's always a line between Ladybug and him. With Rena now knowing Ladybug's secret identity, that line is going to widen. I just hope the show acknowledges it instead of just selling false equality. It would be great development for Adrien given how low his self-esteem is.

I love the episode, it really shows the pressure that Marinette is going through and that she can't take it anymore. I'm glad it was Alya that she told first because it makes sense they're best friends first but most importantly unlike the rest of the girls (sometimes) she's always been there for Marinette and she'll be able to provide support that Adrien/Chat Noir can't do right now.
I get that people are upset that she didn't tell Adrien/Chat Noir first but when have to remember Chat Blanc, while we might know the true reason why Chat Noir was akumatize Marinette doesn't, from her perspective it was because they figured out their identities which lead to HM figuring out and then world destruction.

I think the reason the plot is getting focused on more is because ladybug is gardein now the big parts in the plot was mostly about master fu before he lost his memory
I agree. More responsibilities means more struggles, and this is also pushed by how Shadowmoth has gotten stronger this season and has more resources.
I think the easiest explanation that Marinette could give Adrien as to why she didn't tell him first is "It literally caused the end of the world".
The writers really should have leaned into Marinette’s Chat Blanc Trauma way more, would make the story a lot more interesting and add a decent bit more character depth for Marinette

The fact that Chat Noir gave Marinette a pink rose. (Weredad) As i used to work as a florist I know. (Been a long time since i left the job) screams “he is starting to fall Marinette.” Heres why.
Pink roses symbolize gratitude, grace, and joy. Its somewhat shows you have admiration for someone. It could also mean innocent romantic love. Pink roses represent a beautiful, fresh love and a pureness of emotion.
And also did you know, a number of roses mean something from 1 to a whole basket of them.
And since Adrien/Chat brought one rose, he is ACTUALLY in love with Marinette as it means “love at first sight.”
And if he brought 5 pink roses, which would’ve mean, that Marinette is special to him as he mentioned a couple of times. Which also means she is a very special friend.

To me, we don’t have to really worry about Akuma’s effecting the superhero group. Ladybug got a power upgrade; which gives her the ability to give an object (or a charm, whatever it is) too someone, which gives the person the ability to never get akumatized. Personally, this is why I think Mari told Ayla, saying that she can resist it on her *own*, AND Mari now has the Akuma protecting thing now!

For the sake of Marinette's mental health, I'm glad that she has told someone about her double life and it is someone she trusts. I understand for safety reasons, super heroes have to keep their identities a secret but Marinette has been under so much pressure for a teen. She deserves to have a normal life and not worry about the fate of the world. It's unfair! She should not have to do this alone. But I wonder as the series progress, will more people find out that she is Ladybug? Her other girl friends, parents, Luka, and/or Adrien? Will they learn the secret? Now that Alya knows that Marinette is Ladybug, does that mean that she will come to find out about Lila's lies? Could there be any consequences whatsoever to Alya knowing now? Even though for the most part, I've stopped watching the show all together in season 3 and refuse to see the New York special, I am curious about future season 4 episodes.
I think this is the set up for an episode were chat uncovers that Ladybug has told her identity to someone with a following struggle of trust between the 2.
Talking about chat noir, tough i don’t think they are planning to develop him this way, it would be great if they played the longer game with his development. Ladybug gradually achieving a status of total leadership in the team (something she did not have in season 1), he not being the first to know her identity, his father being hawkmoth and he having much bigger problems (marinette is just having more stressful moments, Adrian has a deep personality crisis) his breakdown (if it will happen) will happen later but will be much bigger

Believe or not there is a central theme that links this episode to their first time akumitizations. It’s betrayal.
Lady WiFi happened because she was feeling betrayed by the school for being unjust. Timebreaker happened because Alix felt like she betrayed her family history. Reflekta betrayed by classmates same with Princess Fragrance and Horrificator.
Now with this episode Alya felt betrayed by her best friend. Which connects to Mylene’s disappointment which connects to Rose’s sadness which connects to Juleka’s desire to help her brother and that links in with Alix desperation to prevent it at any cost. All those emotions are linked by Betrayal. And in truth Marinette has to betrayed herself and Luka. And in Lies Kagami betrayed Adrien. 3 episode all focused on betrayal. Even furious fu also fits

No, they only are able to keep transformed when they’re adults, which is 18 years old. They are still 15.
@Steven Winderlich Yeah that’s what I meant. You only don’t detransform 5 minutes after using your power if you’re an adult (18 years old and up). But you were always able to detransform whenever without using powers.
It’s talked about in a few episodes. I know it is definitely talked about in Time Tagger.
If they didn’t follow through with this it would be a bigggg plot hole.
They are growing and in gang of secrets we saw that after she came after swimming she didnt dstransform untill the kwamis reminded her and she also said that her life is too complicated anf that she should be ladybug all the time and she can be cuz shes old enough
@Fun With Nandini! Marinette is 15. In France, you’re not an adult until you’re 18. So no, she’s not old enough. She’s “growing” but not by that much. Character development is different from actually physically growing up. In Time Tagger they say you only don’t transform back after five minutes if you’re an adult. Marinette isn’t an adult yet. If Miraculous is now doing this, then it’s a plot hole in their writing and they screwed up the lore. Simple as that. Wouldn’t be the first time.
If she’s Ladybug all the time but doesn’t use her powers, yeah, she can be Ladybug all the time. But it doesn’t actually work like that if she does use her powers.

Nobody has guessed who the season 4 secret villian is but its going to be someone from season 1
this episode was amazing and as said in video a very important one. I think wayz is responsible for the box as he was for fu too. cause in episode furious fu he said he was decided to help fu protecting the miraculous box. this new box might look hi tech but it uses the same principles of the former one. I think it was really important for storyline that alya knew ladybug identity first and I think that was the main timeline that had to happen in first place and chat blanc incident changed it. I think alya will be the person responsible to tell chat and ladybug their secret identities

About Juleka's speech regression, Juleka only speaking in mumbles is only a gag in the French version, so we'll probably be able to hear what she's saying in the English dub
I feel the fox could be the most powerful becuase if you have a big imagination and do things like Mysterio did in Spider-Man you could defeat almost any villain or if if they're not defeated they're going to be incredibly confused whether anything is real.

Or that he has feelings for Tikki or in his case sugarcube with these scenes I mean think about it first if kwamies are what makes it’s owner have a different personality like with how plagg makes Adrien have this more relaxed and flirty personality which is why he tries to flirt with ladybug so it’s basically like a plagg x Tikki in human form second when Tikki said kwamies don’t fall in love she looked pretty sad probably wishing that they could like even though her red cheeks I could see a bit of a blush probably because she was thinking about the times plagg tried to hit on her third in episode sandboy when plagg meets up with Tikki he decides to flirt with her calling her sugarcube which she says she finds annoying but I think he calls her sugarcube because he thinks she’s sweet like sugar because of her kind hearted, supportive, inspirational, and helpful personality and how she always looks on the bright side of things not to mention that little sweet tooth she has like for cookies, macaroons, ice cream, and cake speaking of ice cream does anyone remember that ice cream marinette fed tikki what was the top flavor it was green for green eyes and since ladybug and cat noir are partners then there’s only one kwami that has green eyes and is cat noir’s kwami and that’s plagg and also in the same episode when Tikki was talking to sass plagg looked so jealous in that scene
Actually, watching this made me think about how dangerous it would be for Tikki to use her power outside of the miraculous. It could literally make anything, tho since there'd be a consequence I'd say that it would probably be something terrible. What makes this worse is the randomness of it, which could have the potential to cause more damage than when Plagg uses his power outside of the miraculous.
this episode was realy good i was not expecting marinette to revele her identity because of the show's format so yeh but they realy deliverd for the first time in my life a miraculous episode suprised me from begining to end
I agree that it's best that Alya was told first instead of anyone else, Chat included since Marinette not only needed a friend she trusts but one she has an easier line of communication with (among other reasons)

I also have a theory on why alya was able to break free of the akuma in addition to the power of friendship thing is because since the akuma wasnt actually on her (she was just emotionally connected to it) it had a weaker hold on her. And those two things worked together to make it that she could break free. It would be interesting to see if this could be done again on a person with the akuma actually on them.

I like how each bead of the akumatised friendship bracelet has the design of each akumatised villain it was.
While Alya breaking the akumatisation is ground breaking, perhaps the akumatisation link isn’t as strong as the person with the actual akumatised object would be. Since it was mentally linked from the beginning, it took a mental break so physically holding it could mean a physical break.
Maybe Wayzz was there when Master Fu made his own box, so he could help Mari make hers.

Luckily for the story line the producers and most of the channels want to release the rest of the episode in order, not when thier ready. But one channel has already planned to relax at least two more episodes coming soon being released in readiness order. Episode 7 the final half of a two parter and episode 11. But after this it will not be untill the fall until we are confirmed to have other episodes.

As I'm typing this, I just finished watching the first 3 episodes of season 4 and so far, I'm really enjoying it. I appreciate that the story is finally taking things more seriously and realistic. I love where they're going with the plot at the end of episode 3 where Marinette tells Alya her identity.
we have seen this kind of akumatization happen before, with Zombizou. She wasn't actually in contact with the lipstick, but it was still connected to her emotionally so it affected her.
I'm gonna be honest, I feel like Alya knew from day one. Setting aside the episode "Truth" where it seems that she doesn't, the way she acts just says she knows. Also, in "Origins, part 2" Alya gets trapped by a car with a full view of Marinette when Mari puts on the earrings, has a conversation with Tikki, and transforms in broad daylight in the middle of the road. Now even if she didn't see, cuz let's be honest, a car weighing on you will make you at least squint, she definitely heard Marinette talking to someone about being Ladybug and then yelling: "Tikki spots on". Also, Alya is basically MJ with more social skills so for her not to have figured it out is just complete bs. Even her reaction to the reveal feels weak compared to how the biggest fan of Lb would react to figuring out her best friend is the hero, you could argue that Mari needed her emotionally that's why she didn't react too much but I doubt that.

this concludes the plot line of alya trying to find out ladybugs secret identity which was set up back in season 1. alya finding out first makes perfect since because chest Marinette /ladybugs closest friend besides cat noir and plus che was the other character in show besides cat noir who wanted to find out ladybugs secret identity more badly then anyone else.
kind of odd seeing Cat Noir actually being able to hold his own against 3 akumatized villains at once. After seeing Alya take him down within literal seconds I guess I just kind of forgot that Cat Noir can actually fight competently when the script actually calls for it
I saw on twitter that thomas said it was like a gag that she would always mumble and that the english dub "Ruin the character" or something because they actually made her speak.
According to Thomas Astruc on Twitter, Juleka was never supposed to talk, only mumble, and her talking in the English dub was a "Script error"
Oh my God okay at that reveal at the end I was low-key crying because it just was just what I expected from the show plus I think her being the first one to find out is a good choice and how I kind of expected the show to go but still it does not mean I wasn't crying

I feel like all the changes for s4 are cuz they reslized their main audience is a lot older than they originslly thought. And I am 100% living for all this new development with mari and showing how hard it is for her to deal with everything and that shes not perfect.
I'm watching this on TV right now and I do have to say, it's absolutely stupid that Marinette didn't get Akumatized but her friends did. She was fully depressed to the point of avoiding everyone, her mental health was at an all time low due to her break up, and she was willing to give herself up to Shadow Moth to no longer have to deal with all these secrets. People have been Akumatized in this show for small bouts of sadness so why on earth did Shadow Moth not sense her extremely negative headspace? It just doesn't make any sense to me and was a major missed opportunity.

Also i feel like the reason mari told alya is more than just because she is her best friend. Mari told alya not because she needed to *tell* someone but because she wanted someone to understand what she is going through and being there for her. She has chat on her side when shes ladybug and she needs someone by her side as mari too. So it made sense for her to tell this to alya. Telling chat wouldnt really help her with this particular problem because chat already understands her and her role of the guardian etc. Remember the last scene of lies when they say they can only trust eachother? She didnt need to reveal her identity for chat to understand her. But she did for alya. And thats clearly what mari needed this episode. A friend.
