Always gets me irritated when someone brings up the idea that Mari is “the poor baker girl in love with the rich boy” when it’s obvious she’s extremely rich as well lol.
This! She is SO freaking privileged and it's so nauseating when fans act like she's some under dog lol Marinette is not very relatable when you actually think about it!
Which means her parents' appartement irl would be among the most expensives in Paris, which is already a very expensive city no matter in which part you live.
Haven't seen the show proper, and maybe it's unfair of me to judge this aspect by a handful of scenes taken out of context, but I keep looking at the way Paris is represented and being "???". Like, I guess _some_ scenes would ring true in _some_ parts of the city, and the fact that it's a positive depiction that foreign kids may want to latch onto is actually pretty sweet, don't get me wrong. But as a local I've found myself thinking "what's happening, what is this parody of a French city/person?" more than once. I know, superhero kid's show and all, it's not like cultural nuance was supposed to be at the forefront or even a requirement, but sometime it feels like it's being written by an enthusiastic tourist who's really jazzed about the lovely trip to Paris they've had and wanted to tell the rest of the world about it (and more power to them!) rather than a team involving actual French people. :D (and yep, you're definitely on-point with this! The architecture and pple having generational wealth are pretty strong hints)
@@Maradrafts bit unrelated but it was always weird to me just how EMPTY miraculous's depiction of Paris is. especially in scenes where the Eifel towedr is in because you're telling me that this huge city with a big population that has one of the biggest worldwide tourist attractions has ZERO crowds?? and some school girls can just rent out the tower for some middle school dance???? what kind of fantasy Paris is this
@@chorryflower Haha, definitely! And I think "fantasy" is a very apt word... Didn't know about them renting out the Eiffel Tower for a school dance, but that's out there with being an actual superhero in the "scenarios that wouldn't happen in real life" category as far as I'm concerned. :D (Being curious, I just checked - apparently you can rent out the Eiffel Tower if you want to put it in a movie... for a small fee of 8,000-10,000 eur. a day. As for event hosting, there seems to be a single hall available for rent (about 185 eur/half-day/person - 200 eur/day/person, if the info I was able to find is correct). So it's not entirely a dreamland scenario but would absolutely serve as more proof that these kids are filthy rich). And yeah! The lack of people going around is pretty noticeable... I'm guessing crowds are way harder to animate and more people would mean more characters to design in general, but it was pretty weird for me to see as someone who's mildy agoraphobic and has thought "Wow, this narrow street has NOT been designed for so many people to pass through it at the same time" on numerous occasions while out and about in there. ^^;
You know what, this explains why everyone believes Lila whenever she says she knows celebrities. All of the kids in that school interact with celebrities on a regular basis, so it makes sense for her classmates to believe her when she pretends she saved Jagged Stone's kitten or had dinner with Prince Ali or whatever.
Marionette’s parents have an entire apartment building to themselves, one with an unobstructed view of Notre Dame. That all by itself is tens of millions of Euro worth of family wealth. And Adrien, assuming his mom was officially declared dead, is already an actual millionaire, as he gets 50% of his mom’s wealth (and she was Old Money) on her death, and that’s not even counting any shenanigans that Gabe may be playing using Adrien as part of a tax dodge.
Okay, I just pictured Ladybug and Cat Noir finally getting Monarch arrested for tax fraud, ala Al Capone, and I couldn't stop laughing for five minutes.

The opening lyric sure doesn't work anymore, yeah Marinete is "just a normal girl with a normal life", with parents who work in a famous bakery that is probably the most famous in the city, grandparents that are talented and a uncle who participated in a cooking competition and has his own restaurant. And let's not forget that she goes to a amazing school where everyone likes her and she was elected class president, meets famous people and even make friends with them, designed an album cover for a famous musician, won a design competition and had her work praised by a woman who is a fashion icon and even wanted to take her to New York and work on her career. In the French version, she actually says which means “a girl like the others” which makes a lot more sense, because she IS like the others; “others” here being her other rich and high society friends.

Maybe Thomas Astruc doesn’t know what a normal life is lmao Let’s not forget she has an overwhelmingly positive social life. At least 4 guys have developed crushes on her. @@soniakate6077 I mean, she's kind of an asshole. Like, she isn't mean like Chloé is for example. “Timmy is an average kid that no one understands.” Early seasons of fairly odd parents did this trope better. Timmy lived in the suburbs, in a one story house, mom a real estate agent, dad working for a pencil company if I remember correctly? His grades were let’s say not as good as Marinette’s, who was mentioned having “A” grades though she is a part time hero. One friend lived in a trailer park. The “nerdy” friend was smart but didn’t go around building hi-tech robots. Crocker the underpaid teacher lived with his mom. Meanwhile Marinette season 1 has a “field trip” at a prestigious hotel where her bully “punishes” her by having her spend the day with a rockstar. It’s laughably untrue how “average” Marinette is! Edit: Changed “C student” to “grades not as good as Marinette’s.”

No, you're absolutely right and I've been thinking about this for AGES. Marinette's family is definitely loaded compared to the average person; and the amount of connections she's "miraculously' accumulated is the nail in the coffin. Her family is doing more than fine, they cater to all of those events and probably make a lot of bank considering those events are also filled with hella rich people. Almost all of Marinette's friends are also loaded or made connections of their own. I mean, this is exceptionally dark, but Roses family has to be doing pretty well considering they're paying for her medical bills, and I'm sure that adds up. Not to mention the fact that Rose still keeps in contact with Prince Ali, who is also probably mega rich. Max is going to be elon musk, and Alix's dad is a museum curator which is HUGE-- not that it matters much for her because time doesn't apply, and she can do whatever she wants. The only people who are more up in the air are Nathaniel, Ivan, Mylene, Nino and Kim. Nathaniel is starting a webcomic, which will probably blow up if ladybug endorses it. Ivan we know nothing about, nor do we know about kim. But kim will probably be an Olympic gold medalist in the future. Nino is a DJ and by the sound of it has done several events-- and if they were hurting for cash his family wouldn't let him be a DJ. I will stand by this till the day I die, but they all go to a goddamn private school because the amassed wealth of everyone attending would make the thought of it being a public school a joke. They doubled down HARD on the whole Chole calling marinette "poor" the last two seasons probably to detract from the fact that Marinette is very much privileged as all hell. Not to mention the whole "upper society" part of paris being like "ew poor baker girl." Despite the fact they probably wouldn't even need to bake if they didn't want to. They could just live off of all the savings.
not only to mention, sabrina is the daughter of the police chief, definitely not as rich as chloe but still rich. max's mom is literally going to be an astronaut which is a huge deal since going to space is so exclusive. Even Alya! her family's apartment literally has like 4 bedrooms, and is decently big especially in the heart of the city, would be worth soooo much money.
i agree with everything except the medical bills since it's not america maybe it's dire enough to not be covered by taxes but i wouldn't know anything about that
idk where you live medical bills in france aren't like the medical bills here in the U.S lol. We have one of the most expensive healthcare systems on Earth... The one in France is 1000x cheaper. We are just so used to the pro-capitalism of this country....people in Europe don't spend or pay $10,000 to be in the hospital for one night.

I’m average, and my own flat is like her living room. And it cost me a lot. Can’t imagine how much they paid, while they are in a fancy arrondissement compared to mine.

At this point you can't tell me that Marinette doesn't have a mary-sueish life. You can make fanfiction, replace Marinette with Y/N and you won't know the difference. How many "normals" kids actually got to meet famous people and be friends with them?
Well the only reason Mari even got to design that rock stars glasses was because the mayor gave her that Job, after chloe messed with the class job list.
I mean maybe but does that mean everybody with rich parents is a "Mary Sue"? I've never understood why people like to shame kids that come from rich parents. Not their fault their parents were smart.
@@kainightshade5033 I'm not saying everyone who has rich parents is a "Mary Sue" but Marinette's life is "Mary Sue"-ish. Besides her obsessive with Adrien and her stalker tendencies, you can make a Mary Sue character based on her in a fanfiction and you couldnt really tell the difference.
@@nisie_neri Aside from her graduating from her obsessive ways (yay! 🎓) That's probably true. I think this is just a case of the writers needing writer's workshop 😂 Marinette has never been poor. Thats how imperialist-capitalist media wants you to see reality. THEIR reality. Where everyone has money, is beautyful, happy and "middle class" and everyone who defies the status-quo or who is poor, is an enemy/terrorist or a freeloading loser.
I like to think that Marinette saying she's just a normal girl with a normal life is more about perspective than an actual fact. What is perceived as 'normal' to one individual, could be completely different to another individual. Considering the people Marinette is surrounded with, maybe to her, that _is_ normal, even if it isn't so normal to us. She only considers people with a wealthy status if they are filthy rich like Chloe and Adrien, while for her, she's more of a middle class and financially stable. And that since her super hero life isn't something she grew up with and see it as 'normal', to her, that is abnormal and different. That's just my two cents on the whole 'just a normal girl with a normal life' statement.

The creators did Adrien and Marinette the complete opposite of each other. While they're hellbent to make Adrien as perfect as possible, just like they and everyone in the show been saying every season, to the point of unrealistic, the creators didn't even try to make Marinette normal in any way 😂
The thing is, Adrian is the one with realistic issues: mother missing, neglectful father, having to keep a perfect public image as part of the company, while masking his deep insecurities...

Honestly I found Adrian the most relatable character. He also shows that having a lot of wealth doesn’t necessarily mean your ‘privilleged’ per say because even though his dad is rich he doesn’t have the privilege of a mom, a present dad, the ability to have a good social life, etc, etc.
@@demonbunny6555 Yeah I also relate more with him because I also felt bad when my parents forbade me to do anything (not like Gabe lol) also I don't have so many good friends like Marri also I struggle to commiunicate with people I mean I found Marri perfect in many ways more than Adrien
That moment where the supposedly less relatable character that the writers didn't even intend to write them as relatable is more relatable than the protagonist that they want you to actually relate? The writers of the show are so terrible at writing characters, I stfg. Like how on earth do you mess up that badly? XD
Personally I’m surprised not everybody in Paris is homeless. It’s so hard to find and rent an apartment there. And that’s about renting, these kids apparently have their own homes. A good example of an average Parisian (until he ended up rich) is Alfredo Linguini. He applied for a job as a cleaner, yet barely got the job. He desperately cried saying he needs that job. And his apartment was incredibly small yet he was lucky to have a view to the Eiffel Tower.
The thing is, you also have established families who bought houses and appartement before inflation and when it was cheap. Which is the case for many parisian
Percy Jackson has ADHD and dyslexia, had an abusive step-dad, was poor, learned from his mistakes, got bullied, and held regrets about deaths he thought he had caused, and his fatal flaw almost killing him on multiple occasions. Meanwhile Marinette is the daughter of an extremely rich family, is friends with incredibly famous people and gets slightly bullied by Chloe, and is popular at school. Who is more relatable to you?
And Percy struggled both on camp and in his School AND had trust in his friends but Marinete? Her grades arent low or isnt what seems and She barely trusts Cat Noir, who i prefer should be obvious
My opinion has changed a bit, he never really faced consequences for his actions. That’s a Mary Sue-ish type thing, but he’s more enjoyable than Creepynette. And for those who think I’m sexist, I’ll use Esther Harding as an example. She’s 15 years old, has the same privilege as Creepynette but she differs in the fact her lawyers are helping her family get their school back. (She’s descended from the founder of Harding-Pencroft). However, she struggles from Autism and she has to prove to others she can function well and that she’s not an idiot.
Even if we disregard Marinette’s family, it is very expensive to live in Paris for anyone. The school is also quite deceptive, much like the bakery. At first appearance, yes they don’t have uniforms, the interior isn’t anything fancy, BUT this apparent public school looks about the size of an average college campus. They’re in middle school and have their own fancy lockers and take what I assume to be expensive field trips on the regular. They have the tools to shoot music videos, an Olympic sized swimming pool, etc etc. Like everyone there has to be at least basic well off to go there because that’s a very fancy school, even if it’s not super posh.
Lol her house is a mansion by Paris standards. Parisian apartments are miniscule, with bedrooms the size of closets, but Marinette lives in a pretty large four-story building with a terrace. She's also starred in music videos, done artwork for a world-famous singer, and even got invited to do fashion design for a famous designer ... all at the age of 14. Marinette is hardly a poor "baker girl" - she's probably better off than like 98% of Parisians (not to mention, far more famous).
I’m making an AU where it’s outright stated that part of the reason Adrien and Marinette are chosen is because of their prestige and proximity to successful entrepreneurs, politicians, and celebrities.
Also, isn’t Paris expensive to live in? Also yes, she’s really well off and I’m somewhat convinced the school is a private school. Public schools do not look that nice typically and not all private schools have a uniform.
As far as I know, Paris is indeed expensive (at least the area where Marinette lives in). But the show's version of Paris looks more like a small town to me. Everyone knows everyone, the streets are clean and not too crowded, there aren't that many cars on the roads, it's rather quiet, most people are kind and polite,... That's quite an idealized version of Paris, so maybe it's cheaper too! XD As for the school, old buildings might sometimes be used for "common" things nowadays but they've kept their good old beauty. XD But I admit it can look abnormally stylish to some foreigners. Now does that contradicts the video? I don't think so. Marinette still seems quite gifted!
Just the fact that she has enough pocket money to afford such expensive hobbies and equipments, and not be pestered by her parents about it, is proof that she ain't your normal teenager
You forgot to mention where she lives. It's a 2-3 story house, classic style, NEXT TO THE NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL. She has a breathtaking view in one of the most expensive neighborhood of one of the most expensive city *on Earth*. That house must be worth MILLIONS of euros.
im not even upperclass but this is the modern society we're living in. Don't a lot of us use tablets? At least for 1st world countries. I mean it's not the 1960s anymore and tablets are more cost effective than various notebooks. I've been using the same school tablet for 4 years now. And France is a pretty developed country so I'm assuming they're keeping up with the changing times.
@Kat Greer I am from Canada and we don't use tablets. They only one that get to have that are the kids from private schools. And they have to pay for it.
Speaking as someone who has contact with actual French people, it's actually not that unrealistic for that to be a public school - there are just specific public schools in the richest parts of Paris that pretty much _all_ of France's highest level of politicians, public servants, and entrepreneurs have gone to for generations, that as a result are also generously supported by alumni donations and have close relationships with many institutions, companies and individuals with high standing in society. So, none of this is unrealistic. I don't know much about Astruc's upbringing, but I have a very strong suspicion that he went to a school like this, and just... never figured out that it _wasn't_ normal. Which, knowing several people like that, is unfortunately common and kind of a problem.
11:28 "A bunch of rich kids cosplaying" Well you know to think about it that's actually what describes the show the best😆 It's probably a good idea to have this sentence to be in the opening😌
Yeah.. the opening song is pretty outdated. Also, let’s not forget that Juleka’s and Luka’s Dad is a famous British Rock Star, Felix’s father is an American Billionaire, Chloe & Zoe’s parents are the mayor of Paris and Famous Fashion Designer and of course, Adrien’s parents is a world-class fashion designer and famous Actress. So yeah… most of the characters are all rich…. Even the main character!
Tbf they do all live in paris, and i assume that everyone living in paris is from the same tax bracket to one extent or another. So i like to imagine that she's just so detached from the rest of the world, especially in terms of wealth disparity, that she genuinely believes that she's normal. To me this is hilarious if true, so I'll stick with it. Dramatic rich kids who don't realize they're rich.
there is evidence that marinettes bakery is very successful. for example in the episode TROUBLE MAKER, at 2:43 ; the host Alec clearly says " and thanks to Tom Dupain for having us in his bakery *the best in Paris i might add* " so clearly marinette aint some normal girl living a normal life.
we dont blame you for the disclaimer, some of the fandom can be pretty braindead. someone blocked me on twitter for simply stating i didnt like the episode ephemeral so like
I have to say one thing: I'm a fan of MLBCN for 5 years, and I must say, that I have constantly thought about this theme, since I've always been interested in understanding how wealthy or not the characters I'm going to watch may be. I'm sorry if you've met MLBCN fans who are so closed-minded that they blocked you just because you didn't like a single episode (really, you can just say Sandboy is s**t even if it's still my favorite lol). I think that disclaimers can serve just for those people, or even simply because now in this period of time, it doesn't take much to unleash a spark of a drama, or spread hatred so much that by now no one knows what a criticism of an insult is (of whatever you're talking about). Btw my opinion of the video (always assuming that you want my opinion😅) is, apart from my mere curiosity to know how much their economic welfare is worth, I will dwell more on their character: and although each one has its defects in a way or another, I think that those who flex their wealth more or simply boast of it should be a bad character, in short, all things considered, they must remain humble anyway, like Adrien for an example. (it's not that if my family struggles to make ends meet, I hate Marinette or Alya, only because they are rich, maybe it can be rn). But if tomorrow I'll find out that Marinette or Adrien are the kind of person who won't make friends with just one because their family has a lot of economic difficulties, I'll start to despise them.
In general, I feel like the west tends to present upper class as middle class, and middle class as lower class* I haven't really seen proper working class/marginalised representation in kids shows apart from Hey Arnold, Ed Edd and Eddy, and Clarence. Even in the early simpsons I'd beleive they are upper working class, now they are straight up middle class, walking around with the latest iPhone.
I would have to say the worst thing about how people define the middle class in the west is how so many upper class people genuinely perceive themselves as middle class, simply because they’re not top 1% As a result, they completely erase the grievances and hardships of the actual working class and are completely divorced from what it’s actually like to grow up in a modest household where parents don’t earn 100-200k salaries. These people can become insulting tone deaf caricatures of the middle class, presenting themselves as if they’re apart of the oppressed working class when they ARE the rich. Compound this with the unrelenting nepotism of the big animation colleges that have degrees only the extremely wealthy could afford, like Calarts, that has its graduates disproportionately end up immediate showrunners (something that otherwise can take over a decade for animators to achieve) it makes sense why animation is almost exclusively reflecting the warped rich-kid perception of what lower and middle class lives actually are, like how in Miraculous Ladybug Chloe is the depiction of the rich kid (which is more than upper class, she’s the top 1%) and the rather wealthy upper class character like Marionette is being presented as the “average middle class” Everyman. The way the animation industry favours graduates from colleges only the wealthy can attend, it makes a lot of sense as to why those who have the lived experience to ACTUALLY depict middle and lower socioeconomic classes realistically aren’t ever getting the chance to be showrunners, or at least get it FAR less often.
@@Sanakudou You just perfectly explain modern class conflict in America, most of the so call middle class are just upper class twits who think they are working class because they can't afford private mansions or penthouse apartments in major cities. Since they all believe themselves to be somehow oppressed everyday workingmen, they always vote for politicians that past legislation that harms the actual working class.
...Why don't any of the parents just have normal jobs- Like how come none of the adults in this show do something like- work at a big corp and work in a little office cube?!
Tbh, I think that Miraculous really represents that habit of writers to make characters wealthy or to give them every opportunity in the world to make their stories more interesting. In this case, Astruc and the other Miraculous Writers made nearly every character that Marinette knows either famous or someone related to a famous person. It’s a very popular form of lazy writing. Instead of giving the character traits and plots that make them interesting, the writer instead takes the easy way out.
"Yeah really? You don't find a teenage girl from France relatable smarty pants?" me, who was a french teenager girl from a lower middle class family living in a parisian suburban town when I watched an episode of this show for the first time: "Yeah, that girl is giving big 'bourgeoise BCBG' energy, she's undeniably and definitely a rich kid living in the 16th district of Paris" Being the daughter of a baker doesn't necessarily mean she's in a lower social class: at a certain level, especially in France where expertise in luxury craftsmanship is greatly valued, a talented artisan can make a shit ton of money, likely even more than some highly paid desk job. One of my sister is a patissière, and she's never been out of job since she started working except for the few times she *chose* to, her skills are always in high demand and she worked in luxury hotels and in famed bakeries. She's at a point where she is financially comfortable enough to have her own flat, travel often and not worry for bills, and she's not even the owner of her own bakery or anything. Whereas another of my sisters is an engineer with a masters degree and is struggling a lot more when it comes to getting a job etc. And about the "public school" discourse, when it comes to PARISIAN public schools, for some of them, it is actually even more of a status symbol to attend them than to pay for a private school, because to be able to register in those schools you need to live nearby, something that is only possible if you can afford to have a home in a designated area (needless to say that you have to be really loaded to do so lol), so even if they are technically 'free public schools', they are nonetheless 'rich kids schools" anyways
Every story of a millionaire be like that, they said they live a middle class as a kid but actually live like Marinette as a kid, and praise themself for how genius they are to become millionaire by themself is hilarious.
i don't even think their apartment is that humble. her bedroom is bigger than the apartment i live in with a whole ass rooftop balcony. her attic room is quite literally everything i dreamed of as a kid when i had to share a room with my parents and later with my step-sister.
I always thought of Marinette as a millionaire with Dan Humphrey complex. You See, Dan from Gossip girl whines that he is poor every episode. Exept he's not. He lives in a big loft in Brooklyn, has another mansion that his mom lives in, he attends private school, he attends NYU that costs like 80,000 dollars per semester, his dad was a famous rockstar and he owns art gallery. Dan is super rich, but he thinks of humself as broke bc is surrounded by billionaires. Marinette is also delusional of her wealth. She lives in the centre of Paris, and have Notre Dame and Eiffel Tower as clear view from her window. I think her family even owns that whole apartament building since they reside on 3 levels and a roof. (IN THE CENTRE OF PARIS!). Her family owns the most famous bakery in the city and they do caterings for billionaire events. Her uncle is world-known cook that owns expensive restaurant in Shanghai. She attends a school for important people and others millionaires, and she has incredibly good social life. She's friends with top-stars and is on magazine covers. Marinette is rich rich rich. She just thinks of herself as poor bc the likes of Adrien, Kagami or Chloe are billionaires with talking cars.
I once had a theory that the school actually was a private one, but then Mayor boujous wouldn't have so much power over it, so it fell apart very quickly. Unless someone else can think of a good reason why he's seen as a possible threat if the school is public? Another reason it's probably public is the class sizes, a private school would likely have smaller classes.
Considering Chloe goes there, it's probably private. His control over the school likely comes from a mix of the prestige that having Chloe there brings, him being able to ruin the school by sharing to the news and justice whatever dirt he may have on the school and giving the school big donations
Parisian Public Schools can actually be super prestigious. Very old and in very wealthy parts of town, so almost everyone who goes there is rich and the school is very highly well-funded. It’s not that unrealistic.
Not to mention the bakery does wedding cakes, which are usually pretty pricey. Probably even more so in Paris. I hope the new movies do a better job of showing that she's normal.
I think this is a common theme for many cartoons. Where did the money come from for Dexter’s laboratory? All the equipment used by the Power Puff Girls famous professor dad? The tuition for the exclusive magic school for the Winx Club lead Bloom? Not to mention they must have a certain amount of money to rub shoulders with the rich and famous regularly. Trips to interesting exotic locals are not cheap.
Where does Bloom's tuition come from? Because originally she was impersonating another girl. It's also treated in the first couple of episodes that Earth is so archaic compared to Magix, so improbable that any of Earth's currency is legal tender there.
As far as I remember from the early seasons, Bloom and the rest of the fairies don't have to pay tuition. It's like Harry Potter, they find out you're magical and they invite you to Alfea. Of course, she does rub shoulders eventually with 2 princesses like Stella and Aisha/Layla and she is dating Prince. Oh let's not forget she is the lost princess of a very powerful kingdom, that was albeit at the start frozen or some sht.
I agree with you! Marinette and her family are pretty well off. The high end client list of the bakery, the connections to celebrities, the school which I think is private, but the thing that catches my curiosity the most as far as money goes is how much this girl spends on fabric!!! Fabric is not cheap!!! She makes tons of costumes, designs and then the gifts for Adrien! I would love to know her monthly expenses for all that!
Marinete’s home does look kinda modest in the main area, but that tower set up she has with all that sewing and designing material makes me think they’re definitely well off. And what exactly is the bakery and apartment layout? There’s obviously a lot of floors, with the bakery at the ground and Marinete's tower at the top, but how many exactly? There’s the kitchen and living room area, which is connected to a hallway where sometimes we see other doors, but are those other tenants? Utility rooms? Storage? Heck, where do her parents sleep? And how quickly can they get to the bakery in case something happens? Also, my family knows people that are pretty rich compared to the area, but most don’t really flaunt it. One guy is over 100, made solid investments and stock market options, and his family down to the great-grand kids are pretty set. Humble guy though who is the sweetest old man ever and still lives in his 2/3 bed one floor home. A few people are farmers and ranchers, so they have figured out the markets and can make a decent penny. Also tend to just live in nice and simple houses or move out to the country cause they either own the land or bought it cheap. So yeah, you can sometimes never tell someone’s financial status at a quick glance, but putting the pieces together does help ya form the big picture.
honestly I think that even their house proves they are rich. Regardless of whether they own it or if they're renting, a building that's at least 3 story high (because one floor is the bakery, one floor is Marinette's room and we've seen a couple scenes in another room, like a living room, that is not on either floors). The sheer fact that they have enough space to give a whole ass studio apartment to their daughter, with a rooftop balcony with sight to the Eiffel tower? In the center of Paris?
I agree. She is not a normal girl with a normal life. I do believe that she probably believes that she is, though. Why wouldn't she? That is the life she knows. It's all she has ever known, and it's not like she knows anyone who has less than she does. Compared to Chloe and Adrian, she is bottom of the barrel. Considering all of that and adding in that her parents don't flaunt their wealth, pluss she is only 14. It is reasonable to accept that Marrinette believes the way she lives is normal, adverage middle class.
...I never thought of her like a normal girl, I thought it was just a PR line: "We are relatable". I've honestly thought since the start that this is a rich kid school that gives out scholarships for those who can't afford it. Because with how much everyone just throws money out the door and don't bat an eye at other people's stuff, I thought it was obvious. I mean, Kim bought a freaking gold broach with giant rubies in it just to ask Chloé out, and the only reaction the others had was "whoever you give this will love it!"
Thank God, I knew I wasn't crazy for thinking Marinette wasn't just or even close to being a 'normal girl with a normal life'. I mean the word normal has a lot of meanings but the most used or referred to is something close to ordinary were as there's a generalized meaning and relative because we are normal in those two senses but when we're talking about miraculous, let's just say they are trying to rub in our face the lie that she is normal but even before you go to her parents place in society or her connections to high profile people or children of such, her stalkerish tendency and overdone awkwardness and craziness, we could say that she wasn't the normal in sense term but the 'this is the life I grew up with and I live and deal with' but trying to make it the one we can relate to. Yeah fat chance.
I remember someone saying that there was no way that gabriel "only the best for my son, he must be perfect" agrest would let adrian go to anything but a very prestigious school. Probably private too since I highly doubt gabriel would be ok with just anyone knowing and influencing his son.
No, You are right and should say it. These kids are insanely well connected for middle schoolers. Half of Marinette's class have parents or relatives in VERY prestigious or powerful positions in PARIS. Seriously not only does she personally know and have a past with the MAJOR'S DAUGHTER (who is also the daughter of A REALLY famous fashion designer) her other classmates include people who are the children of a head chef of what i remember being mentioned one of the most premier hotels in Paris. And the sheer fact that these kids get contact with some of the most famous people is telling. I can tell you the most famous people i met at that age where local tv personalities and a Miss America. I didn't meet freaking Bill Gates or Merrill Streep. And Hell I grew up in a rich fucking area comparatively. I attended one of the richer schools in THE STATE. I honestly find it harder to believe that its not some type of private school or prep school as it seems why too good off to be a public school. But im also use to incredibly shitty schools in America. After all I honestly find it hard to believe at all that Gabriel would allow Adrien to go to just ANY school. Even after allowing him to attend a normal school instead of being home schooled. He seems like the type to put his son in a private school where he could ensure the best education. The same with Chloe as Andre and Audrey do not seem like they would allow their daughter to rub shoulders with 'lessers.'
Marionette's apartment should've been much smaller like an egg, with a bunch of the bakery's equipments around the place taking space of their apartment. Her parents should constantly be mentioned how they are struggling with the bills and mentioned how they have to save for the month, if they wanted to keep a middle class vibe for Marionette
To be fair, I've recently watched the Shanghai movie and it is explicitly stated that her parents have been saving up money for whenever Mari would wish to get in touch with her roots. I've heard that the chinese value family so much they will pool money to buy the younger generation a place to live, so maybe that's how they afforded such a nice place. I think because Mari is a single child, she would get more pocket money than usual, AND there's always a possibility that she does commissions off screen which would be another way for her to get some extra income.
OH!!! I just realized Chloe acts as if she is from new money by flaunting her wealth. That's very unlike Kagami, who definitely has multigenerational wealth behind her, and behaves as if she is from old money. Adrien also seems to act like he is from old money too, though I'm not sure about multigenerational wealth on that front. Though Gab also acts like old money, but some instances in the show makes me think otherwise and maybe he married into it and learned how to be from Emilie. May I am going crazy with my speculating here. Anyway, I've heard that people of old money also aren't very accepting people of new money, too. There is definitely clashing of the Bourgeois (namely Chloe and her mother), and the rest of main and side ultra rich character families in the story. I don't think the show needs that dynamic or anything like that, I just think it's interesting to think about.
Because Chloe is New Money. Her dad is the mayor (in most places mayors hold up like, 4 years of mandate, but let's say he had 2 mandates or whatever, he surely hasn't been the mayor all his life and being a mayor pays a lot but not enough to have generational wealth unless their whole family used to all be mayors of Paris idk, but that's not how elections work) and her mom is a fashion designer (and while yes, you can be a fashion designer nepo baby, you can also work in the industry so it's somewhat hard to figure out if she has generational wealth). They also have their hotel to profit off but considering they're in central Europe, if they were Old Money they'd be living in a castle, not a hotel. So yeah, Chloe is definitely New Money. Kagami and Adrien (alongside Felix, I support the theory that Emilie's family was Old Money) are both Old Money. Maybe Gabe married into it, maybe he was New Money and married into Old Money, but these families are definitely posh.
I knew she was rich af the second I saw her room like she gets an entire floor of the house AND a rooftop balcony with an unobstructed view of…idk what it was exactly but I think you could see the Eiffel Tower from there? ALL TO HERSELF.
Marinette's House is all I need to look at It's essentially a 4 story house with the bottom floor serving as the bakery but the whole house has ascending stairs that lead to each floor. The 1st floor is supposed to be the parent's room, the 2nd is living room, and the third is Marinette's room. Yes Marinette room is essentially a attic converted into a loft but 1 whole floor for parent's room? 1 whole floor for just the living room and personal kitchen space? And they get a roof top balcony? Now that I look at pictures that room isn't even an attic. It has high enough ceiling that Marinette's bed is a loft. When you look at shots of a whole room Marinette has a studio apartment. Just one wall has enough space for her make up armour and her work desk and her loft bed. And that's not even the whole wall.
Her life seems normal when everyone else in her school are kids from famous people/rich. Also in the Shanghai special weren't they saving money for a very long time? And all the babysitting and clothes marinette does definitely makes her some money
on the Shanghai special you are correct, they saved money for long time to when she would want to go visit her mothers heritage place If I recall correctly
I am pretty privileged. Not like the rich rich kind of privileged, but we got to build a house in a neighbourhood with businessmen and stuff. But trust me, when you grow up with kids that earn tons of money... you feel poor. Until I changed schools I thought I was literally poor just to realize that no, what we have and buy is pretty damn expensive. So I wouldn't be surprised if they all were in denial.
As someone who went to public school that is NOT a public school lol yes all these kids are in the wealthy category. The school fees alone would mean they'd need to be, I'm glad someone said it cause I couldn't be stuffed making a video but noticed it pretty quickly and it's so funny hearing a rich a kid go "I'm just your average girl" no huni no your not. You do have struggles but you're no where near average.
Not to mention Marc and Nathaniel are literally comic book writers who talk to producers often, meaning they also have to have connections. Unlike the others though it seems they formed those connections themselves with their own talent and hard work and not through parents.
Oh I agree with this except for the school (which according to Google Parisian teens go to the one in their neighborhoods). All of them are pretty well off but to live in the center of Paris you’ve gotta be pretty well off!
honestly, i know this is a show about paris so in reality if she was poor she would not be living where she is. She is super close to all major buidlings, landmarks and very famous relics so her house (even if it was passed down through the generations) would be worth millions. Finally great to see other people thinking the same things
Oh... She's rich. I guess compared to the other people around her, she might think she's normal financially. So maybe she is normal from her point of view. But I agree completely with you, she'll never work 2 full jobs to afford her first apartment to take care of her young family. Maybe I'm projecting lol yeah, I definitely am
I'm glad that you made this because it's TRUE! I realized a while ago that literally no one in this show is actually poor or even middle class, BECAUSE they live in the heart of a major city PARIS. If you're walking distance from all the big attractions and live comfortably downtown, you're not poor. Of course there are Parisians IRL who are struggling and not rich, but that's the part tourists don't see...and likewise, this show presents a very sanitized version of the real city.
I remember hearing something like this back when season 1 was airing. Also, if her parents bakery is the most successful, then I can no longer picture Monarch going to every bakery in Paris when the kwamies told him to ‘follow the smell of croissants’
Even rich child could go to public school. In Paris, that’s not an issue because of the « carte scolaire »: if you live in a certain area, you have to go to a certain school. So, when the place is expensive, only rich peoples (And a little bit or poor with « logements sociaux ») go to the school for this area. It’s public but with different standards. And « conservateur de musée » is between 1700 and 4000€ per month. But it’s quite a prestigious position, difficult to have with a competition (40 chosen between 1000).
I hope the show address this in a very tongue in cheek way. Like have an episode where Marinette and her classmates visits Marinette's summer house outside of Paris and it turns out to be a massive mansion. That would be hilarious lol.
The other characters are gonna be rich in their future too, Nino is most likely gonna marry alya, meaning he shared the money her mum earns, and Marc and Nathaniel are most likely going to be famous comic writers
It wouldn't make any sense for her to be going to a normal school considering chloe goes there and tha gabe allows adrian to go to thos specific school it must be like the absolute best school in Paris if not all of France bc both 9t them could just travel by get to much better places (maybe even in the uk or America)
Too bad that according to miraculous there are like only 30 people who live in Paris so Mari's choices who to hang out every episode are pretty limited
I dont think anyone’s mentioned yet that the ENTIRE CLASS was able to afford an abroad trip to NY for not a short amount of time. That’s $7k MINIMUM each for a school trip
Let's not also forget marinette babysits the daughter of a tv reporter and while i don't know for certain if nadja pays marinette for babysitting manon she could have as very well done so (oh wait now rewatching it and he said that I guess i didn't catch that the first few times i watched this video)
I don’t know if it is a private school but I like to think of francious dupon highschool as a somewhat prestigious high school considering the students there
Also, she makes her own clothes, accessories, hats, bags, special lockboxes for her things. Do you know how expensive the materials are for those types of things? I mean, just for the clothes alone the material for a shirt, depending on the quality could easily run $30/YARD, and you need multiple yards depending on what you make. The smallest amount i've seen for a shirt was 1 1/2 yards, and it was a CROP TOP! And that's not even taking into account of if she needs any interfacing, threads, or notions for her projects! (the notions and threads I can write off, you do a hobby for long enough and you'll build up a collection) But to quote Chloe "It's ridiculous, utterly ridiculous"!
Spiderman : hide his secret identity and fulfill his uncle's promise Superman : hide his secret identity and protecting metropolis Ladybug : hide her secret identity and *stalk a rich kid she had crush on every single day*
THIS! I never really understood why some people called Mari-Sue a "baker girl" as a kind of insult. However, aren't bakers in France considered royalty there? France is known for their amazing foods, especially from the bakeries there. These bakers work their asses off to create the most amazing pastries, breads, etc. in the world, they train meticulously with some of the most prestigious cooking and baking schools located in France. And this show is set in PARIS, the most famous place for French baked goods! It's hard enough being a baker in France, so having a long-standing bakery in one of the most expensive areas in the mecha of all things French is a huge accomplishment! If Mari-Sue is a baker girl, she would be worshipped as a goddess (as if Astruc doesn't do this already) among her peers just so that they could try some of her family's baked goods! Then again, this is from my "American lower-middle class African American autistic woman living in Louisiana trying to pay for $900+ small apartment rent who's barely even watched this show" view of this scenario.
Thats why i love kim possibles theme song. its selfaware that, no she is a power antasy and not normal, but also a teenage girl. Which is like a big parto the how, and rons. But thats in the opning song that is very tongue in cheek and yeah makes it clear the show is aware her family is feakish over the top talented. and it aplies to her emoional lie, not the superheroics. Ok comparing it to kim possible how miuch selaware and lampshding miraculous hould be to make it sense in the show. Alo ron works at a fastfood chain, sooo. hell even kim does at a time.
The more you break things down, the more I'm convinced that Astruc had some unresolved childhood issues that overtly fuel the characters in this show. Chloe has got to be based on a rich kid who turned Astruc down for a date and from then on was 'wrong' and 'evil' in his eyes. Adrien and Marinette are some OTP stand-ins in this weird little fanfiction, and some of these writing choices are literally just a bipolar's nightmare. Kuro Neko for instance. Literally has two overtly stated reasons for the plot. Neither one of them is resolved. I think the early seasons of Code Lyoko honestly had better writing, and that's a super serious sci-fi cold war show where the opening pilot is literally TeddyGodzilla. Like Miraculous rehashed that plot and somehow I prefer the Lyoko version.
I had this same thought watching the show. But as soon as you said cosplaying as the middle class. I thought of Marie Antoinette. This baker girl gives a whole new meaning to "Let Them Eat Cake" lol. Also their names are very similar now that I type it out. Are we being trolled by French Monarchs? lol
Omg I was just telling my girlfriend how Marinette's parents bakery is placed somewhere that HAS to be expensive as heeeeell to own 😂 hence she is a rich kid too 👌
Always gets me irritated when someone brings up the idea that Mari is “the poor baker girl in love with the rich boy” when it’s obvious she’s extremely rich as well lol.
This! She is SO freaking privileged and it's so nauseating when fans act like she's some under dog lol Marinette is not very relatable when you actually think about it!
like if she poor then what am i 💀
She's mega rich! And honestly- Chloe bullying doesn't make any sense..
She is not rich, and nobody says she's poor, she just isn't in Adrien's same social class
@@snasse1855 Exactly, lol
As a French girl, i can tell they live in the 16th or 17th district of Paris, THE BOUJEE DISTRICTS.
“THE BOUJEE DISTRICTS”
I don’t know why, but this just made me laugh 😂
(and yep, you're definitely on-point with this! The architecture and pple having generational wealth are pretty strong hints)
@@Maradrafts bit unrelated but it was always weird to me just how EMPTY miraculous's depiction of Paris is. especially in scenes where the Eifel towedr is in because you're telling me that this huge city with a big population that has one of the biggest worldwide tourist attractions has ZERO crowds?? and some school girls can just rent out the tower for some middle school dance???? what kind of fantasy Paris is this
@@chorryflower Haha, definitely! And I think "fantasy" is a very apt word... Didn't know about them renting out the Eiffel Tower for a school dance, but that's out there with being an actual superhero in the "scenarios that wouldn't happen in real life" category as far as I'm concerned. :D
(Being curious, I just checked - apparently you can rent out the Eiffel Tower if you want to put it in a movie... for a small fee of 8,000-10,000 eur. a day. As for event hosting, there seems to be a single hall available for rent (about 185 eur/half-day/person - 200 eur/day/person, if the info I was able to find is correct). So it's not entirely a dreamland scenario but would absolutely serve as more proof that these kids are filthy rich).
And yeah! The lack of people going around is pretty noticeable... I'm guessing crowds are way harder to animate and more people would mean more characters to design in general, but it was pretty weird for me to see as someone who's mildy agoraphobic and has thought "Wow, this narrow street has NOT been designed for so many people to pass through it at the same time" on numerous occasions while out and about in there. ^^;
You know what, this explains why everyone believes Lila whenever she says she knows celebrities. All of the kids in that school interact with celebrities on a regular basis, so it makes sense for her classmates to believe her when she pretends she saved Jagged Stone's kitten or had dinner with Prince Ali or whatever.
Yeah it would make sense but I doubt the writers thought about that sadly.
Plus, didn't Chloe and Rose both meet Prince Ali, hence, it wouldn't be too odd to hear that she met him either.
Overlooking the fact that Jagged Stone doesn't even have a cat.
@@reubenmanzo2054 Yeah he owns a croc or aligator. i forgot which one.
@@ShinoriDelfrim A crocodile, yes.
I doubt that in-universe paris is as expense as in real life, it seems like pretty much poverty doesn't exist in miraculous
Okay, I just pictured Ladybug and Cat Noir finally getting Monarch arrested for tax fraud, ala Al Capone, and I couldn't stop laughing for five minutes.

And let's not forget that she goes to a amazing school where everyone likes her and she was elected class president, meets famous people and even make friends with them, designed an album cover for a famous musician, won a design competition and had her work praised by a woman who is a fashion icon and even wanted to take her to New York and work on her career.

Wait i didnt know since when their school is a private one
I never realized that. They all go to a private school.
Not to mention she's the queen bee of the class. She's the class president, with her best friend as her secretary. Everyone there loves her and does whatever she says. Heck, there's like 4-5 people that had a crush on her
Another hint at Marinette's wealth is the fact that she makes her own clothing. Quality fabric is expensive and she just has a bunch of it.
She's not very good at it but I agree with you (just look at her pants)
Ik every time they bring up her skills its so mediocre and boring😂
Don’t forget Lila’s mum is a literal ambassador!

THATS WHAT I AM SAYING SORRY FOR POSSIBLE SPOILERS BUT HOW IS SHE A SENTI-MONSTER? WITH THE ABILITY TO LIE
@@theblacksamruott honestly the only confirmed sentis are adrien, kagami and felix

As a French living in Paris, the moment I saw her flat and the place it is , I knew she was wealthy. Her words, trying to make us believe she is just a normal girl never worked on me. I’m average, and my own flat is like her living room. And it cost me a lot. Can’t imagine how much they paid, while they are in a fancy arrondissement compared to mine.
Even if we dont count the Ladybug side of things, how is her life normal?
-She is a designer working for celebrities like Jagged Stone and if we take into account the fact it has only been One year in the timeline, She is not even high school
-Her family owns probably One of the biggest bakeries in Paris.
-Most of her classmates are related to important people like Sabrina, Chloé, Adrien or Alix, or they themselves are famous like her, like Rose, Juleka, Nathaniel or Nino.
In what way would this girls life be normal with or without Miraculous?
😨😨😨😨🧐
Isn't that the video we just watched?
Speaking of jagged stone it's revealed in crocdul that he's actually the father of julka and luka coffine and the husband of captain hadrock excuse me that's not her name that's her akumizetizon name I don't get her name so I'll just call her captain hadrock and as you can see he donsen't have the same last name as his family which means jagged stone isn't his real name it must be his pop star name
Wait why Nathaniel and nino their not rich, important people, or celebrity's
To be fair most of that stuff happened after the show started.
At this point you can't tell me that Marinette doesn't have a mary-sueish life. You can make fanfiction, replace Marinette with Y/N and you won't know the difference. How many "normals" kids actually got to meet famous people and be friends with them?
Good point.
She has quite a privileged life compared to most Miraculous viewers. Sure, she's not rolling in it like Adrien or Kagami but she's well set...for life!
I've been saying this for ages, "poor baker girl" my ass
She lives in a super pretty neighborhood in Paris, her parents own a bakery (that also seems to be pretty famous) and a big apartment with a nice view on a park and Notre Dame
She goes to a school where almost every kid likes her and everyone seems to be the child of a famous designer, an astronaut, museum curator etc and the freaking mayor of Paris, it must be a private school c'mon, and they meet with celebrities on daily basis😂
There's nothing wrong with having a rich kid as a protagonist in a series but saying that Marinette is a normal girl is absurd, she's super privileged😂
Thats how imperialist-capitalist media wants you to see reality. THEIR reality. Where everyone has money, is beautyful, happy and "middle class" and everyone who defies the status-quo or who is poor, is an enemy/terrorist or a freeloading loser.
And the fact that Félix's mother Amelie has Connections to the Royal Family because she's a Noble/Lady
And like that's her future auntie-in-law
Yeah, lol. Her life is perfectly normal. What's so weird about it?
That’s true, but it doesn’t exactly make her relatable. It makes her sound privileged.
So, what you're telling me is that she's a bit tone deaf? /hj lol
Although some her actions and words seem to lean a bit towards that.

@@alezar2035 ...I don't think that's the intention in the show. It's just a show.
@@raistlin3462 That and in their superhero personas they are not equal partners. He is more of a side kick that can't really do anything without her. His superhero persona is a bumbling buffoon who's only use is to use his power to destroy the objects that hold the evil butterflies after she defeats the villain. between the two of them he's the one with some level of actual combat training(fencing) and yet he is next to useless.

THIS!!
Plus. She's neurotypical
I don't know if is normal in french public schools to have a fencing club.
And her Publicity as lady bug makes her a celebrity

@@Eclipse-mf6hc I did not know that, I know the bakery is
@@hydrodemon939 to be precise, it’s based off of an actual Parisian public school called Lycée Carnot
XD
As for the school, old buildings might sometimes be used for "common" things nowadays but they've kept their good old beauty. XD But I admit it can look abnormally stylish to some foreigners.
Now does that contradicts the video? I don't think so. Marinette still seems quite gifted!
Also Chloe and adrien are children from famous people so it would make more sense why they would send them there
Just the fact that she has enough pocket money to afford such expensive hobbies and equipments, and not be pestered by her parents about it, is proof that she ain't your normal teenager

That house must be worth MILLIONS of euros.
In that school, they don't use notebooks, the use tablets instead, bro
Um... I've been to a computer IT school, we were adopting tablets.
im not even upperclass but this is the modern society we're living in.

The idea of using tablets is so insane to me. I can barely dream of having wifi to manage to message my mother when I'm sick

Tbh the only reason why Mari's branded as the "poor girl" was because Chloe is just classist lol
Ain’t nothing normal about these characters. 😂
we dont blame you for the disclaimer, some of the fandom can be pretty braindead. someone blocked me on twitter for simply stating i didnt like the episode ephemeral so like
I have to say one thing: I'm a fan of MLBCN for 5 years, and I must say, that I have constantly thought about this theme, since I've always been interested in understanding how wealthy or not the characters I'm going to watch may be.
In general, I feel like the west tends to present upper class as middle class, and middle class as lower class*
I haven't really seen proper working class/marginalised representation in kids shows apart from Hey Arnold, Ed Edd and Eddy, and Clarence.
Even in the early simpsons I'd beleive they are upper working class, now they are straight up middle class, walking around with the latest iPhone.
I would have to say the worst thing about how people define the middle class in the west is how so many upper class people genuinely perceive themselves as middle class, simply because they’re not top 1%
As a result, they completely erase the grievances and hardships of the actual working class and are completely divorced from what it’s actually like to grow up in a modest household where parents don’t earn 100-200k salaries.
@@Sanakudou really good response. I'd also say , the middle class everyman is no longer the everyman since that demographic is shrinking

You don't find a teenage girl from France relatable smarty pants?"
me, who was a french teenager girl from a lower middle class family living in a parisian suburban town when I watched an episode of this show for the first time: "Yeah, that girl is giving big 'bourgeoise BCBG' energy, she's undeniably and definitely a rich kid living in the 16th district of Paris"
Being the daughter of a baker doesn't necessarily mean she's in a lower social class: at a certain level, especially in France where expertise in luxury craftsmanship is greatly valued, a talented artisan can make a shit ton of money, likely even more than some highly paid desk job.
Hmmm, he could be donating his own money and threaten to cut it off if Chloe doesn't get what she wants? I guess?
Considering Chloe goes there, it's probably private. His control over the school likely comes from a mix of the prestige that having Chloe there brings, him being able to ruin the school by sharing to the news and justice whatever dirt he may have on the school and giving the school big donations
@@mundoatena1674 I like this idea, so thanks for sharing it, it's great justification.
No it's a public school, the school design is also taken from an actual public shcool in Paris.
" Hi, I'm Marinette. a c l u m s y girl with a *hectic* life" sounds more believable xD
"her home is sort of modest"...
... it's a norma/bigl-sized appartment... IN PARIS!
4 floors
Idk why this was so hilarious to watch, but you're completely right, the majority of the characters are pretty well off financially
You forgot about these kids living in a geographical area that have some of the highest property prices in the world
Marionette's apartment should've been much smaller like an egg, with a bunch of the bakery's equipments around the place taking space of their apartment.
No wonder Chloe acts like that, it should be Chloe not Mari
theres something about me that no one knows yet. uh huh..
they really gotta change the intro omg
Her school is not a public institution. It’s clearly a private school because it sits in the heart of Paris
She's high middle class to mid wealthy. It's just a lot of people who go to her school are rich to absurdly rich.
Honestly, if this girl somehow is living in a whole-a$$ tower and not in actual normal housing in Paris, you know she must be loaded.
Also, if her parents bakery is the most successful, then I can no longer picture Monarch going to every bakery in Paris when the kwamies told him to ‘follow the smell of croissants’
i didnt realise how insane this class' families are.
By jet*
Yes i always thought mari was rich I’m sure that school is a private school it’s owned by Mr d agancourt who is a descendent of a knight or royalty
(the notions and threads I can write off, you do a hobby for long enough and you'll build up a collection)
But to quote Chloe "It's ridiculous, utterly ridiculous"!
Spiderman : hide his secret identity and fulfill his uncle's promise
Superman : hide his secret identity and
protecting metropolis
Ladybug : hide her secret identity and *stalk a rich kid she had crush on every single day*
“in THIS WORLD he is a really famous director” 😂😂😂 you didn’t have to destroy thomas like that 💀
ironically the only person in this school that ISN'T rich and famous is Lila
That school she goes to is definitely a private school. It looks a lot like the one I went to when I was in Catholic school
And Kim's parents have normal jobs. I mean, as the sayning goes, it's not rocket sience or brain surgerey. Oh wait, ...
Are we being trolled by French Monarchs? lol
Its almost weird how much sence this makes😂
Omg I was just telling my girlfriend how Marinette's parents bakery is placed somewhere that HAS to be expensive as heeeeell to own 😂 hence she is a rich kid too 👌
