The Water Temple as well as the other dungeons in OoT were fantastic. Majora's Mask is just as good, so I am a bit curious whether Aonuma had great influence in designing the dungeons in MM. Because if he did, I would have to disagree with Miyamoto. Aonuma would make incredible dungeons.
Miyamoto is, indeed, a savage. The whole Majoras Mask thing started when Aonuma got recruited to make the Master Quest version of OoT, however Aonuma did not wanted to change his own dungeons in order to make them "better", so he started, without any authorization drawing new dungeons from the scratch at his working time. Miyamoto got angry and the fight resulted in Aonuma being "invited" to make his own Zelda, with the condition it would be done in one year and without Miyamoto supervision, or else he would be out of the project. So, that whole case was basically one big "make it all by yourself if you are so great" from Miyamoto.
It really is the best editing I've ever seen in an interview, of you decided to keep this as your signature style I, and many others wouldn't complain. Wonderful job.
I like to think that when he got back to the office he slammed that Metroid piece of paper he took on the table like "Here, this is what the people want" and that's how Metroid Dread was made.

It's near hearing them speak fluently and sternly, while still being very chill and funny.

Ocarina of time is Ganon/Ganondorf's origin, anything before that with him included would be a mess and a bitch to piece it all together, so I never considered that it took place before ocarina of time at all.
I did, given that Ganon is so radically different. Yeah, there's the shrine monks, but "Ganon" could still be the name for the curse in its raw form. Obviously, that's not the case, but it was possible.
Also in the trailer the Great Deku Tree says to Link that he has forgotten what has happened, and it's time to remember what happened 100 years ago etc. If that wasn't clue enough lol
The favourite Japanese words they chose were: 独創 (dokusou, originality), and 夢 (yume, dream) (For "dokusou", it could also be 独走 meaning like, a person who goes it alone, but that seems less likely considering their position as representatives of a company)
