If you go to the video and pause at 8:20,
there is a usb c port on the bottom of the switch. That means no
proprietary charger, and it can be charged with a battery pack.
Which also links up to the earlier report of USB 3.0-1? being used meaning faster charging/downloading. Great not to make a concession, yay non proprietary!

+Gungho73 The port on the switch is USB C but the connector on the other end is a standard 3.0 connector. That way you can plug it in to pretty much anything.
Jimmy is the best. I love how he already knew everything about the Switch and Breath of the Wild. You can tell it was genuine too, he wasn't just prepped for the show.

I love my Nintendo switch. Tried to save up for a ps4 pro and decided on the switch because I had to do chemotherapy for 5 months. Glad I got the switch In June 2018. Got me through boring sleepless nights in the hospital and can play it at home, on the plane, etc . Connect it to a tv easily. I love this machine. Mario odyssey is super fun.

Savior botw is completely diffrent, but incredibly fun. It rejuvinated my love for gaming.
It works as well as the art style for The Wind Waker. That game still looks great even almost 20 years later today.
I wanted a switch since it's launch but couldn't afford it. On my 18th birthday in late 2018 I finally got a nintendo switch smash bros bundle, but on October 2019 i accidentally left my switch on the public bus because I am a special ed student but last month after trying for months to find an official retail nintendo switch (I didn't want to buy from people selling for anything above the original $300 pricetag) I was finally able to get a new nintendo switch alongside a copy of super mario 3d all-stars and since I original had a NSO subscription I didn't lose any of my data (exception for splatoon 2 so I lost probably 12+ Hours of save data including the splatfest exclusive items) but I can get used to a new start because I'm just happy I can finally play my old switch games again.

I showed the trailer of this console to my friends, I was advertising it and the results was them calling it gay cause it's made from Nintendo and not PlayStation. EDIT: Just to be clear, I'm fine with 30fps for a Zelda game. Every 3D home console Zelda has been 30fps or less. I'm just trying to point out the absurdity of insisting that the game is in 60fps when the video itself is only in 30fps. I also think it's hilarious that people think this is me hating on Nintendo.
I realize that not many people were claiming that it's 60fps in the grand scheme of things, but when I made this comment, people were saying it.

You see even if the camera is recording at 30fps it can still see 60fps screens. I noticed that for example on E3, people try out games for themselves and people are filming the TV-screens. and you can see that the gameplay is 60fps, because the camera can see it and looks very smooth. I don't know if this made any sense, but.....yeah :)
if the video is 30 fps. it can't tell the difference between a steady 30 fps with no drops and a higher frame rate.
obviously if it drops below 30 it can pick it up but otherwise it can't unless the timing of game play changes which it will if there is no frame skipping. which frameskipping in itself can make a game look slightly choppy.
go check Digital Foundrys vids when they do games tht both had 30fps (previously or switchable) to 60fps and they do side by side comparisons of it. U can clearly tell the diff. on a 30fps vid. It just takes a little bit of training of watching those kind of vids (this vid we're on right now) to notice.

I loved playing monster hunter on the psp, so i think i will pick one up unless the switch gets that franchise too.

I went PC only a few years back. I'm thinking of getting a switch.
PC and Nintendo are in my opinion the companies with the best exclusive game, the only other game that buys me which is not on Nintendo and PC is The Last of Us Series.

Why not? I was a console gamer all my life, but slowly started warming up to PC, when my house got broken into and my stuff all stolen a few years ago. I had to rebuild and the one place I still had games was the few I had on PC. So I built a PC and never went back to consoles, never saw the need, besides a few exclusives, didn't feel like I was missing much.
But this Nintendo Switch, looks amazing and combines Nintendo's home and handheld markets. You add in some 3rd party support hopefully this time and you have an amazing gaming machine that will go well along side my PC.

Did you see that smooth frame rate?! Even when Undocked!!! That is clearly 60FPS, I am so hyped for Breath of the Wild, it runs so smoothly on the Switch, I am fanboying so much right now!!

you can't tell the framerate from the 30fps video, and it did however look like it had a slight hickup when they where panning while showing it on the big screen.

Is this confirmed? Or do you just think they are? Because I don't want to buy a 3ds just to play the newer pokemon games but with this I can play all the console games with it.
Magic Elephant This is just a rumor so take it with a grain of salt, but supposedly they'll be making Pokemon Stars (the third version of Sun and Moon) for the Switch. But again, this hasn't been confirmed so I wouldn't get your hopes up too high just yet.

+deutschkrieger1991 bethesda indirectly confirmed it that the switch will be ATLEAST as powerfull as the xboxone. they said that they wouldnt make games for it if the switch is weaker than the xbox, but it turns out that they are REALLY optimistic about the console and have plans yet to be revealed

Well another reason is the corporate reason. He works for NBC, and NBC owns universal, and universal and Nintendo is working on an attraction at Universal parks. So now it all makes sense Nintendo would go to Jimmy first before anywhere else.

Don't fret....I'm 46, and I can't wait for it either. I bought my first Nintendo 8-Bit Entertainment System in 1986 when I was 16, and I still have it....works great. I even have the original Punch-Out with Mike Tyson, and yes, I beat him. ;-)

Pretty much, the dock just ups it to 1080p/60fps with its components, not extra processing, if the rumors are true.
+Blueblur64 the port makes it run slightly smoother due to it also being a cooling station
But the difference is minimal.

The main catch would be battery life, but considering reports came out about charging cables being (Blueblur might be able to help me here) 3.1 USB-C it means it would charge rather quickly. The dock itself is a charger and might add to ventilation but ultimately the guts are in the handheld you saw itself. It'll clock itself to normal docked with added air cooling and the power source not being a concern and underclock when in handheld mode for battery. that being said, even underclocked it looked fine. Wish we had a higher resolution screen other then a projector background...but that's only real gripe I had.
