You should add an update after this regular season / bowl season. With Baylor now 8-4, and riding a six-game winning streak, they are headed back toward respectability. Never know what will happen next year...
I was an incoming Freshman for the 2016 year and have been a life long fan. I remember sitting at lunch in my HS when my mom texted me asking why Arte Briles just got fired. It was a HUGE gut shot. I had been to so many Baylor Games growing up and watched us rise out of NO WHERE. I remember when RGIII lead us to our first win over OU. That was one of the best games I’ve ever been to. Hoping we shape up this year big time.
I feel like the Big 12 as a conference just got a little tougher. Like in 2022 when TCU decided they wanted to whoop everyone's ass, or when Texas and Oklahoma both had quality seasons in 2023. They do need to make a bowl game or Aranda has to go, that is true.
@@SaturdayShenanigansYT I hope they do.. I really like Aranda but the problem is he's not winning enough games.. I respect the hell out of him to for hiring Gary Patterson and he was one of the first coaches to speak out about the current AD firing him the way that he did..
You're right dude, Aranda is easily on the hot seat this year. And whether you believe Art Briles was ultimately 100% guilty for all the craziness down there or not, the fact remains is that their best player (RGIII) and their best coach (Briles) are ultimately tied to controversy and flaming out in the NFL. Maybe I'm off, but I feel like Baylor's a program that lacks a clear identity and expectation. As much as they wish they could be Big 12 champs every year, I just don't see it happening. Not with the current staff at least. They do have a HELLA nice stadium though.
Their new stadium is niceee. You're right; with all the chaos, they have no identity. It's hard to build something great in that situation. Thanks for watching!
What is TX Tech's identity? Houston? UT's identity used to be to do the least with the most. With the way coaches, and now players, move around so often, the majority of schools don't have an identity. Do you mean tradition?
Well, you're not wrong about the extreme roller coaster ride that has been Baylor Football, lol. And get ready for another chapter in this story cause next year, BU is returning quite a bit from this year's 8-4 team (the vast majority of a pretty prolific offense) and should have another one of those "up" years (which would be 2 years after going 3-9).
I used to love watching the old Spavital Cal offense with Dykes. Too bad during those days, we had no defense😭 Those teams would score 48 a game but give up 50.
Another BU Dynasty video... missing key facts. And you are not to blame. It will always and forever fall on the shoulders of the Baylor Board of Regents, who scapegoated Briles and the football team (predominately, it's black football players). I urge you to read the final Pepper Hamilton report called Finding of Fact. It was discovered that from the 100 cases this firm found at BU from 2012-2015, only 12 were pointed toward athletics, and I believe only 4 of those 12 were actually surrounding the football program. This firm never interviewed any of our players or coaches. This was a hit job. Briles did everything he should have with the capacity and authority of a head coach's POV. Individuals should do more research before making videos like these. UT, OU, and TCU could not stand "little ole Baylor" whooping ass like we were from 2012-2015. So, they colluded to restore a sense of homeostasis to the Big XII. They succeeded, and the rest is history. - A starter on Special teams and Defense from 2013 to 2017 at Baylor University. 2x | Back-Back Big XII Champs. RIP Chance Waz.
I can say what's wrong with Baylor football ! Just like it happened with Baylor basketball ! 2 words Saturday shanagans waco Texas ! Or should i say Wako, Texas, jamie

I'm loving this summer in Bismarck. Thanks for watching!

10:55 “the most bipolar college football team of all time!” 😂 lol as a fan I can attest this is true!!
Good points on Baylor's inconsistency, but your opening comments were far too slanted to the negative.
they landed their OC in Spavital late last year and as a Cal fan I think he is a good pickup

Not sure about Spavital yet
The problem with Baylor CURRENTLY is their offense..

Let's get to 20k by August 31 y'all
