I have volume 7 for the Removable.. After typing "del vol" it shows "Virtual Disk Error: the Object is Not Found"

I SOLVED THIS!!
*Go in cmd and type: diskpart
*now type: list disk
*type: select disk x (x= your usb drive)
*type: create par primary
After you go in "my computer" and open usb file, after you format the usb but you lose all data on the usb (if you want this)

As soon as I saw your video and realized it was a hardware problem I just pushed the part that plugs to the side and somehow the old smash it method worked. At 2:35 if you get the error "Cannot delete a protected partition without the force protected parameter set." then simply add "override" to the command. i.e; del vol 2 override
Excellent explanation, but in my case I also have 0 (zero) bytes showing under the Size category. I have been having a bit of a hard time for a couple of days. I have faithfully, and exactly followed the instructions from the Administrator: Command Prompt dialogue box; and it cannot find the volume even though it is drive E, now I changed it to drive K; because I am doing everything I can, such as going several times to Disk Management. Then under the View menu>Top, choosing the List mode, so that the empty Sony micro vault 4GB 3.0 USB flash drive can be noticed, and identified. However, Windows cannot find the "volume" from this flash drive. I bought this Sony flash drive of 4GB, that is 3.0 USB in 2013, and I rarely used it. I recently downloaded, and finally installed EasyLock into the flash drive. Furthermore, I mostly use this Sony flash drive for ReadyBoost because my Acer V3 laptop computer upgraded to Windows 10 has a USB 3.0 to the left side of the computer. Great video. Very well explained. I got to the step with "delete volume" and got some message about I/O error and it could not be deleted. I figure its some kinda hardware issue so I tossed the memory stick.

In my case status is NO MEDIA instead of HEALTHY and when I try to delete the volume it says "the object is not found", I can also see it in msconfig, looks like it's dead? Otherwise, that's the best explanation without missing any steps!
When I type clean command after del vol it gives me this error
DiskPart has encountered an error: The system cannot find the file specified.

I was terribly frustrated because my 1 week old 128gb pendrive became unreadable and undetectable by my laptop..... I went through almost 20 videos but none able to resolved. Well, yeah because unless u format that, u can't make it visible... Hopefully, I had backed up the files already somewhere else and then I proceeded with the steps.
yeah, that's what i thought. did you back up your files by yourself somehow or you had to go to, like, an electronics store or something?
No..... O backed up by myself using OTG cable and connecting the pendrive to my phone as it was although visible in my phone but wasn't visible in computer. Later, I just followed the steps and made it how it used to be before...

when I type create part primary it says no usable free extent could be found. it may be that there is insufficient free space to create a partition at the specific size and offset. specify different size and offset values or don't specify either to create the max sized partition. It may be that the disk is partitioned using the MBR disk partitioning format and the disk contains either 4 primary partitions, (no more partitions may be created), or 3 primary partitions and one extended partition, (only logical drives may be created).... Can u help me out please

Thank you! I managed to save my usb that said unusable thanks to this.
Select the disk you want then type "clean" and wait for the promt, then type "create partition primary" and wait for the promt, finally "format fs=ntfs" you can type whatever file system you want to format it to. You can also add "quick" after the file system type if you want.

Hi, you need to make the info clear. Will this delete all data on the USB flash drive?
I did all the steps, when the step tells me to format the USB, I stopped.
As I havent done the "Format" Step yet, I'm guessing my data is still on the USB drive?

Hi. Actually I had the same problem and when I changed it to NFTS, I could transfer the data that is more than 4 Gb but it became so slow and it shows an already occupied space in my drive (14.8 GB free of 14.9GB). IS there any workaround so I can make the data transfer fast and have the full capacity!!

This issue may be fixed, 2 shopkeepers of computer was unable to fix the issue, mine external hard drive was ok in sony led tv, i was able to play videos there, but when i attach it with laptop or any pc it freezes the laptop, mostly i was able to see drive in my computer and device manager, but not in diskmanager, no partition tool was able to fix it, when i click drive to open it in my computer, it show not responding and freeze the laptop.... you should attach the external harddrive with android tv devices or with satellite receiver and format it there, mine was fixed without even formatting, i attached it 1st Mi Android devices, first it start freezing when i try to play videos with kodi media player, i then switched off by unplugging cable from electric board, i tried again and again and kodi media player was able to play videos and then i attached it with satellite receiver, there was option to format drive, but i didnot formatted and played videos there, (there was option to format the drive)... then i attached it to laptop issue was fixed...

I had a RAW USB drive that was supposed to have 8GB, but was showing 700KB. Formatting wouldn't work and chkdsk wouldn't work because it was RAW. This video helped me fix it. Thanks!

hi in the list vol part .. the one i should select was showing volume 3 and in the type column shows was unknown in the size column 0 B in the status column was also unknown ,, or can i go right away on sel disk then clean??without checking the volume?? hope you can still help..

If you still haven't fixed this, try to write "delete partition override"
This worked for me and I could complete the other steps and the USB stick now works.

format using disk management. Right click on My Computer and select item "Manage", and then click Disk Management. Now you can see local hard drive and partitions and the USB drive which can be recognized by capacity. Right click on the USB drive and select "New Simple Volume" item. You'll get the New Simple Volume Wizard which guides you to recreate new partition for the flash drive.

In the case of memory cards: What has worked for me when right-click
formatting, disk management, changing drive letter, chkdsk and diskpart
won't help is inserting the sd card in a dslr camera, formatting it
with it and snapping a pic. I take it out of the camera, pop it back
into the computer and it works.

mine doesnt shows space.....when i del this volume it says the object is not found......i just mistakenly unplugged it from LED tv...and before that i changed its partition from fat32 to ntfs....do u have any fix for that plz help...and i also had change the volume name when i made parition to ntfs before i had prob with that usb flash....
