Even if i don't end up playing this game, i'm buying it to support because of how much this game impacted my childhood!
The limited handgun range makes sense to me. You need to trust that it's a guaranteed hit and shooting at longer ranges while under pressure is much more uncertain. Obversely, the rock doesn't need to be precise and can just be tossed as far as you like.
I swear....this brings tears to my eyes...so much nostalgia 😢
“Can’t take amo or weapons, typical of this game” if you are referring to behind enemy lines and beyond the call of duty, sure. Commandos 2 and 3, you could look weapons and ammunition among with uniforms and other items. And we want that back
Reminder that the previous titles had underwater areas, expansive indoors areas, picking up of enemy uniforms, guns, and ammo, shareable inventory between commandos... this is more like like a mimimi game (desperados III) than a true commandos game. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing.

ikr, I like desperados III, its very good game but this feels like they just copy paste it into commandos and doesnt feel right. I was looking forward that we´ll get smth like modern commandos 2 with the features and the beatifull music.

Yes, and Eidos could have continued with their own creation if they didn’t f it up by going “oh, let’s do smth like Medal of Honor/call of duty”.
I really appreciate and enjoyed this demo and the developers did a fantastic job. It was fun and needs some improvements before the final release. I'm a big fan of the commandos series, I've played all the games in the franchise. The commandos nostalgia vibes are coming back. These is one main issue, they have remade the commandos origins from commandos behind enemy lines and didn’t follow the inventory system like commandos 2 and 3, even after so many years of advancement in gaming technologies. Secondly, no pick of enemy guns, that’s a shame.
Commandos 2: Men of Courage and Commandos 3: Destination Berlin capture the authentic atmosphere of a real war game, delivering immersive details and intensity. However, Commandos: Origins lacks that same level of realism. Commandos 3: Destination Berlin stands out as the most serious entry in the series, featuring highly complex missions, the toughest enemies, and a fast-paced gameplay style that builds immense pressure on the player.
The only drawback in Commandos 3 is that the missions are short and often limited to specific areas, making them feel more constrained compared to previous games. Still our hopes are high for this game. And one more thing, if the soundtracks in missions are good like Comm2, Comm3 and high octane, the game will generate high sales and profit.
On the positive note, great job, Devs!
One of my first "real" games was commandos, played it over and over again, really nice to se they are finally making a new one 🎉
I like that how the enemy steps back as you charge on him, unlike previous commandos where they would just stand there and try to shoot 😂
The only downside to this game is the range on pistol is ridiculously low. Even lower than the rock.

the game looks like it's already 10 years old, I know it's still Commandos but it could be better, the game "63 days" was recently released and it looks much better ,
for barrels (objects) you have to hold ctrl and then you can shoot

They should have incorporated more of the original. Even the backpack on the edge of the screen with the players items was more aesthetic.

it definitely needs to have non-lethal takedowns,able to pick up and use enemy weapons and enterable buildings like in commandos 2 and 3. but damn i hope gameplay is better then this just a dang shame mimini games shut down their studio, DS3 is awesome so much fun.
1940 British Commandos wore 'green berets' but as far as I'm aware they were never actually referred to as 'Green Berets', just Commandos, I think.
I hope they take their time to really polish it, I loved C2 so much back in the day.

Remember commandos 2 published in 2001. 23 years later this ***** game is coming... It's could be good game if it's has different name but it's very bad and shameful to have the legendary commandos name which we love it... I am wondering if any of developers have ever played commandos before...
Desperados 1/2 were one of my favorites. Along with original Commandos.
The enemy sight radius seems dumb, you can pretty much crawl in front of them and they dont see you...
I think the pre rendered graphics from early 2000s looked better than this thing
I played 1 and 2 last year (old school back in the day moment) and....... its not LOL. better to remember the good feelings than try to reliving it

I can't make Green Baret shoot the barrel. So I come here to see that barrel explodes. Seems like you can't shoot it too. A bug perhaps?

Aynı anda iki farklı komandoya komut verme sistemi çok iyi. Patlama efekti güzel.
Ama eksileri çok fazla
- Düşmana yumruk atma bayıltma veya bağlama yok
- Uzerlerini arama envanterlerini karıştırma veya dolaplara kasalara bakma yok.
- Loot yapma sistemi commandos 1 de bile daha iyiydi.
- Oyun müziği yok.
- Alarm diye bağıran askerler yok :(
- Kaybolan veya ölen arkadaşını arayan askerler yok.
Kısaca daha çok eksileri var bunlar duzeltilmesi gereken elzem özellikler..

Instead of using XCOM approach with overhead view, there are too many WW2 already. I would like to see them use 3rd and 1st person views like Sniper Elite series.

its not commandos when you cant pick up enemy gun and items. this is just another ww2 theme desperados. too simplified. i want the option for my whole squad to equip with mp40s and blast through the mission.
The hell you talking about, the first Commados did not have this nonsense with equipment, and it's still the best one of them.
My bad, my memory of the first Commandos game is a bit hazy. But still, I disagree with your point about it being the best in the series. The later games introduced more features that enhanced the gameplay, and I believe those features should stay.
looting is boring, I prefer the approach of commandos 1 or desperados
I was excited but then saw the silly mechanics of the game and I will not a buy, I wanted more realism and better fluid controls... But I wish it good luck and success.
Where is commandos inventory? Why I can't loot NPC in 2024 game, after 21 years passed since last chapter? This game is expected to fascinate the old-school fans, beccause younger generation like 13-16 year old boys don't give a damn about this franchise. I'm completely disappointed after I had a hands on with demo. What should we expect to be released next? "Commandos Subway Surfers" where I have to press just 2 buttons or "Brawl Commandos Stars"?

Good kills but this Commandos seem quite easy compared to previous Commandos and recent games such as 63 days. Character's voices are also a problem. I don't feel strong & real voice of Green Beret or the pitiful scream of soldiers when they are killed.

Range of hand gun is not gud in this demo they need to fix it and also the input of shooting as well....they move to that point rather than shooting.
The tool tip literally says when firing at a NON HUMAN target press RTCTRL and/or LFTCTRL+ Left click 🤦♂
Why they are you walking so strange. Physics is copy paste for all solders and it's really funny. Commandos 2 which is published in 2001 is sooooo muchhhhh better In everything. Even the graphics is better comparing to this cartoon graphics. Where is the reality? This is disappointing for me as super fun for commandos. One of any music thems for old commandos game is better job than whole this game...
had to check commandos 2 & 3 gameplay videos here in youtube, because maybe my memory was innacurate. But really, old games look better than this one. The new game might have higher resolution and full 3d but it lacks quality in the textures and lightning, something is off. Old games have some kind of beauty in their graphics, that sadly this new one lacks.
@@FelipeGonzalez-xn2mj exactly my friend.. and i suggested to play commandos 2 ( the original copy - not remaster) and you will really enjoy it. It's enough to hear the game music thems made by Mateo Pascual to reach high level of adrenaline in the blood.. The old game made with love with full respect to the players and so much of detail. Game such as commandos 2 start working on it 1998 and published 2001 have much more detailed than game made in 2024. High resolution doesn't enough. Thanks for your comment ❤️❤️

The 1st and 2nd commandos were terrible
First Green berets were formed in 1952 fort Bragg North Carolina.. 10th special forces group
Yes and now they were in ww2 but yes as a grope 1952 but in ww2 they was called it because of their head were and it was even then a special forces
And the green beret was the official headdress of British Commandos since 1942 and is given to Royal Marines who pass the Commando Course who are called Green Berets. Hence why this guy is called, The Green Beret.
