I got a small disc with the scope that had the software on it, I just downloaded it onto my laptop and it worked fine. There wasn't too much advantage with the information in the vehicle menu, you could get a lot more from a book called automotive waveforms by Graham stoaks. I hope this helps, thanks for watching.

I have used this for a while, although I have now given it to someone else that showed an interest in oscilloscopes. I found it worked ok, it would freeze a few times during use on a vehicle resulting in it needing switched off and on again. There wasn't much different in this one when comparing the waveform to a hantek 1008c It does have a record and play back feature although it will miss some information that may be important to your diagnosis. I would possibly save some money and go for the 1008c, I still have mine although I mostly use my 2 channel handheld hantec or a Pico scope. Thanks for watching

I have a four channel automotive scope, it's the 4425A. I find this has helped me a lot with my diagnostics. It does cost more however the hantek accessories all work with the Pico so you don't need to buy it all again if one day you choose to get the Pico. Any scope is better than no scope at all and I got to diagnose cars with the hantek that I couldn't have diagnosed without a scope. Thanks for your comment and your support.
