    I didn't like these sculpt but your motley has made me realise it's the studio paint job

      They are great little sculpts, they remind me of a cross between old gw empire kits and Bolt action plastics. I can't really fault them at all.

      I was thinking old bretonnian men at arms once you'd painted them

    Yellow on black is tricky. You made it look easy. Respect.

    They're looking excellent, fantastic paintjob and the bases are incredible too!

      The bases were so simple, fun and easy. I think I'll do another video going over it again.

    Im also not a big fan of Oathmark humans, but Your paintjob is great!

    • @ScruffyCrow
      @ScruffyCrow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What is it that puts you off, it it the more heroic proportions compared to say Perry?
      I really like them as a kit so I'm interested as to what puts people off.

    • @bicskeiz
      @bicskeiz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ScruffyCrow Hard to say... Bit the proportions, bit the too many mustaches, bit the equipment, and all that gives them a comic like, "Asterix and Obelix" look. I love all the other kits from the Oathmark series (goblins are especially awesome), have almost all of them, but the humans are not my cup of tea...

    Great paintjob! A little question, what miniatures fit best with the oathmark humans? Been looking for a company that does the closest scale to them lol

    • @ScruffyCrow
      @ScruffyCrow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm afraid I can't help there at all, these are the only human models I really own. I have heard gripping beast miniatures fit well though. What type of thing are you looking for?

    • @Castillo525

      @@ScruffyCrow something the same size, thats all, heard the same about gripping beast. Btw, do you plan on getting the oathmark human cavalry when it comes out?

    • @ScruffyCrow
      @ScruffyCrow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For sure, I'm planning on doing 5 as rangers and 5 with shields so they can be heavies until they do a heavy kit.

    • @ScruffyCrow
      @ScruffyCrow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not a bad call, they look pretty nice. This has reminded me that the Rangers of shadow deep minis are a perfect fit although the clothing is a bit more modern.
      I might have to pick up some of them though.

    I tried the foundry flesh, but it just looked too orange. I've reverted back to GW.
    Have you done trial of who makes best flesh for elves / dwarfs / humans?

    • @ScruffyCrow

      @@ScruffyCrow foundarys buff leather is better than their named flesh. coat d arms is nice. But I have not bought or tried any of the many boxed sets now available on ebay:
      mig or Vallejo or andrea or AK.
      I have spent many years hoarding a large barbarian horde, and I am telling myself that i haven't started them yet as I have not found the perfect paint.
      I would appreciate your experienced opinion on which is best for value / realism / ease of use / blending etc.

    • @ScruffyCrow
      @ScruffyCrow  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's definitely something I'm looking into because I need to replace all my P3 paints. I'm gonna try Coat du Arms next I think. Squidmar just did a long vid looking at various paints I might watch before I invest though. I really do not like the consistency of foundry paints and I fully regret picking up the starter box.
