Awesome 👍🏻
"innocent, something wholesome about them" while showing two goblins burn to death by a wizard's spell :D
When comparison quality always prime first or there is no chance to see any difference at all.
Recently bought some darker resin and it looks sooo crisp, but I suspect its just showing the details better. However I generally look at specific details and edges when I have identical models side by side and can pick up reasonably small differences.
Good stuff, thanks for the video.
I agree with others - Tamiya sure as hell knows their audience! They even let you put together their tools! I love it. :D
Hope you will show this crew in use in a later video. Please😎
Just what I needed! For the colours I’m too used to napoleonic uniforms to think what skins an alien should have. Also a starter crew for Stargrave in particular.
Sam was always my favourite from those 😂
You're not going to want a rectangular shield on a horse, you're going to use a round, oval or 'kite' shaped shield. The top corners are going to make weapon use in the saddle awkward and the bottom corner nearest the horses neck is going to be a problem.
Are you still collecting halfling miniatures? Im currently sculpting, molding and casting and a set of 12 generic halfling miniatures amd would like to sekd you a set to review.
Definitely still am but ran out of physical manufacturers, happy to take a look!
Absolutely fantastic work. To celebrate 25 years of Mordheim may local group is running some games. I was thinking of running Carnival but not having any suitable models was going to stopping me. Till now, will have to do it old school as I don't have a printer, but I can get a team and have plenty of weapons in the bits box. Also great color scheme.
I have a 3d printer and have both modern and old mordheim models. I prefer the retro OG versions. Fit the dark scheme so well
Appreciate the video. Did you find a work around for the floppy / failed supports? Is it under exposure?
Not really, I think thicker supports may help, I think to know in advance which ones need to be thicker would need more exp than I have or trial and error. However I think I would only use this resin now as an add in (maybe about 30%) with the abs like and not 100% on its own.
Great video an the having to put in together is the best you know how it's going to work an just what it can do before breaking or tearing up if you think about it thank you again for sharing this video
This is some of the best resin I have worked with. If I had known it was so hard to get a hold of, I would have bought a ton of it. At least the abs I am left with is not terrible.
The SUNLU abs-like resin is my new go-to. I finished my 3rd run today on my Phrozen Mini 8k. It may be just slightly less crispy than the "premium" resins, but in terms of toughness and flexibility, I don't think it can be beat. And for $18/liter (if you buy a 3 liter bottle), there isn't a close second.
They need the Minion Treatment.... Yellow helmets and blue overalls.
Amazing is there anyone selling these? Drew who sculpted them said he sold the molds.
Love the content and the story telling, I noticed you haven't put out anymore videos or I'm not looking in the right place. Hope to see more. Thanks for sharing!!
Unfortunately I moved like 100 miles north and it's been trickier getting more games in. We keep trying to arrange something, but if we do there's a chance it would be Old World now.
@@ScruffyCrow sounds good sir. Good luck and we will keep an eye out for it.
Can't say I just wonder if this is the joy toy that make the new warhammer action figures because I would find that very humerous.
These robots have good design, inspired by more than one saga/comic book, it's a pity that their human minis are too big respect others ' brands, otherwise could be seen as a good add to my collection.
Very nice. Might look into these myself.
That's a great building. Hope the beastmen are going well, been missing the updates
They are, I have been a bit distracted by a random project thats almost done but there should be a good update soon
Are people still playing Gamma Wolves? I can barely find anything recent on the game.
Hi from 2024 I'm potentially interested. Other that Heroclix, I have little to no exp with tabletop games, or Pen and Paper Rpgs. But I'm coming in from the model customization side (which I am also a beginner) so i have a few questions: - about models when the number is higher - say 1 / 100 scale - isn't that physically smaller than something in say a 1/72 scale? - whats the diameter of the largest base available for this game? - is there a height/size limit to the models we can use? for as long as we can fit them into the bases?
Not looked in the book for a while but the scales are not really important more the model base size. Even the base sizes are not super important as long as you have 3 diffrent ones such as my examples of 50mm, 100mm and 150mm.
I don't know why people use PVA glue for basing on plastic , it just doesn't bond to it at all . Just sits there as a film once it's dried
Some do certainly but you can either try to find a PVA that sticks better or just scratch up the surface of the base a bit. Do you prefer basing/tacky glue or something else?
What would you do with all the contaminated water? At least with IPA you can allow it to evaporate and let the remainder go hard in the sun before disposing of it. What's your thoughts?
Any plans to start a game of 5PFH soon?
Its always on the list but its looking less likely as time goes on. Turns out I dont have much motivation for Solo wargaming, espacially when I am getting regular games in regularly.
@@ScruffyCrow I understand. Motivation is key. Thanks for the reply!
The GF9 snow is still available in the US on ebay. Lots of it there Q- How do you keep the PVA from turning the snow yellow over time?
Da biggest git iz da best one
NetEpic seems to be getting a real bump from Legions Imperialis being out - a lot of folks are intrigued by the scale and ease of getting forces on the table, but less so with the limited range and scope.
All water wash (ABS-Like, or not) are way too brittle for most uses!! Then you have the 'future cracking' issue. So all in all, a waste of time and money!!
Really loving this idea (and the beastmen blog in general) gonna dig around for some wings to try to replicate this.
what type of instya mold did you use?
I really want to make a small halfling Bretonnian army. Finding the knights has been the hardest part.
I'm not super keen on them but TT combat does a whole fling Brett army. maxminishop.com/collections/fantasy-halflings-1
@@ScruffyCrow Awesome, I'll have to check them out. WGA digital has a great halfling foot knight that inspired me to try to make an army for them.
I do absolutely love the sculpts, been eyeing them up for a while. Will be choosing what to get wisely as a full oldworld army would be pricey 😂
Looks like an interesting box, I'm definitely thinking about getting it, as was a big fan of the he-man cartoon in the 80s. I am looking forward to seeing more content on this game.
Think I might pick these up, make myself a sci-fi vampire army
Nice haul! I really thought that was Joe Wilkinson on the thumb nail.
How was the toghness compared to the abs like one? Have you tried the product jayo Resin ? I haven't tried it, but I tried their filament and it was decent results. But I can't find any who have tested their resin.
It was quite different from the abs, the abs has some flex and is quite hard, this was more akin to the kind of rubbery plastic reaper bones is made of. I have used the Jayo ABS and it was quite similar the Sunlu ABS.
if you felt heresy doing this, i felt similar when i cracked open 4 blisters of the orignal jes goodwin skaven blisters from '84.
Are people not curing after? All of the resins I use flex just fine until I cure. Then all of them break just the same.
I actually cured longer than usual with this stuff, also I find that uncured resin can be a bit weak whereas this, after curing is very robust.
Yes we’d be interested in some Dead Man’s Hand 😊
Yes, we all have a backlog 😂😂😂
Love the conversion, I used the same for mine and it's just glorious. Put a bow into the feet of the girl standing on her hands
NOT buying something because of having a backlog....That's a totally new concept for me. :D
Enjoy your wyrm!
I intend to at some point!
Nice Salute loot! I restrained myself a bit this year, my big (literally) purchase was 3 giants from TT Combat's Max Mini resin range - I nearly went all in on the giant army box which would have been 6 giants and 3 behemoths (an amazing deal), but I settled on the 'smaller' box of 3. Other than some Black Scorpion men-at -arms those were the only figures I got. I did pick up some Renedra scenery and a few assorted paints as well, but not a huge haul compared to last year. The show itself was good, although as you noted there weren't as many visually spectacular games on display. It certainly felt busier than last year, I'm pretty sure I missed a whole bunch on my various circuits before I ran out of my allotted fun time and had to return to my chores!
Id love to see some dead mans hand stuff and also some dracula in america stuff
I've been watching lots of videos of the event. The things that stood out to me were The Guards of Traiters Toll preview and the Moonstone table. I was disappointed to not see more videos on The Drowned Earth or Hobgoblin and it looked like Midgard ruleset wasn't on display, the last year's board was amazing.
The traitors toll scenery looked really nice actually, I should have mentioned it.
Nice haul, I've had my eye on When Nightmares come too. If you like it after a few games I'd love to see some videos on it :)
Played some call of Cthulhu recently and enjoyed it so I might see if I can interest a couple of people to see it more as an RPG session
@@foxbat51 Sounds really fun!
@@ScruffyCrow That would be awesome!
