- Our golden retriever puppy Peanut is now 10 weeks old and has learned some basic commands such as sit, stay, down, come here, leave it or NO and also a few tricks such as shake with both paws, high five, bang bang, roll over, leave it, and spin.
She is so sweet. You a blessed to have her in your life. I just lost mine after 12 years. It’s so sad when they leave you. Thanks 🙏
I can understand how it feels when ur dog is not near u😔😔
Sreelatha Y : thanks I appreciate that kind words. I’ll never forget her. She was prefect, never smelled, never shade, always came when called, and she was pure white labradoodle female. Thanks 🙏
@@stephensfarms7165 wt was her gud name🙂
Sreelatha Y : her name was Cele.
We're all mortals Stephens. She's in doggo Valhalla now, you'll be reunited with her on the other side. Stay strong.
Very cute. I miss my golden friend very badly - lost to old age after 16+ years of being my best friend. Enjoy Peanut.
Goldens only live up to 14 or 13👎🏼
That's like saying all people live to be 70 years old. That fluctuates based on genetics, diet, exercise, mental behavior and many other factors. All I can tell you is, Josie, my golden, lived 16 plus years before I was forced to take her to stop her suffering from cancer. I have heard others tell me their dogs have lived to 18 years. People DO live to be 110 at times. There are no absolutes in life spans.
We love them so much .... Your pup is in heaven playing with my best buddy, Ansel.
10 weeks and she knows so many tricks... respect for both of you!
I can't believe how many tricks she's learned at 10 weeks! You have a genius pup...:D
So cute! She's going to grow up to be such a gem of a dog because of all the time that you spent with her! She's already so impressive.
She is the cutest thing I've ever seen!
it is a best age to teach dog tricks, they get very entertained while being trained :)
She's absolutely adorable.
Smart Pup - Goldens are absolutely the best!
Peanuts' video brings a smile to my lips. A precious bundle of fur, joy, love, energy and cuteness! I miss my Sasha. She was with me from 6 weeks until she was 12. Such a blessing to me. When others say how lucky she was to have me, I was actually the lucky one to have met her and spent time with her.
Great job with her, as a certified trainer myself, my only suggestion would be make sure between tricks there is a minimum five second break between commands, and never show her that you have treats in your hand. Get a training bag and only show and give the treat after the command and only if she does it. Other than that your tone is great, her eye contact with you is spot on, showing that you have established a good bond with her. She is waiting for your lead... very good!!!
👍
+TheBerkeleyBeauty Waiting 5 seconds gives them time to process and perform each task, it ensures you are getting and capturing or rewarding the right behavior. you can start training as soon as possible. the younger the better but keep in mind with very young puppies you have to start slowly training sesions of about 10 to 15 minutes at a time and always wnd on a good note. for puppies that are not being trained as service dogs you can start training at 8 weeks socialization should start early after their first shots are complete, unless you bring people into your home.
+TheBerkeleyBeauty if you bring friends or family in before shots are complete make sure they have not been around any sick dogs.
+itsapitome jones - Thank you. I've had goldens and labs for the last 25 years. The first 2 were before kids, so I had time to train them but we only went as far as walking etiquette, sitting, staying off the furniture, coming when I call, not jumping up and things like that. After kids, it was even a little less because of the time constraints. Now my kids are in college, and since unfortunately, I've had to say goodbye to my last two buddies just recently, I'm contemplating another puppy. THIS time I'd like to train her/him to do all kinds of things and I'd like to start ASAP.
It's only been a little over a week since Pepper (my black lab) crossed the bridge. 4 months before that, Daisy (my golden) crossed. I thought I would wait until next summer to get another puppy, but I miss them both so much and seeing this little cutie makes me wanna take the plunge a little sooner than I thought.
Thanx for your input.
+TheBerkeleyBeauty Firstly, Im sorry for your loss, thats so hard saying goodbye to them. I can say you will know when you are ready, and if so go for it! you can introduce clicker training as well which helps them recognize the moment they have done the right thing. If you do and you have any questions feel free to message me and I can send you my email or I am on instagram under the name pittiechicklette I am happy to help!
SO CUTE! Clever little puppy!
she is soooo smart and adorable and cute at the exact same time
Awww he is so well behaved.
She's very cute, you must be good peeps to her, she is very loyal!

Such a sweet girl at such a young age 👍♥️
Golden Retriever puppies are ridiculously cute.
Peanut-great name for a beautiful dog. Very nice
what a beautiful and smart puppy xoxoxoxoxo, more more Peanut please
It's different from one cat to another I had two rescue kittens who were brothers and one was almost talking with me, the other was cute baby. Smart brother not only learned what I wanted from him, he also thought me what he wanted/ what's going on etc.such as coming and getting me to show the sparrow nest at the front door and he used absolute different words and body language for it.I'd say "stay I'll be right back" he would wait for me in that room without moving an inch.He also loved+cared
Amazing at such a young age!
Sweet little angel. I love that face and I do hope you have many wonderful years with her. Hugs to Peanut.
👍
Beautiful Peanut - she's going to be one fantastic soul mate. So love Goldens and I have never had one but my friends did. Amazing dogs.
The high five is just awsome...
peanut is the cutest name for anything ever ;3
good girl this dog. beautiful dog.
I remember when I taught my puppy tricks almost 15 years ago. I miss him so much, I hope you treasure your time with Peanut she's too cute :)
Awwww when you tell him/her to leave it, he/she looks so sad!!!!
awww...beautiful girl peanut is...
my golden is Teddy, when he was 7-9 weeks old, I had already taught him to sit, shake hands, lie down and roll over, and wee and poo in the toilet. And now he is 7 months old, and can do all of the tricks from this video, additionally he can also "hug", "beg", sing (in his own way) to a mouth organ (which he loves doing most) and runs straight through treats on the command "come here". Goldens are extremely intelligent. He is however having troubles learning "fetch". He is a perfect walker, i have already finished the leash training. I love goldens. They are always a part of the family.
This is such a brilliant video. My wife and I get our 8 week old girl Golden on Friday and we can't wait! 3 sleeps to go!
i luv golden retrievers they are the best dogs in the world. Well done peanut

AAAAAAAAW :) i recently got a golden retriver pup, he's about 18 weeks and already knows: sit, shake, lay down, over, roll over, beg, speak, stay, come, wait, spin, and play dead. He's a smart cookie :)
Treats on the foot trick is amazing - perfect camera shot
I cant wait to get my golden in the summer!

She's better trained at 10 weeks than my Golden is now! And mine is a year old!

Your house is pretty! I love the neutral colors.
I love the " you see what they make me do?" face she keeps giving the camera. Such a ham.
i'm getting and golden retriever for christmas it's gon be the luckiest day ever! i might do an vid of it.
Damn man 10 weeks thats impressive. My dogs a whippet and a year and just learned to shake.
Smartest breed I've seen. The other day I was asking my friends dog to sit and his brothers dog that he had over sat from across the room before his hound even comprehended, Also when they were both beside me he would give me high fives all the time when i asked and he is 9, There always puppies
herro HI Yea but huskies can open cages and doors and I don't mean with helper handles.
I never said, Huskies weren't smart, My other friend back in high school had a husky that would say I love you and talk, there very smart as well
herro HI many dogs are smart, but until you have owned a golden, I'm not sure you could understand how we owners are so enamored with them. I'll never own another breed now. They are one of the most expressive dogs I've ever known - uncannily so. My dog got to where he could pick up on my "micro movements" and I literally though he could read my mind, until I read about how adept they are with that observational skill. This is one of the reasons goldens are known to be great with handicapped people. Amazing animals
herro HI oh... and I was addressing that comment to the others. You already know this. :)
sooo darn adorable. he high-fived.
I loved watching this video!
i have a 13 week old golden retriever she's so cute!!! :)
Awwww Peanuts is so adorable & smarter than the most of adult dogs!!
You have a beautiful puppy and wonderfully trained. My girl, Auri, is 3 months old, but I've not gotten her as far as Peanut.
congartulation!!! you are a very good trainer!!
Such a smart dog! I love her!
What a good actress! She's so dramatic when you shoot her! She's adorable and I love the way she lies with her feet splayed out behind her. What a cute puppy and so smart!
so cute!! she takes so long to chew the treats its to cute, amazing tricks too love it
aww, she's really smart! and she's really cute too
Oh so sweet!! That's incredible at 10 weeks old! My golden is 11 weeks and can't do all of them yet but we're working on it :)
How is he now?
How could this get disliked? Soo cute!
I got my dog when he was 1 a year ago (already fully grown) and he is still a pain to train! He has made progress though.
My dog is a lab and she only knows shake, high five, lay, sit, tell me nicely, and jump. She is 3

Awww amazing I have one and I see your videos to train
During bang bang, she was trying to dodge the bullets, haha. SOOO darling :)
Bella! 😘❤️
My Golden (pictured) was a music critic. We had to stop watching American Idol during the talent search weeks because she would howl at the bad ones. She loved rides in the car but had to have music playing, if it wasn't she would grumble and make high pitched squeaky noise, turned it on, was so happy, she'd smiled and laid down. Anything she didn't like such as rap or hip hop, she's cry and grumbled. They are very fun and funny, loyal, loving, I refuse to call her a pet, but a member of my family.
That's amazing.
racist trash
Golden Retrievers are so intelligent. My parents used to have one, and were able to train her to sit and lie down just by clicking their tongues. My boyfriend and I hope to get one soon! It would be amazing if you could post a video on how you trained Peanut. :)
i want a golden retriver puppy but my parents will never get me one!! you are so lucky!!!
aaww such a cuty pie ♥
10 weeks puppy- congrats, very nice training:-) and cute puppy too!
This is adorable, and everyone knows it. But I agree with people below. How did you train Peanut so well? We're getting our golden puppy in 8 weeks =)
Everyone watching this, you can make any golden do this but you need to spend time with it. This golden is going to be an amazing dog when it is older
She is so adorable❤
In a month ill be getting one also 10 weeks, cant wait ;)
god was showing off when he made golden retrievers
So cute
good dog! good trainer!

Danielle Watson Are u stupid? some feminists are just...
