I am not really a fan of videogames but Nintendo 64 remindes me of the good old days. I'll probably buy the white one. It's beautiful. Btw, your voice is really smooth and relaxing. Keep going
If Wi-Fi is used for firmware updates of the console and controller, I'm ok with it. I just hope Analogue is not thinking about any kind of DRM to implement on the console.
Will the SD card slot allow playing of games via ROMs? For example some like to keep the cartridges in mint condition, so having the ROM to play is much more appealing via the SD card slot. This is a buy or no buy requirement!
Officially, Analogue does not support Jailbreaks but, I have all Analogue consoles, and all of them get jailbroken by some company that looks and acts very similar to Analogue (I do believe it's the same people, but they just can't say it) And It's always super easy to do, and you can put the entire library on the SD card and play all games just like if they are being played through the cartridge.
EverDrive will work 100%. FPGA consoles act exactly like original hardware. But all Analogue consoles got jailbroken, so I will assume this will be too.
I work at a retro games store and we just sold an n64 for $60. Do not overpay for outdated tech with a fancy label on it and certainly don't pay $250 for a bootleg console regardless of how good it seems.
This console is FPGA, it's a modern recreation of the N64, it's nothing like software emulation. This will make N64 games look much better on an LCD than an original N64, and it will deliver the exact same gameplay experience has the original.
Nintendo can't sue Analogue because they are not using any Nintendo IP (intellectual property). The hardware is entirely in FPGA that recreates what the N64 hardware is, but there is no patent infringement.
@@SuperLifeCore I know about Analogue and their products but not having a legel leg to stand on wouldn't stop the big N from attempting to sue them into bankruptcy. They might claim the new fpga system infringes on their possibility to capitalize on their back catalog of IP's or that Analogue are attempting to pass themselves off as a Nintendo licensee because of the similarity of the shell of their system to the n64 design. I mean the sky's the limit for Nintendos excuses to sue a company or person into oblivion. They're so sue-happy I honestly think it's their side hustle 😂
$250 for a n64 in 2024, scalpers you can have this one.
Ahahah. Let's hope scalpers don't scalp this one. It is expensive, but the enthusiast will be all over this regardless.

You need better mic, can't hear you bro 😅
@@ChespinGator 😅 Thanks, ill check it out.
Thank you so much 😊
Wifi is probably for updates to the OS or even updates of features that may not be ironed out on release.

I would assume at the very least that an EverDrive-64 cart would work with it.
@@JTLeClairOh that sounds ideal thanks!

@@SuperLifeCore This is excellent to hear thanks! Now to decide if to pre order or wait for reviews!

Can this play 64 DD?
Honestly I think that it cannot but, Analogue has not yet given any information regarding DD compatibility so we're going to have to wait.
just wondering how long it'll take Nintendo to sue them :D

What ridiculous prices. I'll stick with emulation.
Emulation is also awesome. This is expensive but, the enthusiast of the N64 will appreciate it.
@@SuperLifeCore you mean the scalpers. Lol
Ahahah. Let's hope Analogue accounts for that.
