    Awesome job!-and they do look good 👍-do you have a link for the vinyl wrap?

    I bought the same fog lights. The wiring harness is identical, but the wires are spliced together going to the on off switch. The only wires that need to be connected are the ones going to the battery. It doesn’t have any wires that need to be spliced and connected to the inner fuse box. I kept going back about 30 times on the video because I didn’t understand my wiring harness. But now I get it. I guess mine is a newer version. But the video is very detailed. Thanks!

    Where is the pre existing firewall hole grommet located

    • @EverythingAvron
      @EverythingAvron  ปีที่แล้ว

      From the engine bay it’s in the top right corner behind the battery area. From the inside it’s way up to the top corner under the dash on the driver side.. assessable by laying on your back next to your pedals and reaching up

    Cool tip with the blacking out the chrome. Nice Getting ready to put fog lights on my black Elantra gt. That would be a good look! Thanks

    Ordered the same kit but the wires between both fog lights were too short. Not a big deal though.

    Did you adjust fog lights

    My wiring set is just slightly different than yours. My red light does not turn on, and there isn’t any positive or negative cable coming from the switch connector side. There is just one yellow wire that says “ACC” so I’m guessing it’s an accessory wire that needs to be hooked up. I fiddled with it a bit and all of the connections are right, it’s just that one yellow wire. I hooked it up to the wipers and the green light would flicker on and off only when the wipers were going. This was in the fuse box under the hood, and when I tried hooking it up to the fuse box under the dash, the stereo wouldn’t turn off when the key was out of the ignition??? So I just pulled out the wire and my stereo is fine again. Pretty weird. I’ll get it eventually.

      @EverythingAvron  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So yes sounds like your yellow wire needs to be hooked up to a "switched" power source.. So you could tap it into the Headlight wire so that when the headlights turn on your fog lights turn on. Or you could manually wire in a switch from battery and connect that wire to that and control it yourself.

    Hey Brother, i need your help with running the switch wire through the Firewall, i found the grommet and it is solid to make a hole by a screw driver, and the bushing is tight around the cables which makes difficult to slide the wire among the existing one, some body also made me aware of heat sneaking in to the cabin and am concerned about safety hazard issues

    • @EverythingAvron

      im not sure the size exactly but the same screws that hold the black plastic pieces there will also be able to hold the fog lights themselves

  • @baelvalencia
    @baelvalencia 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    The base where the screws go for one of my fog lights its broken. Do you think there might be a way to install them?

    • @EverythingAvron
      @EverythingAvron  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you still have the pieces of that base you could use an epoxy to adhere it back together and screw back in. Otherwise you may have to clean the surface and use a good automotive epoxy/adhesive/silicone that could hold the light down in that spot? these are just ideas though

    Hey I would like to know is there any existing wiring for the lights so I can hook up the original fog light switch

    • @EverythingAvron

      Not sure if there is on the Accents, I know with my F150, the XLT has all the connections available in the main body harness for all the accessories the Platinum had, but I have to buy all the other secondary harnesses and components... Probably a good question for one of the Hyundai Parts techs

    Why did you not record the part where you connect the cables to the battery that's like the most import part

    • @EverythingAvron
      @EverythingAvron  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      my apologies, However that part is pretty straight forward. there will be the red positive and the Black negative and the other wires will go to either the switch itself or to the Foglights. But next time ill be sure to not truncate that part

    Where are you buying the parts for yours? I have a 2014 Hyundai accent gs and I’m worried about changing anything because of not buying the right part and if it can even handle what I do. I’m wanting new headlights and taillights.

    MANY people have asked the same question, where did you pass the wires? I think the bulk of my 2.5 hours outside was just trying to find a way to pass the wires. And I asked for help, we still couldn't figure it out. Is it possible to do a follow-up video at least indicating where you passed the wires and explain how you did it? It would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    • @EverythingAvron
      @EverythingAvron  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So the white trigger wore is the only one that has to go through the firewall. What I did to make it easy to manage was de-pin that white wire from the connector that goes inside the car… then in the engine bay behind the battery very top back right corner is a large rubber grommet where the engine harness feed through. You have to poke a hole with a razor or a sharp pick then stick the wire through. It is easier said then done, youll have more room to work by laying on your back on the driver side floor board and reaching up to that top corner

      I wired a subwoofer into my 2014 recently, and the majority of the time was finding a grommet lol. Cut a hole in the grommet and tie some string to the wire to pull it through. Just be careful not to cut any of the other wires going through the grommet, theres quite a few.

    Thank You for the very nice informative video. Could you please tell how you passed the wire/s (think the white wire that connects the relay and the white plastic three wire connector for the switch) through the firewall. Did you go through the main firewall grommet (with a lot of wires going through it) or some other hole/grommet in the firewall? Also, what type of tools did you use?

    • @toxiccolin1797
      @toxiccolin1797 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hopefully you’ll see this. It is the main grommet with all the wires going through it right near the battery. I just wired a subwoofer into my 2014 recently

    How long does it take to install the bumper & fog lights

    • @EverythingAvron
      @EverythingAvron  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      First time, because you want to be careful with the brackets and wiring.. Id say you could get it done in 2-3 hours. You want to make sure its done right the first time so you don't have to do it again.

      I have a 2014, and I went to autozone since they had the LED headlight bulb number I needed. They’re very easy to hook up!

    • @EverythingAvron
      @EverythingAvron  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Indeed the LEDs will install exactly like the stock Halogen bulbs. They are just a different light type. They twist out and install exactly as OEM. But next time I make a headlight video ill show the installation.
