The Return of AvAngel with another Excellent Review!
Hm. I always liked the way Diamond Aircraft looked, externally, but holy cow, that interior visibility is just a crime. It's like being a tank driver!
exactly the same as in the DA62 we all know. I'll probably do a camera mod changing the seating position so the view is better.
Yeah, i do a lot of flights in Diamond aircraft around Japan but i hate the DA-62 and its dumb design, i love the aircraft but it its restricting. This aircraft looks and sounds amazing but yeah its restricting.

Like the Tecnam P2010, also this airplane seems based on an excellent 3D model avalaible in online stores for about 180 dollars. How good will be the flight model? There are more and more MSFS developers using those stores. The first one was the kitfox Speedster. This is tge reason for the low price. No development cost for 3D model and texturing, Asobo G1000 ....
Developers have used these resources for decades whether for parts or whole models across many games, not that unusual

The Tecnam is far less sophisticated visually. Especially the texturing of the interior is horrible.
Throttle IDLE on startup! It's not an Avgas plane.

I flew the Asobo DA 62 a bunch so I've metabolized the pillar in the face issue but I'm patiently waiting for the COWS DA 42 to come to the Xbox.
Twin engines are sexier to me, alas.
Thanks for your excellent review miss Angel :) I agree that the pillar is an obstruction, and it's going to annoy the hell out of me in VR. Which is why i'm probably going to have to skip this one. Sorry Skyward peeps!
I want to like Diamond aircraft but I just can’t stand to fly them because the visibility is terrible. The DA-62 is even worse with the huge engines blocking the side views and the ridiculously low pillar in your face. Thanks for another great video!
I was hoping to see AvAngel's review on this one! I'd been wanting a modern piston, so I picked this one up and it hit the spot. Looking forward to seeing more from this dev - hopefully they take your advice on the textures. Thanks for the review!

Your reviews are great. Also some issues you have on switches and systems is calming to watch, because these are issues we all have. And we can observe you problem solving or just doing the walkaround 😊 Your speed of speaking is also suitable for those not having english as mother tongue. Your thinking and handling is straight, and your piloting skills are great. Very sympathetic! A relief and a contrast to those youtube simmers hasting through the switches, and showing off their knowledge, which sometimes is more of a buzzword session. Hang on !
I am but human! Switches are hard, and i don't want to give false impressions based on too much experience. If its hard for me, it will be hard for you etc.

Might have missed it in your video, but how accurate is the flight model of this addon (vs the real thing)? Do you have any info on that?

You missed the springs on rudder pedals don't move going left and right, to be fixed bug. One part goes through other rudder pedal part.

Zhou are setting to far back. Adjust your view
This is the standard view of the aircraft. I can adjust it, but the default view point should be the correct one. I review aircraft where that is set
Feels like you were ‘sat’ too far back which exaggerates the pillar.

It's not a competition. I don't claim to have the first review, its just 'a first look' an initial one. It's what I do.
"not terrible at all. I've seen far worse" still sounds rather underwhelming. From the rest of your review I would tend to characterise this plane as actually well done without any major vices apart from the textures that won't make the pixel-peepers happy. Especially considering the low price, good sound, excellent interior and the fact that it's the first plane by Skyward, I would actually call this a very good product.
It’s certainly not bad, no major vices beyond exterior textures and the reflection
