I bought this on Wednesday, love the sound. Wish for a bit more patina in the cockpit texture. I found it tried to lung to the left on takeoff, and needs a fair bit of trim. But great fun. HNY everyone
Great video. Love the classics but for I guess one of the lucky ones that 24 is working great for, these new planes coming out need to be 24 ready. I still fly 2020 but when it comes to dropping more money it needs to be fully ready for 24.
Love your videos! I'm staying on 2020 for the time being. I shouldn't have bought the aviator edition lol hopefully they don't abandon the project and it gets better.
Thanks for the video. Nice aeroplane, by the way.👍 Hopefully, 2024 will get some important updates in early 2025. I use it only for VFR flying. Sadly, it has too many bugs in VR, for helicopters, and I don't like the blurriness of the LOD system. So 2020 will stay longer on my hard drive.
A lovely looking classic aircraft for a still summer evening’s flying by the look of it. I shall pick myself up a copy , it should be perfect in VR with my usb fan blowing the wind in my face. ( I’d say hair, but sadly can’t)
Ha ha AvAngel.. just thought of this song... If you want to be a bird Why don't you try a little flying There's no denying It gets you high Why be shackled to your feet When you've got wings You haven't used yet Don't wait for heaven Get out and fly. From Easy Rider artist the holy modal rounders😅
@@AvAngel I disagree. I am a professional flight model developer, and me and my peers are puzzled by a lot of the new stuff (and the old stuff, too, BTW). The SDK is riddled with errors and inconsistencies and missing information. If you read the devsupport channel, you'll find a lot of the confusion. Even the simple removal of the quick reload option is a nightmare.
Brilliant aircraft - one of the best addons in recent times. If you like to have one of those small, slow vintage flyers - this is it. One of the best sound sets in the game IMHO with the air noise changing depending on your head position. Thanks for the review :)
It only took them 4 years to make FS2020 usable (with bugs they can't be bothered to fix) so on that basis FS2024 might be ok by 2028. Any company that lets its customers vote for which bugs should be fixed next can not be take seriously. FS2020 still leaves FS2024 standing and I suspect that will not be changing for some time to come.
That flight showed that the CG was not in the right balance. I suspect that this is not how the developer intended it to fly. The CG looks way too far aft which would explain the pitch characteristics. I would not expect it to fly that way normally. Thankfully, the EFB can be used to adjust weight and balance. Some aircraft have a slider that can move the cg. Getting to around 25% MAC is usually ideal. But you were very professional as a test pilot to make the best of it when faced with those conditions. But the plane itself looks very nice and is otherwise very good.
There is a catch when it comes to taildraggers. The ideal CG is often very close to the pivot of the main gear so they get more prone to nose over as they get better feeling to fly.
@@AvAngel I don't think it is a problem at the developer stage, rather there seems to be some problem with the sim developer, where there is a blockage. As someone who makes videos any external views have to be excluded as crewed aircraft don't fly around without crew. This is yet another failure with MSFS2024 and I would advise people to not buy the sim until all the problems are ironed out. I have spent several thousand Australian dollars upgrading hardware and software to be able to use MSFS2024 and I have wasted that cash. I am extremey bitter that we have been used as Beta testers and see this as gross dishonesty on the part of Microsoft and Asobo. I am adding my voice to a multitude of voices who have expressed this same opinion. If the sim developers don't rectify these problems quickly they might cause the end of flight simulation with their signature on it. I feel for all the Third Party developers who are faced with these built-in barriers and have empathy with not just them but all the millions of people who have been blind-sided by Microsoft and Asobo.
Unless the plane is developed specifically for 2024, they will be pilot-less until Asobo returns from vacation after enjoying the wave of cash they took from their simmers who were not made aware they were signing up to be glorified beta testers. The pilot figures in each sim are way different. Therefore there is no way to port the pilots into 2024 from 2020 until the devs tackle this feat to make their planes fully 2024 compatible. For now though, we have advanced with lovely blue skies and beautiful green blades of grass, while simultaneously going back in time more than 20 years ago(pilot figures first entered our cockpits in FS 2004).Go figure, right?🤦🏾
Absolutely lovely video, and very unique airplane. Thanks for sharing it with us. I will definitely have to get myself one of these. :)
06:28 Fuel Tank Indicator lever; moved by mouse wheel perhaps??

Happy New Year and thanks for the info. Going to grab this myself.
Happy New Year :-) thank you for the interessting video .. as always well done
Thanks!

Bro, if they abandon the project, I will be SOOOO mad. The potential of 2024 is off the charts!
They won't abandon it, they didn't abandon 20 :)
We got 4 free planes coming woohoo
Love the new reviews with actual walkaround 👍👍👍

well done video thank
I like it. Btw what kind of setup/controls/monitors are you using to fly? Yoke, Pedals, Hotas or ? Thanks.
Honeycomb Bravo and Alpha controls, Saitek pro pedals. Monitors I use one for the sim, one for other stuff.
@@AvAngel NICE!
Aren't 24 FMs more fluid in general? This one feels very lively. I thinks its very well done- love it. The vid of course too!
Indeed
I’m not sure how Devs are not releasing 2024 native planes at this point. Would have been a purchase for me.
I'm not sure either, but native 20/24 is a very thin line tbf.
Because MSFS left us devs with very limited transparency, tools and info for native MSFS2024 aircraft development.
The devs are very transparent, they work very closely with a lot of the third party and first party developers.

AvAngel...be like Jimmys World...ask how many cranks before it starts?😂
Can I get a ... Clllleeearrr prop!
Reminds me of the bücker just in mono
There is a lot of similarity yes!
@AvAngel how is the weight feeling of this?I love the bü but it feels often like sitting on top of a kite
And you get a first aid kit if things go wrong.
love the aeroplane!! can't fly mine yet, mouse will no longer interact with cockpit or anything clickable....great job Microsoft!
That's unusual, screen resolution? Never heard of that issue.

Radial engine?
It’s what it said
Hirth HM60 inline I would think. Looks nice! Own up you used Wikipedia didn't you 😂 Good to see 2024 planes starting to drip through.
Of course I did :D I use Wikipedia for most of my info for aircraft as I'm not an expert.
@@AvAngel Whereas I would never dream of using the internet for my information 🤥
that grass at the beginning looks god awful! have the devs not been outside and seen grass before?
Only in your face, at normal viewing distances its not that bad... bit long but it was in 20
First annoying trivial post: I hypothesize an air-cooled in-line rather than radial engine.
It's what the information said, i did think it sounded odd given the cowl shape I would expect an inline 4?

A good number of those bugs in 20! Couldn’t be fixed without a new engine , hence 24.

I always leave aircraft totally stock on fuel and cg for reviews so it’s the same experience everyone gets. But you may have a point there.
No use to me whatsoever. No pilot/s.
I did notice that, not sure why
