Thanks :D. Setup is activate burst limit into will-o-wisp on phoenix, into lightning rod on ramu, then raging fists on titan, trying to make sure you're hitting both the lightning rod and the boss. Then wind up on titan into flames rebirth on phoenix, finally into judgement bolt on ramu. You can do slightly more with a strength tonic activated, and some comboing at the end :).

Biggest I have gotten is 76k lvl 36 :) Game is super good :D, Also if you wait with limit break after buff or light rod. Then it will cancel the animation so you can faster attack and still get 10% dmg bosst since they are "still on the field" :)
@@yeahdude4931 nah if you put down light rod spell and as you see the animation you can cancel the last part where he just way his sword and go start into his limitbreak. The limit break animation doesnt take time off the stagger bar, but light rod does. + you get same 10% dmg bosst on light rod since is spell that is on the field. this mean that you can start the stagger, lighing rod, limitbreak, pot, into any other fast attack to stack 1.50 multiplier and then do the high burst dmg you can after.
Just pulled 92000+ combo earlier today. Gigaflare, level 5 Zantetsuken and an upgraded Judgement bolt is nothing to sneeze at. As for the enemy that received that punishment, it was the notorious mark known as the Prince of death

Pretty much my strategy for getting through every encounter, especially ones with lots of enemies. Just the first two abilities alone will wipe out most basic enemy groups in one shot.
Will-o-wisp + Lightning rod + multi-hit move till 1.5x followed by ultimate attacks is definitely the highest single target strategy i've found. However, repeating that over and over gets a bit stale, so i've started experimenting with other builds for general mobs. Like using garuda, ramu and titan combos, or gaurda, ramu and other eikons combos for mob juggling. (Keeping it spoiler free :) ) Air combos feel the most fun, but the ground combos do the most damage. Still, if you want to incorporate air-combos into some of the stronger ground stuff, i found sacrificing one slot for garuda's air wheel move into titans ground pound move to be a very good stagger combo. Over the course of a battle could finish a boss quicker since you'll get to stagger sooner.
The funny thing is, the first 50,000 I got was on the notorious Adamantoise. Then the second was on an S-Rank monster (that Fallen mech with the sword).
The only thing missing to me is party member mechanics. It doesn't have to be multiple playable characters, just do it like KH and I'm golden (though it'll be even better to have 4-5 characters with different roles in combat). Team attacks, issuing commands (ala pause and strategy like Dragon age maybe), party gear and/or member management, party limit break, etc.
I agree, but considering its the teams first attempt st an action chsracter focused rpg, i think its a really solid foundation to improve on in the future. Make it a lil more final fantasy with party mechanics :).
Honestly I'm fine with the party just attacking like they do. I just wish that I didn't have to choose between having a real accessory or the ring that makes Torgal do something

How to 137k: Diamond D, wicked wheel Zan, laser, bolt, H cloud, D steel, Zan again. Do all of this with a lvl 4 bahamut going off at the start for more. Tho most things wont live long enough to get higgher.
You can change the setup outside of battle through the menu, just click on the gear icon, then select the abilities you've unlocked from there. Unlock abilities in the abilities icon for points you get from battle. Swap abilities mid combat (for controller type A) with R2. :) Once you have mastered an ability, it can be slotted into other summons slots, but it costs a lot of ability points.
"Gear and Eikons" tab in the start menu I believe it's called. Press X on the ability you want to change and it lets you choose from a list. If you've mastered an ability you can assign it to any eikon load out which allows you some flexibility to create your perfect setup.
I'm lvl 40 and the best stagger dmg I've done so far is 75k. I can consistently get 50k. I'm changing up my powers so I can do a lot of consecutive hits in the beginning up stagger then build it up to using that flare beam.
after dodging for the first time , you hit the boss with some flame swipes , how do you do that , only one i know besides limit break is holding down square and releasing

Is just a staggered combo by the time you have ramuh+lb won't be hard to achieve.

If you start your limit break after you put out the lightning rod orb, the limit break animation won’t play out?

My biggest up to now is 189K lvl 45 with Bahamut, Ramuh, Titan and Ifrit skills.
