Oh liberace what talent you have.. you're a genius in that piano and that wonderful personality to go along with it... what a wonderful entertainer you were..you are the best piano player I've ever seen wow!!! I will say it again genius!! May you rip🥰
You never saw Liberace without that amazing dimpled smile and loving what he did best! I saw him on, “What’s my line” a looooong time ago and the panel figure out who he was very quickly. Not too many back then could play like he did and receive wild receptions wherever he appeared.
He was my early inspiration to pick up on the B-3. He amazed people for half a century and long after his death. I am pleased we still have parts of him performing in his best years.
My Grandmother, used to watch him everytime he was on Television. It was before we talked about gay. She had no idea, and wouldn't have even been able to define the word.
People knew. They just didn't care. These days, it gets blank stares because these days, they'd make a special announcement about their private life and expect attention for that instead of for their talent.
In 1956 Las Vegas he showed Elvis the ropes on how to dress when performing. In just a few months Elvis was wearing that gold suit and you know the rest Liberace knew showmanship
The greatest american pianist at his time, with a strong classical formation as concertist! An outstanding amazing person! Merci beaucoup from Paris France

My mother Liberace, when I saw him recently I was thinking of dear old Mom, she was the mother of twelve children, I was number 10, keep enjoying Libby !!
Its ridiculous that one of the only piano progidies of this generation is foreshadowed by him being gay and flamboyant. Who gives a shit? He was a freaking amazing piano player
He is not a piano genius like Sviatoslav Richter or Martha Argerich. He is a business genius, though. He understood his target audience really well and what they waited from him: a outrageous pile of kitsch and bad taste.
Michel Baes Although it is generally acknowledged that he had the talent to become a great concert pianist he chose a more prosperous, lucrative avenue to success that complimented his style and character
...and the only reasons he didn't take it 32 to the bar was because... well... 1. No composers could write the music FAST enough. 2. The friction in the mechanics of the piano would have been a FIRE HAZARD. 3. He was only HUMAN.
Just wow! I loved reading once about how when he was younger he said he practiced endlessly, but then after seeing a particularly inspiring concert, he then began to practice in a way that made his previous efforts seem like laziness. He was a force of nature!

Today, 2019, Liberace is long dead, but finding this video reminded me of what a really great entertainer he was, supposedly the greatest piano player whoever lived, definitely a very handsome man with a likeable personality. and Liberace was the most flamboyant entertainer whoever took stage...anywhere. Today, I enjoy watching Liberace perform, the same way I did back in the day, but even more so now...thanks to TH-cam, I get to replay this video until my hand cramps and I'm totally exhausted.
What a great entertainer/pianist!
You know that he worked very hard on all parts of his act.
Very impressive, indeed.
Oh liberace what talent you have.. you're a genius in that piano and that wonderful personality to go along with it... what a wonderful entertainer you were..you are the best piano player I've ever seen wow!!! I will say it again genius!! May you rip🥰
Very talented man with fierce charisma!
I learned piano watching him, god he was truly greatness perfect performance thanks Liberace
Man. One cool dude he was. I watched Liberache back in the 1950's as a child.
Plus de 50 ans après,ont ne se lasse pas de l'exhibition de ce phénoménal ARTISTE
Put aside the controversy of his life and you have left a pure entertainment genius !!..
+Rich Palmieri
Maybe you need a lot of controversy in your life to become a genius entertainer.
These days, the mention that an entertainer is gay would get blank stares. Those days are over, no point in bringing it up anymore.
My Grandmother, used to watch him everytime he was on Television. It was before we talked about gay. She had no idea, and wouldn't have even been able to define the word.
I suspect the majority of his audience were oblivious to his lifestyle ...but nonetheless, no denying that he was a great musician and entertainer
People knew. They just didn't care. These days, it gets blank stares because these days, they'd make a special announcement about their private life and expect attention for that instead of for their talent.
Loved Liberace then, love him now, he was/is the best EVER!!! Sadly missed...
In 1956 Las Vegas he showed Elvis the ropes on how to dress when performing.
In just a few months Elvis was wearing that gold suit and you know the rest
Liberace knew showmanship
A double kick drum in 69' is kinda ahead of its time
The greatest piano player that ever lived. Period. Ask any concert pianist who's the greatest. Liberace..
The greatest american pianist at his time, with a strong classical formation as concertist! An outstanding amazing person! Merci beaucoup from Paris France
Van Cliburn might argue with you on that.
He was a super, if not the best pianist and entertainer, but his best ability was like most of old Hollywood, he worshipped his audience. His talent and memory will last for many years
Liberace was Mister Performer and always gave you everything he had !!
I love his 16 to the bar version. Check out Stephanie Trick on a Willie The Lion tune "Keep Your Temper". You will be blown away!
I agree. Liberace was a fantastic pianist, and one hell of a showman. How cares if he was gay? It didn't matter.
+Jonathan Felosi YEA I CONCUR! Who the fuck cares? I feel bad that Liberace's name is ruined just because of his sexuality!
Do you know how many pianos Liberace had? Nobody does but we all know he had organs up the ass!
I actually grew up watching Liberace on TV and he inspired me to teach myself how to play piano!😍
he made the piano talk,my mum loved him, entertainers like this don't come along often, like Elvis ;+)
HOLY CRAP! 16 to The Bar! That IS FAST!
...and the only reasons he didn't take it 32 to the bar was because... well...
1. No composers could write the music FAST enough.
2. The friction in the mechanics of the piano would have been a FIRE HAZARD.
3. He was only HUMAN.
Wow.wow wow
I actually saw one of his performances where he did 32, 64, and 128 to the bar. At 128 to the bar it was amazing.
Just wow! I loved reading once about how when he was younger he said he practiced endlessly, but then after seeing a particularly inspiring concert, he then began to practice in a way that made his previous efforts seem like laziness. He was a force of nature!
I saw Lee live in a Boston concert years ago at Symphony Hall. It was truly a night of magic. There will never be another one like him.
First time ever seeing Liberace, this guy was a master piano player for the past 100 years.
Oct 2020 and this still lives on so powerfully, absolute talent to the fullest. I really hope liberace knows where ever he is what joy he brought to the world with a gift from god like he had. 🎹🎹❤❤🇬🇧🇬🇧🙏🙏❤❤🎵🎵👍👍🎹🎹
I love love Liberace. He was an amazing musician.
What a performer and showman---and yes, he could certainly play the piano!💕
I am totally amazed at how awesome of an entertainer Liberace was. In the same category as Michael Jackson, Elvis and the Beatles in my book. I wish I had the chance to see one of his shows, but I was only 12yo when he passed. Never will we see such amazing music giants like this ever again. So sad that he is gone along with his museum. A true legend of entertainment.
Who would have ever guessed that this cat could play like this.......GREAT. Thanks for posting
I was a child when he died. I didn't know he was so great. True talent!
Liberace the wonderful showman, and also a great piano player, especially when he gets to the Classical part of his show.
you know who the king is when Liberace copies Jerry Lee Lewis. The arm motions the piano beating......pure killer
This man right here!! Better showman than any one in his generation. He was and always will be the greatest ❤
He was so amazing!!! Although I never got to see a performance, I felt luck to be able to visit the LIberace Museum in Las Vegas back in the 90’s. It contained many of this things. These videos are nice to watch because we also get to see how much he enjoyed putting on shows of the audience. I’ve no idea how much the tickets were, but boy they all got their money’s worth!!!! RIP
