Hello sir, in the part 34:41, "How does this affect learning English?"
I think it is an example of reduced present participle clause.
So what will be the full clause for this sentence? These could be possible, but I am not sure.
    1) How does this affect while you are/ someone is learning English?
    2) How does this affect by learning English?
Can the infinitive 'To' be used instead of 'ing'?
How does this affect to learn English?

@@dan93431 It's not a reduced participle clause here, Dan. 'Learning English' is just a noun using to represent the process of the acquisition of English through study or practice.

How can I start writing academic papers as a masters student of English language?

Do you mean academic assignments or published research papers? If you mean published research, you need to adhere to academic standards and present your papers to academic journals. If you are attached to an educational institution, it helps. Speak to your course director to find out more.

@@EnglishRich Yes, published research papers. Do you have videos to guide me on coming up with topics, writing and publishing on journals as an aspiring academic?

@@solomonwrites That's quite a specialist subject which is less to do with English and more to do with academic skills. Although I do teach academic skills, normally it's restricted to research and writing academic papers. When it comes to publishing, I can't yet offer a great deal of advice. The first place to ask would be to ask someone who has published research at your institution, or contact the journals themselves.

@@pallavi6228 that was a bit spontaneous, wasn't it?
I've been thinking about doing another story lesson. It's been a while.
