Spotify isn't even paying most artists the piddling amounts they're owed from spotify streams anymore, but only paying the biggest, most popular artists.
Okay, so if I Hip-Hop sharecrop and speak stiffly to the masses. Does that make me a capitalist? No, probably not. But this is the point of this video. Now excuse me, but you mighty mistake me for a capitalist.
KRS contradicts himself here. He starts off saying, “everyone’s in the black community”. Meaning, that people wrongly assumed that a poor community was all black folks. When in fact, there was everybody in the community.. Yet, at the end of the video, he makes an analogy about masterpieces, and assumes that the white woman wasn’t from also from a poor community, or even the same community.. He commits the same error he addressed at the beginning of the video.. Also, picking up money you saw someone drop does not make you a capitalist. Money is a tool of exchange. The basis of the exchange of value is mutual agreement. However, even with an elementary level of understanding, if capitalism is all about money, you’d have to consider at some point, what money is for. Money wasn’t invented for the benefit of the crooked and dishonest.. It might appear that way on account of what dishonest politicians and bankers have done to and with it throughout history, but government force and manipulation is not capitalism. Further, if not for capitalism, every honest worker would be somebody’s slave; regardless of race or ethnicity. Just for the record, if I didn’t have the upmost respect and admiration for KRS to begin with, I wouldn’t waste my time commenting.
It only appears contradictory because of the overlap of sectional oppression, sibling. Classism is what keeps poor people in those neighborhoods. To even be able to walk into the club door and "working on a masterpiece," you either went and got some money, or someone is backing you financially in some sense. Once you're in the door, then racism and sexism take effect, and people start competing and holding one another back based on that illusion of scarcity. Two homies from the same neighborhood are then separated based on skin color and set on different paths. There's a level of entitlement that tells demographics they deserve to be in a better position, and they'll go to sadistic lengths to fulfill that self-delusional prophecy, including sabotaging and handicapping any group they determine is an "other." And of course, the population that was enslaved and de-humanized is the easiest target to start with. Remember that "white" didn't exist before white supremacy. It was a legal term in America that dictated how much rights you had, and how human you were. But everyone loses, which is why there's so much white fragility about the situation. No one is white enough and no one is manly enough according to this delusional ideal, because it isn't a real scale, and therefore can't be a true source of value for anyone. But there's a spectrum, and some people are much further from the false "White Male" ideal than others, and since even the people at the top are insecure about it, they're happy to punch down on anyone further from the ideal than they are. Again, capitalism breads competition and classism anyway, and white supremacy brings racial division into that picture. We need new systems, for the good of all of us.
I'll say this, capitalism has no moral component; "I'm asking $32,437 for my 12 year old son cuz he's expensive. $ is slavery cuz it's value exists only in the minds of those that live in a monetary system all the while they have no idea how this "$" came to be. How it came to be was the reason for the Revolutionary War.
In capitalism every honest worker is somebody's slave. Who's got the money has the power. It makes the illusion of the ego become a reality. There is only room for material gain. There is no spiritual progress at all.
Mindsets Differ... This is what happens, in the comments, when one tries to have this level of communication with a colonizer, "they" just further colonize.😕 #cantfixwhatyouneveracknowledge.
Chris is on some victim shit. In reality the black paint painter was given admission to schools that the other painter wasn't, not because of his grades and work being better but because he checked a box in the school's admissions standards.
*"We're living in a colony...Not a civilization"* .......... *POWERFUL!!!*
I'll take it a step further, The United States Of America is a Corporation by way of a Business Contracts.

Didn't the United States free itself from British colonialism? So the U.S is no longer a colony. So how can U.S crime be blamed on colonialism?
All 3 branches of our federal government have been colonized by the highest bidders.
Puerto Rico, Guam, Panama, the Philippines, Hawaii and Samoa is your answer
You did not get his point
